QB-GON Grinder

My Kannastor grinder does the exact same grind without ever clogging and I don't have to "shake" my herb through the grinder and collects the kief perfectly. I think the video put me off to this. If it can't outperform what I already have, then I don't need it. Wish y'all the best of luck.

Video with QB-GON in action! More info coming soon!

Now that's a nice video!

It looks like a really original grinder, and seems to work nicelyl!
I think I can see me purchasing one in some time...

Hope the campaign is a success!
Peace

Edit:
@smutman
Yeah.. I just got a GR8TR and am very happy with it too...
Although I can see me having this one in the future just because I like how innovative it looks and think I would enjoy playing with it! :science::lol:
I suppose that's why some people keep buying vaporizers as well, even when they have 100s

When holding QB-GON with both hands and not fixed in a surface, the movement from hands is enough avoiding taping!

See it'll be few and far between me wasting anymore money on vapes. There is only one more vape I'll buy because it will do something different from what I already own. Same with buying accessories to vaping/smoking/dabbing. No offense to @QB-GON but this doesn't do anything better than what I already own. Guess I'm through the phase of wasting money on stuff I think I need just to play with, hence a shitload of vapes. Unless I totally support that company or it does something better than what I already own/use, I doubt I buy it. This video showed me that this isn't for me and wish them well.

i cant remember of any other grinder i have seen with that mechanism.if someone has seen something similar would be nice to share it here. i cant compare to other grinders cause i would need to have one myself to compare it with an already known decent grinder and see the result i can understand from just a video but about originality looks like 100% OG.

Now you make a video showing me that this grinder can grind moonrocks like it does normal herb in the video, I'll buy the first one.

Pushing a new product to its limits is always good idea. We couldn't find moonrocks but we had some walnut left overs to try!

They can send me a grinder to try with my moonrocks lol. The moonrocks are worth way more than the grinder (no offense).

remains to see the price of the grinder to see if they are indeed worth more, if the grinder is worth more you send moonrocks if its worth less they send you a grinder :p. + my grinder doesnt grind walnut wood. if yours does please demonstrate.

Glad to see a grinder manufacturer here at FC, hopefully it won't be just for the duration of the IGG campaign and you'll remain with us for some updates/feedback/brainstorming about the new iterations of your QB-gon.

Talking about these, here's one (you have probably thought of already but if not I'll take credit for it :D):
How about being able to add an extra compartment at the bottom (under the pollen chamber) that would house a little brush for cleaning and a scoop to easily load vapes? A storage compartment could also be added for a couple of nugs (as long as it's airtight).

While I was on the GH train, that didn't stop me from thinking crowd-funding is a good concept to help small companies; it stopped me from believing all the marketing/impossible deadline claims made by companies to get their product founded though.
That said the QB-Gon seems to be a simple enough product to be delivered within reasonable time so I believe if the price is right (big IF as grinders these days seem to be way overpriced when they're basic so a nicely engineered one got me worried...) then I'll be getting one.

@QB-GON, gotta love the cubic'ish shape (a bit of a change in the grinder world) and I really hope you'll be able to offer a black(wood) version to match my other wood.

Regarding its use, are all the parts only attached to each other via magnets? Isn't there some risk for it to open when you grind in your hands (as in not resting on a table)?
Also, could you let us know about the dimensions please?

Thank you.

There isn't a grinder worth more than some moonrocks that's for sure. Personally I don't need them grounded up when I can throw a nug on top of some grounded herb in my HerbNail and enjoy life for a while. I was pointing out that if this can grind some moonrock into the grind it did with some herb, then I will be the first in line to buy this. If they can't get a hold of some moonrocks and they are need to know that bad, I offer my services :). As for the walnut, that doesn't persuade me by any means but good to know they are durable somewhat. You grind buds soak in hash oil then covered in kief and it doesn't clog and looks like how the walnut looked like, then color me impressed

Sounds like a great idea to come up with some test of this kind that could easily be reproduced so that grinders can be compared with rating s and all that...

"After going through the moonrock test the QB-Gon has been granted a score of 7.9 grindex." :D

Layer 3 has metallic "pins" extrusions that fit in Layer 4 and 2 to keep everything in place when grinding! We use neodymium magnets to ensure a strong and fast connection and QB-GON will not open unless the user pull the part, so far we had no accidents with QB-GON opening! QB-GON is 64mm x 64mm x 64mm!

The innovation of QB-GON is that the mechanism can be completely removed and interchanged with another for different materials and grind sizes!

We have 1 more QB-GON design prototype and 2 more in development using the same mechanism principles each one with different design features. We are currently developing new mechanisms one of them is a completely different concept!

So that means you cannot use it as a 3 piece and remove part 3, right? or could you remove some pins and switch them so that parts 2 and 4 are directly connected?
If not, is it possible to use it without the screen or does it create some unwanted gap?

Now on the mechanism, can you achieve different grind consistencies (maybe by removing some blades if possible) or would you need to use a completely different set for that?
You're really having me curious about the other mechanisms!

The sad part is the better the heat these vaporizers produce the less need for mutilating our beautiful herb. I love your thinking outside the box @QB-GON. Some vaporists "purist" can't fathom tearing apart their beautiful bud. I for one love the smell of fresh ground bud more than almost any other smell in this universe. That's when you get a real idea of what the flower is capable of. Smell wise anywho. Can't wait to see all that you guys have to offer.

Exactly! QB-GON can be used fully assembled. Or without layer 4 we doubt this is wise.

Yes you can use it without the screen but you still have to use all 4 layers.

You can change blade configuration to achieve coarser result. A completely different set / mechanism will give different results.
You know we can't give more info on the other mechanisms, but if IGG goes well, it will take less than a year before a new set!
