G Pen Elite Vaporizer

Is this any different than the Titan VS3?
Looks like an OK vape with a far less appealing form factor than Boundless IMO

I really like this vaporizer, the hot mouthpiece is the only thing I could complain but even that don't bother me personally. I get a good air flow.
I will let here the link to a review video I did, it is in portuguese but there is english CC, please let me know if the subtitle is wrong or don´t make sense at any part.

I also think that it is not true that the G Pro is equal any Titan 1, cause both have been falsified and I guess that maybe the legit titan 1 can be as good as the G Pro, but I have a legit G Pro and before I had one counterfeit and they are really not the same. My G Pro do a good job vaporizing, no plastic or rubber taste.

Beside the G print on the bottom of the original GPro, titan and gpro are the same shit!
The Elite is a lot better unit than the Gpro IMO, but rip-off are already on DHGate, and the unit as just came out... I Will try to make a small comparison review between the original and the rip-off when I got mine, but I think they will be pretty similar!

Really good to know about the copies, I already registered mine but I´ll send an e-mail to Grenco just to double check if I may have one fake unit.
I will love to see your comparison. And I really hope that the result is the both are the same, but I don´t believe it will be. I also wish it was that way with the fake pax, but I did not see any review or comparison showing this.
And about the g pro, I really think that is not true that any titan 1 of DHgate will be equal the legit G Pro, nor equal other Titan 1 legit or not. What I am trying to say, we needto establish the origin of the device before compare with other.
Like I said, I would believe if you say that the G Pro and the Titan 1 one from VaporSource have the same quality standards, but what I see at DHgate or Aliexpress are several manufacturers selling differents products with the same name. And I saw big differences between one legit and one fake g pro, estetics and functionals.

I personally like the Elite. Yes it's got the same form factor but the unit works well and hits great. The mouthpiece does come in a little hot but better than a V2 in my opinion.

Here you can see the chamber end of the mouthpiece. Not much separating you and the convection heat.

Yeah, I don't know why this thread is not more active seriously (and still in upcoming and unreleased) , I know that Grenco don't have a good reputation , but I use the Elite almost every day since two weeks with my friend, and this vape is truly in an other game than their other product IMO.
At 195° the taste is better than a lot of unit i've used and he reach that temp in less than 30sec! It's one of the smallest vape in the market, lcd screen, ceramic bowl, and it's one of the cheapest too.
On the down side, the mouth piece can be hot if you don't place you lips at the right place and you have to pull a bit hard, it's not a free flow kind of vape, but i've seen worst in higher price vape.
I do not believe that it is convection to be honest, but I know that Grenco is claiming that the Elite is a convection vape but I like to hear anyone with good knowledge on that topic....

@Mr. Me2 Overall similar in the aspect that I wish they were both cooler, but different because the GH gets overall hotter, and quicker, but I generally only hit the GH 1-5 times before I put it away for a while, with the Elite since it's a session vape you will have to hit it closer to a dozen times or more, so even though the GH can get hotter and faster, I seem to be as affected by the heat on the Elite since I have to take quite a few more draws.

The new mouthpiece for the Elite helps reduce the heat of the vapor itself, but it doesn't change the temp the entire mouthpiece gets to (but it does slow it down a bit though)

Thx, Buzz. Since the gh can be used as a one-and-done type Vape, I thought and hoped that it would (or can) cool between pulls. You just need to pace yourself and not use it like a session Vape.

So it sounds like the gh mouthpiece heats up faster than the elite but can cool down before follow up use. Do I have it right?

You are correct, when I am taking multiple rips in a row from the GH, I generally take a big rip, and then afterwards I grip the front end of the hopper in my hand which helps dissipate heat, if I give it a good 5-10 seconds it will be cool for the following rip. But if I just rip it, exhale, rip it again etc, without giving it any time in between it will get pretty hot.

With the Elite its sort of the same just a much slower and overall longer process since its a session unit, the mouthpiece slowly gets heat soaked after repeated draws and it gets warmer and warmer, but if I give it a momentary break in between draws, and especially if I grip the front with my hand I can dissipate some heat.

Here an album of a few images: http://imgur.com/a/53cEj

The original mouthpiece is on the left, and the new one is on the right. The most noticeable difference is that the holes are smaller.

I put a flashlight behind the old mouthpiece, and you can easily see the light shining through because it was essentially hollow.

When I put the flashlight behind the new mouthpiece, no light gets through. The new mouthpiece weighs about .25g heavier and has a baffle that makes the airflow wrap around in the mouthpiece to cool it a bit.

Thank BuzzDanklin, I was hoping a more modified version of the mouthpiece, something completely different from the original model to be honnest LOL !
It look cool, but it clogged so fast !

