hahaha i am a happy bear. Just picked up Da Buddha at a local headshop for $111. No tax (oregon). It was the floor model but looks immaculate and god damn... Effective. Came with pick and bag and everything. I've wanted one for the longest time, and so far it does seem to beat the shit out of your average box vape. This is shaping up to be the best 420 ever :)

I'm so fucking spoiled in oregon, free dabs and edibles and volcano bags or herbalizer tokes but all i wanted was my own *good* vaporizer. Especially since I live in a smoke free building and they are fairly strict on the subject.
Broke her in with some Hawaiian Dutch, and I've never experienced that flavor profile so fully. It's fucking nuts. Such a sweet terpy strain.

You don't just kinda control it...
7th Floor plug in vapes are the ultimate tools that teach a potential vaporist the physics and mechanics of vaporization, controlled completely by the user.
Turn heat up and down... this is only one way it teaches.
There are no "incremental heat settings". You do it by feel, and you will learn.
Also one learns rapidly about controlling their draw speed, to effect the temperature touching your herbal matter.
Owners of a 7th Floor vape can get the same density of hit at "noon on the dial".... OR at 3:00 on the dial through draw control.
A person that has successfully learned to vape using a DBV or SSV, in my books can be trusted to fly solo with a new untried Vaporizer, due to the know-how they gained from their Buddha (or Surfer).

I just got a pre-owned DBV, and i bought a Vapor Bros EZ change Whip for ease of use, plus i like the idea of ceramic filters compared to stainless steel mesh. The Whip attachment is 14mm FEMALE and the DBV is 18.8mm female, would putting an adapter between the two to connect it, change how the vape works? it'll still probably work if i raise the temperature right? ill be using this with a waterpipe. adding the adapter will set the herb farther away from the heating element..so im thinking that i should just raise the temperature..btw this is my first vaporizer and i'll be getting it in the mail on my birthday 4/26 :D (just missed 420 :( )

I had to bust this bad boy out after a long time on the shelf due to my regular device being out for repair for awhile. Man, does this baby still kick! I had to cut my whip but that's ok. Ended up liking it better. Coudln't find my old mouthpiece so I just showed the whip into a regular bong and hit it liek that with EXCELLENT results. Completely whited out my tube. I dont think I remember it being even this good haha.

If anyone is on the fence about Da Buddah don't be. It's a great, versatile device that can be easily tweaked or left as is and be made to produce excellent vapor.

Hello, Please take pity on a poor girl. I know all these questions have been asked before and you guys are great to be patient with those of us who have a hard time catching on. I hope you don't mind too much giving me some instructions or links on how to best use the DBV.

I got my DBV awhile ago but quit using it because I really felt like I wasn't getting the most out of my primo bud. Now I am coughing a lot and want to go back to strictly vaping.

I usually set it at 10 after the hour if looking at a clock. I did read one of my problems could have been that I wasn't holding it in long enough. Then after awhile I turn it up to about 15 after the hour. I want to get everything out of my bud so I don't care about the AVB. I vape it til it's pretty dark.

Am I supposed to draw slowly to get the most out of a hit? I know draw speed has a lot to do with results. My other question is can I put some wax on the top of the bud when vaping?

One last question is should I turn it off between useage? It seems like it takes forever to heat up and start producing vapor, so can I just leave it on? It doesn't seem right to leave it on all day.

Hi ill answer by saying i am new to vaping, however i have a flowermate that is temp controlled and my beloved DBV.
I found the setting on the DBV to be less critical than draw speed.

I also am pedantic about getting those meds out that require higher temps eg 215 deg c approx.

This covers most compounds i am interested in (around 190 deg c)this is tricky with the DBV bur once learnt you will not be disappointed.

I say tricky because you need to balance the combustion point by staying below it enough to avoid actually combusting and still extract all you can.

I run mine around twelve oclock but draw speed outweighs setting you do need to slow airflow down thats the trick, without combusting.

