However @OF recommends PBW which is used for cleaning in brewerys, its better for the environment I'm pretty sure.

Guilty as charged. But, hey it ain't my idea.....in fact there's a thread on the topic. A super detergent, engineered to deal with the exact gunk we have using all manner of available water. And it only takes a dash. You can get it at Amazon or local home brewing places.

Fun to watch attacking neglected bong fouling, blazing included. Almost magic. You don't get that with ISO. Can't reclaim, of course.

You really should get some and try........ Consider the suggestion my Valentine's gift to you, belated a bit perhaps, but sincere. It should not be a secret.

@allareas You CAN quit tobacco. I tried many times and failed. So did many. All it takes is the right frame of mind. Please take less than an hour from your life and watch Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking. He makes it easy. You won't regret it.

Listen to this guy!

I had quit smoking for 3 weeks when I read Allen Carr's Easy Way. I really credit him for helping me quit for good. Had I not read that book there is a really really good chance I would have fallen back into smoking. One of his things is "There's no such thing as one ciggarette"... and it's so true. Noone ever smokes their first cig and thinks, WOW! this is fanTASTIC! I need to spend $1000s of dollars on this a year and smoke everyday! It's so gross you think you'll never get hooked and then all of a sudden you're having multiple cigs a day.

Mhm. So I can clean the heating oven compartment with ISO?

How's the draw resistance with the AA? I'm reading slow, long pulls are the best method. But, are you guys having trouble or irritated with the resistance?

I normally use my friends Pax 1, and whenever it's freshly cleaned I love the resistance. It's not too hard not too light. I'd say medium.

How does the two compare? I must say however I'm not a huge fan of the Pax 1's taste. Hopefully the AA is a step up.. Or staircase ahead lol.

I need to clean the oven in one of my Airs, but I sort of like it dirty as it kind of works as an indicator when it's warmed up and ready for a fresh stem. When it reaches temp it starts giving off a smell that lets me know it's time to insert and puff away.

Recently chatted with a guy that has a Pax1 and he was saying he has to use nearly twice as much herb to get baked as he does with smoking.... I hope he's doing something wrong.

But as for the Air's taste, depends on the bud I guess, but it's not getting tainted at all by the unit itself.

I noticed. I was just with him (the friend with the Pax 1) he just cleaned it. I took 4 pulls, on a full oven. The draw resistance I'd say was about 40% (upwards being more difficult to pull)

And that was with a cleaned device. Gunky and after x amount of sessions, it's about a 80-90% resistance.

A full oven for him lasted about 20 minutes, not grinded but hand broken. He got to [9].
I honestly want to pull the trigger on the AA, I'm just worried about the stem being dirty (which I'd take the time out to clean every session) and how stealthy it is, I'd want to sometimes be at a remote location (forest, hiking, etc) and wouldn't want to be worried about someone thinking otherwise (In a non-legal state).

I like the Pax's stealth, its hand held. I'd think if I opt into an AA I'm definitely going to need a shorter stem.

What are the advantages to glass stems?
Is there any pro/con to different sized stems? (lengthier being better less harsh on the throat, etc)

Stems seldom need cleaning unless you are ocd about these things.
Glass stems for the cleanest taste.
Loads of different slems avialable aslso wood the shorter the stem the hotter the vapor.
Pax is smaller, air is easily pockatble even with stem. Replaceable battery and less cleaning.

The glass stem gives me the best vapor flavor. It's the cleanest vapor too IMO. I do like wood but I use glass more often.

If you are on the go a lot, this vaporizer would work out well. The batteries last about 5 -10 min sessions.

I like an extended mouthpiece but I'm sensitive to too harsh of vapor, that might not be your case.

It's easily cleaned. I hear the Pax is a bitch to clean, I don't have one though.

AA has a lifetime warranty on the heater.

What's not to like about this unit.

I let my stems get filthy, more to reclaim ;) if hits start feeling clogged I may pop the screen and clean the bowl end of the tube up a little.

If I were anal about having a clean stem though, I would just buy more at $7 a pop or w/e.... they're easy enough to soak or boil though so it's not like it's a major chore to clean

Hi.