I receive my Elite from DHgates today and... It's clearly a ripoff !
It look good for a ripoff, but side by side with the original Grenco science, it look a bit cheaper!
I will do some testing tonight after a couple of burnoff sessions

How come this is still in the upcoming and unreleased section? While waiting for the Grasshopper to become available I just bought a used Pax 2 for 140$, but have been offered a new Elite for 109$. Are they so similar that there is no point in having both? I figured this might be nicer with the adjustable temp, faster heat up and good with differently sized loads.

This vape is definitely released, it will probably get moved soon I would imagine. A used Pax 2 for $140 is a screaming deal in my opinion, especially if you can manage to keep the warranty, good find. I would say it's probably not worth buying the Elite is you already have the Pax 2, unless you really want the faster heat-up and wider range of temps, because they really fill the same niche of unit which is the ultra portable conduction session vape. I think the Elite is going to be best for people who an ultra portable vape like the Pax 2 but don't want to spend quite that much money.

Hey Buzz! I appreciate the pax2 v elite comparison. Don't remember if you mentioned this earlier, but how do you compare the elite to the Boundless vapes (cf, and cfx). Size difference aside, which do you prefer. I'm mostly curious about flavor and maintenance comparison. Thx!

The size difference is quite large, the CFX is the size of a little over 3 G Pen Elites and the CF is the size of 2.5 Elites. But if you don't count the size, you will notice that the CFX has more battery life, and produces a bit denser and more consistent vapor. The Mouthpiece on the Elite is more free flowing which I like, but you can modify the CF/CFX screens to get it to have more airflow as well. Even though I enjoy the more free flowing draw from the Elite, it's mouthpiece gets warm after a while, and hot if you use it for a really long session, wheres the CF/CFX mouthpiece does not get hot. If I was reaching for the CFX or the Elite at home, I would grab the CFX, but if I was on the way out the door I would reach for the Elite for sure. As far as maintenance goes, they are both pretty easy to maintain, I find the CFX stock screen gets clogged more than the Elite screen, but if you mod the CFX with the Vapexhale ELB then they both need about the same maintenance. As far as flavor goes, they are both fairly close with the edge going to the CFX, they also both require burnoffs when new.

I'm not one for I told you so's but..

My condolences to those who paid grencos ridiculous markup. Not sure who OEM is yet, CBF to find out. Its on DHGate too now. To think they are able to (and willing on a sub $200 PRC unit) completely reverse engineer and manufacture the unit is silly.
I receive my "ripoff" ELITE from DHgate last week, and I test the unit side by side with my friend original unit (purchased directly from Grenco Science) !
No condolences here!!
The unit from DHGate look good to be honnest, minor aesthetics difference pretty good ripoff on that side, but it stop there!!!
The ripoff unit taste awful!!!
Classical taste of electronics found in chinese units.
The real ELITE taste good for a conduction unit, on the same league as the Pax2 IMO!
The ripoff is a 60$ garbage!
...
For a vape under 200$, the elite is the best unit i've test.
It's not a Crafty, it's not a FF, but this vape is 169$.

There's dozens of vapes that easily outclass this vaporizer in the sub $200 price range. That said one unit tasting of plastic doesn't mean its not OEM. Some of the new FF2's allegedly taste of plastic all OEM and yet others from the same source don't. This is fairly common in the industry unfortunately, luckily its often remedied by "burn ins". I wouldn't be surprised if they are the "b" grade elites from the exact same factory. Aesthetic seconds if you with.

If you guys want to believe its a mere coincidence that's your prerogative, Grenco are notorious for this practice.

Have you tried the Elite?
Dozen of vape under 200$ that outclass that vape ?!!! I'm interested in your suggestion.
Size, digital display, full temp range, fast heat up time, ceramic bowl... Some are best in one class but I think the elite is a good all around vape for the buck!
Im not a fan of Grenco, I hate every Gpen i've try in the past, but this one is better IMO
And like a said the DHGate version is a "Good" looking ripoff with minor aesthetics difference, but fairly major to prove that the DHgate version is a ripoff and not an OEM!
Not the same color lcd display, cheaper rubber on the body, noticable cheaper ceramic bowl, metallic body part on the fake one, plastic on the real...
They are clearly not built at the same factory.

Well preference is subjective, digital displays and temp control dont matter much to me. Most of my favorite vapes are manual, my primary concerns are vapor quality, speed, production and efficiency. Look into just about any butane vaporizer and you'll see this unit outclassed handily on these concerns.

If you're looking for a comparably priced unit with similar features that outclasses it on both my own interests and fancy doo-dads look into the boundless cf/cfx. Don't look on Dhgate for this one though, even though its made in China it actually seems to be an original design and despite its runaway success it hasn't been "cloned". Have a good one dude.
