HI all UK FCers, we are growing in numbers constantly as the UK finally wakes up to a better way of cannabis consumption...

The Americans are big on activism and staying up to date will all the latest news concerning our favourite herb, we need to be the same if we want to get anywhere with our government...

So here is our UK cannabis news thread, there is plenty of it about, specially lately, so please post any news you come across...

Great more of my hard earned taxes going to keep dumb asses in prison for smuggling shit weed into the country, yet the moron police can't even count hit & runs accidents or insurance fraud in my street.

Plus the Lib Dems can kiss my arse, this is one reason I used to vote Lib Dem and never will again, they promise to legalise dope, they got in power, and did nothing but put up the cost of education so I had to stop going!

Even Labour moved dope to Class C though that dick head Gordon Brown moved it back to Class B.

@kellya86 do we know if and when Ireland is legalising it?

Supposed to be this year but am unsure of exactly when, also I thought they were decriminalising it, not legalising it, not sure though...

I know how you feel about lib dem, and that's fair enough, but we have to vote for someone, there just doesn't seem to be anyone worthy of a vote, not that we even get what we vote for anyway...

But they are our only slight hope I think...

If you boycott every party that has lied to you then you may as well stay at home on vote day, they are all the same...bastards

Yeah I hear ya, just had a scum bag Tory lie to my face, so you do wonder why you bother voting, why does it always seem the lesser of two evils rather than good vs evil?

What about Corbyn? i dont know his stance on legalisation but i reckon hes probably up for it.

As far as i see it hes the only hope for this country not going down the shitter.

I will seriously contemplate leaving the uk if nothing changes for the better in the next election.

Well for me I swore to never vote Labour again 'EVER', until Tony Blair and Gordon Brown are brought to justice for the war & financial criminals that they are. :worms:

The world has gone mad the last 20 years, perhaps I should go live with my Dad in Thailand, they may be bent as a nine bob note, but at least you know where you stand and if you have cash in your pocket, you can make most things go away! :nod:

Alas they also hand out 30 year sentences for possession of a joint, so maybe not :bang:

Maybe I'll have to start my own party, if it's good enough for screaming lord sutch (RIP) :mental:

Not been to 420 on hyde park. Probably your usual bunch, im sure there will be some 'chavvy youths' you know what i mean... not sure if you count them as scumbags lol! But if their going for a smoke im sure itll be fairly civilised.

Seems to be lots of cannabis clubs popping up. There may be some in your area? Again im sure they attract a variety of characters!

We're probably about 10 years away from any sort of law change in the UK IMO....

The Tories will change nothing. Corbyn will never get in as PM. As much as we look at the current American changes with hope and expectation, I don't think it will have much bearing. Cannabis will just be another one of those things the crazy Americans can buy in the shops, like guns. We really need to look to Portugal's experiment and see how that goes. But tbh it doesn't matter what happens anywhere else- as I said the Tories will change fuck all, and we have AT LEAST 4 more years of that shite.

Best we can hope for at the moment is decriminalisation, which is pretty much unofficially happening already. The old bill can't be bothered with cannabis any more, and at least two police chiefs have openly said they will not be targeting personal growers. At least that's a step in the right direction.

You're never alone with FC! but yeah, i can't be arsed with clubs / raves anymore!

I don't really consider myself a stoner anymore, vaping a few times in the evening and at weekends, not exactly a hardcore party animal!

I'd just like a nice, civilized place I could visit to chose from a selection of quality products from a reputable source at a fair price... I'm getting to old for this roaming the streets trying to find a dealer, who will then rip me off with shit, underweight gear....

Nice article @kellya86 , highlights my exact point! - Though those idiot police need to stop burning the weed and get with the 21st century of less pollution and less carcinogens in our atmosphere!

I think the FC community likes to call us 'Vapour Connoisseurs' ;)

It's a bit like the term 'dope' implies everyone who consumes cannabis is dopey (stupid)

However, getting hammered does make you a bit more stupid, as does getting drunk or intoxicated on any chemical. Does not mean it's bad or those ingesting the substance are.

Plus being 'dopey' can also mean 'sleepy', and let's face it, a lot of us use cannabis to help us sleep, so it's a fair word to use in the right context.

As most of us here are neither lazy nor stupid, I just consider them misused and misunderstood terms... sticks and stones and all that!

This is good news for me, I just want to know that I'm not going to prison for growing 3 or 4 plants to support just myself..

I don't want to be part of a criminal world just to aquire the herb I require...

I don't care if they still nick dealers, most dealers iv ever known are not upstanding member of the community...

I wish they would just outright legalise personal, limited cultivation.

@kellya86 The missus this morning having watched the news article on Auntie, and me complaining that I can't grow to save my life so it doesn't help, wondered...

Is this an opportunity for a personal horticulturist to be paid like a normal gardener, but instead of mowing the lawn once a week, they tend my other grass?

A bit like deals on wheels, but instead, 'dial a grower' or 'green fingers R us'?

It's a good idea, just don't know if it would be cost effective, it's a lot of driving about for not a lot of work...
Not sure people would pay the price needed to make it worth while...
But if I had a huge area that people could rent bits of, I'd do the tending all in one place,
