This was just posted, but i think it still may be some help for your applications http://www.instructables.com/id/Sublimator-LCD-touch-screen-mod/ - Apparently the guide also instructs you how to turn off the "auto-off" feature as well as explaining the lcd upgrade. Im sure your could extrapolate the info you needed or at the very least use it as a resource. I have not personally read through or completed the process so forgive me if im not more helpful.
That's not for the XLR versions. If you knew the voltage range of the heaters, you could use a PiD pretty easily.

@christohari Those instructions will only work for the version 1 Sublimator with the cheap Chinese timer box. A badass DIY anyhow.

@MGG Seriously, only a 1 hour timer? I thought that version has a 2 hour auto shut off. What a nuisance of a safety feature. Especially now with the massive heat guard that makes it look like Shredder from the Ninja Turtles.

If you look at @bellas new Sub it has a 3 hour timer. A little better.

If my version 1 sub didn't have a timer override I probably wouldn't still be using it every day. It's the one feature that's held me back from ordering one of the newer Ti versions.

I took a peek through the classifieds, I found a user looking to buy a Sub if you do decide to sell!

Thats mod is for the older sub , not for the xlr2... As for the shut off, after it heated and ready i take a hit then i double tap it on and off, that resets the timer.. It soon becomes part of the process, if you do it every time you take a hit the timer will always reset.....

I do that but it's such a nuisance.

I had a thought about using something like Lego Mindstorms to double tap the knob every 45 minutes. Does anyone have any laying around?

Can anyone who has the Titanium V4 E-Nail comment on how well, or not well, it works with flowers? Looking to pick up a sublimator next week when they are back in stock at planetvape. I am not sure I'd be able to hit those tiny holes on the dabmaster and I do like to use concentrates equally as much as flowers. Or are those holes bigger than I'm thinking and not so tough to hit?

Cheers!

I have the nail as well as the dabmaster head, the dabmaster does flowers on it own better than the nail imo. The nail does double deckers better as i can get more oil on the nail than the dabmaster...

I was actually considering something like this lmao, like people have been discussing trying to overide the electronics but all i need is a mechanism that clamps around the device and double presses the button every 30 mins or so, it could run on battery and basically fix the sublimator lol.

@Ratchett possible untapped market here? haha.

Hi All
Just bought
Love the V4 E-Nail.
So now the Sublimator Kryogenic Condenser Coil 45mm Glass Tube
The first thing i found was the base is to small. It`s lose when it`s in the sub. base. For the price of this unit should of been better. Closer to the size of the sublimator base. Closer to how the cold wall fits.
Next was the flow of the vape thought the coil. You better have good lung power. Coming from the cold wall this Sublimator Kryogenic Condenser Coil 45mm Glass Tube is restrictive.
The mouth peace is to high up. Should of been more user friendly. I think. Now the whip love it out side of the restrictive of the coil tubes to small.
Then vape is very nice and cool.
Over all it work very well.

So would you still recomend the kryogenic vs the coldwall? Or do you still like the coldwall better? I find that you already need a good pair of lungs to clear the sublimator or come close to it. How would the restriction compare to the coldwall, maybe 25% more restrictive? I plan on using it with the whip mouthpiece as well. And I have even bought wider tubing so when i do draw through my new whip, its a lot less restrictive than the orginal. Thats great to hear that overall it suits you, i have never regretted my sub purchase either.

I would get the kryogenic. It is so smooth. The cold wall works good. But I find with the cold wall it gets
harsh after a few rips.
I would say there is NO restriction on the cold wall.
Other thing that is great is no water or ice to put in the kryogenic .
For me I would the new one for sure. kryogenic FTW.

HEY!!! where do you get that timer with a 3 hour shutoff. I hate mine and want to throw it off a cliff. 3 hours would solve everything.

PlanetVape:

When I bought mine they said all the new ones would have the timer.
I LOVE the SUB!
The timer the way I have it is deal able. A couple times I thought maybe it was glinching but that turned out to just be me subbing way too much and loosing track of time! It can be annoying but I am making it a part of my routine.
I am about to get my first Sublimate Oil.

That's a shame dude how did that happen, did you drop it like it's hot? I can't see any ceramic it all looks like metal to me but I hope you get it sorted.

I'm kinda interested in knowing what screens everyone uses. I'm using the stock screen & I dome it slightly so I can wedge it in just under the lip in the atomiser.
That's how I've been using it so the screen doesn't fall out when I dump the load but extraction seems a little light just around the screen area.
I'm wondering if I've got the screen too low & it's better to dump the screen with the load to get complete extraction.
Also does anyone know if the cord on the new monkey controller is longer? Hard to tell from the pics.

Hey poostuff

What happened was the ceramic rod got slightly stuck in the enail head and when I turned it the ceramic rod inside snapped, that shorted the controller box as I had it plugged in to the heating unit, but turned down to the lowest setting. Luckily it's all covered under warranty, but there is a wait on the monkey controllers.

I actually bought another sublimator...got an dabmaster adapt kit to keep me subing. I was told there's 2 versions of the new monkey box...the early ones come with a power adapter because of the size difference on the pin connectors...2.1mm vs 2.5mm if I remember correctly. The newer controllers have the corrected pins so there's no adapter. I'll have both versions of the box when the warranty replacement arrives.

I'd have no problem with buying another Sub if I had to wait for mine to be repaired @Fitski I've already thought about that, good move.

Can you take some photos? My cartridge heater has a metal body and it's welded to the handle just above the threading.

Yeah sure thing...here's the handle...the rod has very fine wires coming out of it on the right hand side...ceramic dust poured out of it as well.

At 1st I thought it cracked due to a heck of a lot use the day before but planet vape told me other people have had the same thing happen with the rod sticking just enough in the enail to crack it if you apply even a little pressure

Finally got a sublimator of my own! :) Went with the adapt a dabmaster kit and matched it with some nice cheap glass resulting in a sweet strong hitter!! Also picked up the sub buddy reclaimer and it is super nice, although the one I got is slightly too small in the atomizer joint and thus the teflon rides very high...planetvape, whom I purchased this sub buddy from is so awesome they are sending me a replacement :) If you are on the fence about ordering from them, don't be...they surely stand behind their sales!! :) Also, in my talks with them it came to my attention that heating up the atomizer in the glass stem is a bad idea so I came up with this alternate method of supporting the atomizer while it heats up. Cheers :)

I like the lotus screens there a hair bigger and they generally stay put in the atomizer on the top ledge with a bit of a bend. Or i cut my own out of cheap screen that isn't fine, I like big holes. The courser screens seem to grab better because of the screens scruffy edges. Draw restriction feels lighter and the screens don't clog as quick but obviously you get more particles in your sublimate, that doesn't bother me though and to be honest I haven't actually noticed any difference in my oil.

I recommend buying some cheap large screens of different fineness and cutting them down to the right size. The ones planetvape sent me are super fine and don't grab in the atty.

So did your new sub have sharp burrs on the edges of everything or have they bumped up their qc? I had to file the atomizer handle, the stand and the moon tool haha so sharp. And the metal defining the S was bent to f*ck. It was just a bit scruffy for such a high price tag product, yours looks nicer. I hope there getting better cause I'd definitely buy another in the future.

WISPR Mesh Screen Set This set of original WISPR Mesh Screens are original replacement screens from WISPR. Preferred by many Sublimator owners as an upgrade to their existing screens. These work great