I've been lurking for a while. Great site..finally got me to actually stick to vaping.

My question here is while the air with my bong it does the job.. Will me buying a desktop model really be that big of a difference? And the difference I mean is will I get that much more high? Or is this just the high? I know there are tons of factor..like strain, amount all that good stuff. But for me.. I could smoke a joint, a blunt, a pipe and they just never gave me that high like clearing a fat bowl.

So I guess...is an arizer air with my bong like a joint high and purchasing a desktop model will that boost me to that next level?

Will be getting one anyways.. Hate having to wait that 2 minutes to heat up and that darn 10 minute time out.:cuss: Plus I would like to conserve even more :leaf:

Ugh, I hate that I love you guys so much. You sold me. $169, on PIU with the code, comes with a 4 piece grinder and whatnot.

Any other place to purchase for cheaper that includes free additional add-ons? Is it safe to purchase from an unauthorized dealer at eBay?

How's the warranty service at Arizer? I'm hearing their great. Doubt I'd ever need to service this device.

Loving this community so far by the way.

@$169 how can anyone pass up this workhorse?

Why would anyone purchase the Flowermate over an Arizer Solo/Air?

No, stay away. Counterfeits out there. See the counterfeits thread and elsewhere in this one. A couple of guys just lost the lottery........

Beats me, I assume it's excellent. But buy from PIU and you'll never have a chance to find out. In the unlikely event of trouble Randy at PIU is second to none, the best guy to have on your side. I once got a DOA Solo from him (it can happen) he had the replacement in my hands in just under 24 hours! Honestly, he got it in the mail in Nevada and delivered in California the next day. Beat that?

I don't know about the other guys, but I bought my Flowermates (note that's plural?) to get variable temperatures and much more compact/transportable package, especially with the Mini. By comparison Air is huge and doesn't store it's stem inside. I can palm the Mini and my hands aren't that big. Folded up the Mini is little bigger than a MFLB or Zippo lighter for that matter (fits easily in most any pocket), the larger one more like a deck of cards. It's a compromise, what values are most important to you? For many of us it varies from time to time?

honestly man, vaping will not get you them same high as smoking, because you are missing out on all the nasty ass stuff in smoke that makes you feel "high"

vape high is alot clearer and will get j=you just as blazed.
the answer is, any vape will get you high, depending on how much you want to use, usually desktop vapes have more power to take longer, thicker hits, and are sometimes more efficient like the enano, it really depends what you are looking for.

Thanks for the response. I have come to like the high .. Smoked a bowl one night and it wasn't enjoyable.

But maybe it's just me. I never like the high I got from a joint or a pipe. I'd rather not smoke if those were my only options.

So are you saying that there will be no difference in high if I get a desktop model, well.. When I get it.

See it cheaper here. But I keep reading that PIU will price match... So.

I'll go ahead and email Randy if they can price match. Hopefully they offer price matching.

I've always read great things about Randy and always promoted PIU to friends and other people. I love their reputation, I'll stick with them.

So, I'm on my way to purchasing the Arizer Air. My ONLY other cheaper alternative would of been the XMAX V2 Pro, which I've heard great things about, if anyone would like to chime in on it.

Alright. I spoke to the live chat customer service through text, not sure if Randy was the one behind. But, they offered to do $155 for the Arizer Air without the grinder. MHM. Decisions.. decisions.. decisions. I normally break the bud up with my hands.. what do you guys think?

@InspireAndAdmire Depends if you need a grinder? Both prices are from the same dealer correct? I'd jump at the 155$ offer.

Yeah, both prices are from Puffitup.com, they're reliable and the best customer service.. the vaporseller sounds sketchy because they aren't an authorized arizer seller.. I'll do it for $155 without the grinder.

Does it REALLY matter with the Arizer Air? Lol

LoL. I don't think it does. I have on occasion just stuffed a pinch in the stem and all was well. Enjoy the Air.

you will enjoy the air! its a pretty damn small, powerful, portable, I plan on mine being in rotation for years to come, along with my enano, I bought them to last!

The air is fantastic for at home or on the go!
pack a bowl and prepare for liftoff
