Better Call Saul

I dig it, I think it's very well written so even if there isn't much going on in an episode I think there is a lot packed into it.

Was listening to a podcast and they mentioned BCS.....they had some pretty interesting ideas about Chucks wife. Chiefly, her name is Rebecca, the episode is titled Rebecca, yet she's only there in the opening scene.....and their is apparently a film by Hitchcock called "Rebecca" no spoilers but check out what that movies about, and they seemed to think there will be some sort of parallel with Chuck

I like the sense of anticipation. We know Tuco won't be killed by Mike a few episode back, since he's in BB.

Similarly, I can't wait to see how Hector can't walk or talk.

Anyone catch last week when Kim said she's from a small town in the Midwest, Nebraska area? And where does Saul end up working after the events of BB....Cinnabon in Omaha.....searching for his past maybe?

Going hot and cold again - loved the opening scene (they're clearly a big thing), then not much happened till a big final thing. Well, stuff happened and there were some great scenes.. I just thought last week was better..

I was looking for the last show of the season to go out with a bang. It started off that way. Not exciting enough IMO. Sure, it layered more ground work to the foundation on how Jimmy became Better Call Saul.

That was a hard fall that Chuck took. It may turn out to be fatal. We will be wondering for a year. I wish these shows didn't have such long of a break.

Wow Chuck you truly are a nasty piece of work!
He's truly out to destroy his brother in a big way after the ending of last nights episode and season finale. Right from the offset not telling Jimmy about his mother calling out for him on her demise to hiding the tape recorder at the end. Fuck. Chuck!

Chuck may be the worst brother ever. Including Adam & Eve's lads.

But, oh boy!

I say Jimmy's defense will have to be that, as he stressed, Chuck came up with the plot. Jimmy added nothing, only confirmed. Still, what drives Chuck to be SUCH a dick of a brother? Did he resent the favored, much younger brother? What happened to the wife?

Season three will be even more fun. I like this show more than BB.

I think, and I could be wrong, but I think in some states that recording someone without their knowledge is a crime, something akin to wire tapping, and therefor the tape couldn't be heard as evidence as it would be excluded. However the New Mexico State Bar may have different ideas. Chuck is a piece of work and it may be this that gets Jimmy out of his current practice with Kim an on into the building we know from BB.

New Mexico only requires single party consent to recording a private conversation. Chuck would never do it if it were illegal.

We all know Chuck is right about Jimmy. The cleverness of the show is that we hate Chuck and love Jimmy.

The difference between the two in my eyes is that Jimmy truely loves and cares for Chuck. Chuck actually hates Jimmy with all his heart and being. This seems to be the main factor/relationship that they highlight and focus on. Not to mention it totally cheapened Chucks profession when Jimmy passed the bar. Chuck really seemed to totally turn against Jimmy as soon as Jimmy was on Chucks level professionally.

Did they ever say what happens to Chucks wife? I know @gaseous_clay previously asked this but I wasn't sure or not if they ever showed her more than that one time.
Not to mention... who the fuck is saul :hmm:

Bob odenkirk = saul goodman = jimmy mcgill... wtf :ninja:

I'm pretty sure I never made it through season one though

Yea, you sound kinda outta the loop there...
Yup. I think I watched a couple of season one episodes and never went back.
I'm looking forward to watching it all as a "prequel" to season two.
I did finish breaking bad but I binge-watched it :freak:
