I'd say it's recent, not new though, the east (2013) was pretty well done.

Network (1976) Best satire on network news. It seems more salient today...

Since it's October and Halloween is getting close I recommend a trippy indy flick called Resolution.

All The Little Animals

Christian Bale and John Hurt

I stumbled upon this movie at random while looking for an Ian Mckellen movie which mistakenly listed him as John Hurts character. I guess mistakes can lead to new discoveries. I really loved the underlying message to this movie, it really spoke to me with how I feel about society and nature.

"Frequency" - with Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel it's a 2000 movie, I really liked this movie. It kinda dragged towards the end. It could have been about 10 min shorter.
A fantasy type movie about changing history, solving a serial murder case and changing the lives of a family.

Boondock Saints; the original film.....Willem DaFoe is awsome as a mincing FBI savant and a young Norman Reedus(Walking Dead) & Sean Patrick Flanery(Powder) are saints that have horns to hold their halos up. David Della Rocco, as a blundering mafioso who's heart really is made of gold, really steals the show....The film maybe a bit too bloody for some but, as the movie repeatedly says, "we need guys like this in every major city" Definately leans toward being a guy film but the ladies will enjoy the younger versions of DaFoe, Reedus & Flanery...Should be easly available though Netflix, Amazon, Shush or Putlocker

one of my favorite classics. Saw like 2 weeks ago so not to recent but always a movie worth mentioning

My all time favorite film

"What we have here is failure to comoonicate"

"Shakin it here boss"

"Sometimes nothing is a pretty cool hand"

If you guy's can stomach subs, this is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

Also, I haven't seen this TOO recently, but within the last year most definitely, Jackie Brown, an AWESOME movie. Personally, my favorite QT movie. Just saw the Hateful Eight the other day (also fantastic, but thats another story) but I was talking with my buddy about it and our mutual love of Jackie Brown. The story top notch, the soundtrack may be QT's best, I think that puts it up there for me. Anyways, if anyone hasn't seen it, I'd highly recommend it. A little less vulgar/crass too then a lot of QT movies; I personally never find him too offensive, but I think this movie is generally inoffensive and not too gory if that kind of stuff bugs you.

The Favour, the Promise, and the Very Big Watch, an old fave from the library's vhs collection. My link doesn't want to work but youtube has the full movie for free.
