The LINX HYPNOS Wax Vaporizer

The Hypnos ZERO ceramic plate atomizer. I have seen the future.
But...

How long does the atomizer last?
When are we getting an atomizer/cartridge that lasts at least a year?

I feel you need a screw on metal cover to protect the glass tip.

Love the rest.

In other news I've been playing some more with my unit. I decided to try adding a small bubbler:

That's this bubbler on the left:

Under five bucks shipped. You might even order two 'in case'? On the glass part of the Hypnos stem is a Dash 109 o-ring (5/16 ID x 3/32 cord) and the cutdown 5/16 vinyl cap I'm using as a cover. That's a stock cap on the far right.

If you've never used this sort of bubbler you're in for a treat. Notice the small glass stems in the center at the top and bottom? They make water traps that keeps the water from leaking out....... Yes, you can turn it upside down and stuff it in your shirt pocket and stay dry! Shake it, lay it down on it's side, no worries. Pretty cool. Anyway, it looks like this and works very well indeed:

That photo is of it laid back at about 45 degrees, you can see the water level in the bottom.

The same ring also mates with 14mm GonG fittings, although you have to keep track of gravity and stand the vape upright enough of the time to keep the concentrate from running out of the cup. To do this you move it up to the step in the SS piece just under the glass.

I've ordered two slightly different rings to see which of the 3 is going to be the best fit. Once I get that sorted out and get some in stock I'll let interested owners know. If you have a Hypnos and have or are getting the bubbler to go with it I'll mail you a couple of rings to play with if you PM me your name and address. I'll post to this thread when I'm ready to go. Prolly be a couple weeks?

Regards to all.

so I ordered two of these bubblers on February 1st, and after about a month waitng for them to arrive, contacted fast tech as to why my order hadn't shipped yet, and assumed it was CNY clogs.

Turns out they didn't notify me of it being out of stock (said in stock when ordered), until today. Had been discontinued from their manufacturer. GRRRRRR.

So does anyone know where I can get another very similar leak proof bubbler of the same or even slightly shorter size, that is not much wider than the Hypnos ?

I don't mind paying, I just don't know where to look for quality Pyrex and a very similar leak proof design ...

Mr. Ridgill,

I'm a new Linx customer, just awaiting delivery of the Hypnos. Very excited by the reviews of this one and looking forward to trying out the Zero atomizer.

I haven't been able to locate any battery design information on your site. Could you provide a bit of detail on your battery design and material sourcing? Having just come across some *scary* stories of exploding vape batteries (NOT Linx products), battery safety it's top of mind atm.

Considering Linx is a fairly new company, some information on your design and sourcing would be greatly appreciated. Certainly the rest of the design exudes obvious attention to detail and quality.

Hi EnemyLemon,
I will need to get back to you on with the battery information. I will let you know as soon as I find out.
Thanks for supporting Linx Vapor. Hopefully soon we can get you to change your picture from the Fire Fly to the Linx Hypnos Zero :)

Sure, FastTech shows nearly 20 versions of that (different colors, shapes) in stock for about the same price, check out the pull down 'models' on the upper right:
https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...-glass-e-hookah-dry-content-e-solid-vaporizer

You can also get them other places 'over there', I've bought them and slightly larger ones from DHGate but don't see singles right off and doubt you really need 50 but:
http://www.dhgate.com/product/glass-water-aqua-bubbler-gold-atomizer-e/371587168.html

I've tried out several small models, and those are the winners I think. One was slightly shorter but wider.

In other news, I'm still enjoying my 'evaluation' Hypnos. I like 'the look' of it (and I generally don't care much about aesthetics). I also got a Zero (same basic thing with a more conventional battery) and find that fixes my 'issue' with not being able to turn it on and off normally. I decided, in the end, that the original version definitely makes sense when you don't pocket it all the time. I'm just the wrong user (or more the Zero matches better) but others might find otherwise. One thing sure, the variable power is more useful than I first thought. A real useful feature here, no doubt about it. Not only to 'squeeze' one more hit out but also very handy with harder concentrates (like shatters). I've been using the first 3, second most perhaps, lately.

In still other news, I've decided on the best size rings to mate either the Hypnos or Zero (since they have the same atty) to small bubbler like the above or a Water Tool using 14mm GonG connectors. If you're an owner, live in the US, and would like to try it out, PM me and I'll send you a couple.

IMO folks should seriously consider this one, it has a not of extra features to offer.......and it's pretty.

Regards to all.

I have zero experience with concentrates, but will be visiting Colorado soon and kind of want to give them a try...

The multitude of vape pen options is a bit overwhelming though!

The Hypnos Zero looks pretty good to me; would you guys recommend it for a beginner?
Is it more of a personal vape, or can it handle a small group too?

Anyone know what the four temp settings equate to in temperature? I'd like to map that to known cannabinoid boiling points.

Finally set up the bubbler and stand to make it a mini e-Rig.

Original Rod-based atomizer gives bigger rips when run thru the bubbler, compared to the zero. And no leaks !

Linx now lists the input and output voltages on the site, but I don't know what those translate to, in actual plate/coil temps. I should get an IR thermometer, and make a video.

In the Zero atomizer (compatible with the OG Hypnos, the temps are said to be:

Blue: 320'F
Green: 375'F
Yellow: 430'F
Red: 650'F+

I'm not sure how much higher the coil-based atty takes those on the same battery.

I'd definitely recommend it for a beginner; it was my first pen. Easy to use/clean/operate.

It's more of a personal vape, since it's LAYG (Load As You Go).

I want to know when the Ares is shipping, pre-order rumours say mid-November but I still haven't gotten an email. The things have been in testers/reviewers hands for a while now...