My ABV is dark chocolate brown and leaves no traces on white paper even if rubbed on the paper. But i did cop some combustion till i got it right p r rservere its worth it.
Quick edit i use the DBV and fm for everything tobacco included save my life. Fc rules vape on
Hope this helps somwhat
Cheers

I'm trying to draw really slowly. It doesn't seem to make any difference in the amount of vapor I'm getting. I have never combusted.

So are you supposed to draw as slow as at all possible? I could try to draw even slower.

Can someone answer whether it's necessary to shut it off all the time? I have been shutting it off, but it seems like it takes such a long time to heat it back up.

Do I have to read over a hundred pages to find out how well concentrates will work with a DBV?

I'm sorry for being frustrated. I really want to get used to vaping because I know it's better but it's really hard to get used to how long it takes to get any results.

I leave it on all day turn it off at night some say seventh floor have run one non stop for years.

Just adjust ur draw to nice even flow not to slow then you will combust
Just pull a nice bowl or two and you will get there took me a week. I wanted to send it back.

Now ill die defending mine :)

This morning I turned it down a little bit and tried to draw even slower. The weed turned really dark really fast. I didn't get much vapor either. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong. I think I might have been drawing too slowly because I was hardly getting any vapor. It did make me cough a lot more and that doesn't make any sense to me either.

I don't want it turning dark so fast and tasting nasty so quickly.
I stayed up til 3 am last night trying to read as much as I can in this 170 something pages of this section.

I want to start feeling satisfied and happy with my buddah! I'll keep reading as time allows. :(

Can some please answer if you can put a bit of wax on top of the ground bud?

For wax you may try sandwiching bud+wax between two screens.

I'm not sure about your temperature issues. You mention ten or fifteen past an hour, but not which hour, which is kinda key for figuring out location on a rotating face. But from what you report it sounds like you are turned up pretty high.

Personally i keep my knob at about 10:30, so like 30 degrees left from pointing straight up. I puff on the roasting tube until I see a bit of vapor, then i inhale. Not super slowly, but not normal breathing rate. Even turning up as high as noon tends to nuke my bud.

The exact dial-in may vary depending on bud density/hyrdation or room temp. But that variation should only require tiny tweaks.

Basically, the slower you draw, the more time air spends by the element. Which is why a super slow draw will nuke your bud

I would not get any vapor if I kept my knob like yours. Mine is like yours, but where you're slightly to the left, I am slightly to the right. I've been able to turn it down and still get vapor, but not nearly as much as the amount I get when I have it a little bit more to the right . By drawing slower, I am able to get some vapor with it turned down some.

I will try and see if I get any vapor if I have it straight up in the middle. I don't want my bud toasted so quickly. I must be drawing to slow now.

It's crazy how different they all are. I know I wouldn't get any vapor if mine was where yours is set.

Well I had to stay up past 3 am to read all the pages so that I felt like I wasn't missing anything.

It was mostly people saying they were thinking about getting a DBV and wanting everyone's opinion of them, then posting to say it arrived.

My main problem was loading the bowl too full, I think. I've been able to use less weed, turn the heat down a little, draw slower, and not get my bowl completely black right away so I guess I am doing everything correctly now.

Sounds like youre getting it. My preference is 1/3 of the stem with a fluffy grind and loosely packed. You want an even and uninhibited flow of the hot air. Stir between hits. And change your screen regularly. Even a partially clogged screen can really mess up your air flow. I like setting the dial at noon, straight up. Have fun and ask questions if need be. Lots of dbv knowledge here

I have just received the aroma top attachment for DBV. Its great, I melt beeswax with essential oils like patchouli and bergamot. My only concern is that the housing for the Vaporiser itself seems to get much hotter with the aroma top on it. Normally I can leave it on all day and it gets luke warm at the most but with the aroma top on it gets to the point that I'd call it hot. Not hot enough to burn but uncomfortable to hold your hand on it for more than 10 seconds or so. This is even when left on lowest setting on dial before it switches off. Does anyone else find this and is it something I should be concerned about? I worry that long term it may damage internal wiring or something to that effect.
