strongest strain

For me, it's a toss up between:

White Widow
Godfather OG
Tahoe OG
Super Lemon Haze
Super Silver Haze
Kilimanjaro

Some of these can be really strong but in different ways....And when you mix them up in a salad, for me, the end result can be even stronger.

I think the strongest strains really depends on the one experiencing the particular strain.
Tahoe Og
Hindu Kush
Alien Fire Og
Manatuska Thunderfuck ( hope it's spelled right)

It really depends too - I change my mind about strongest strains and favorites.
Also it depends on the plant itself. I've had a super potent strain and then tried it again at a different time, different grower and wasn't happy with the potency.

This just happened with some Skywalker Og it was potent from one grower and not so much from another. A lot depends how your cannabis was handled too and how long it sat around. Tempreture, air and light can damage the quality of your medicine (cannabis).

All this info I learned from others on FC and just reading about cannabis our medicine.

I have read recently about strains containing 22% THC. Some of the weaker stuff you get at a dispensary might test out at 13%. I had some Vortex I grew tested at Harborside: 16.9%. All of that said, the percentage of THC is a rather crude measure. Most strains contain a diverse set of cannabinoids, terpinoids and flavonoids. The effect of all these things on brain and nervous system chemistry and so on is subtle. Combinations of some of these molecules yield results greater than the sum of the parts. From another point of view, it doesn't really matter how strong. If you want strong you can get ice water hash made from the same weed and it will be a higher percentage THC than the strongest bud.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
Thunderfuck :o seems to be the big name at the moment.

... there's always the legendary Purple Irkle.

Buy hey, as the guys have said it's mostly down to personal taste.

Me personally, I love a strong sativia that normally looks like lawn clippings to the untrained eye. My favourite is Dr Grenspun.

That's it bottom left in this photo.

*** best answer*** ^^^ terpenes are very important. and to get the best expression of each variety, I think organic grown is best. I feed my plants other plants and they have aromas other growers do not get.

While some strains tend to be stronger than others a majority of the time, it's all dependent upon a number of variables during the cultivation process. Strains that I see that are pretty potent a majority of the time are; The White, MK-Ultra, Ghost Train Haze, & Matanuska Thunder Fuck. However, these strains can easily be screwed up as well, so there's no strain anyone can list that will be definitively superior to any other. Here in Washington State, the most potent strain I've seen was the Ghost Train Haze which (from one specific garden) has been consistently over 30% THC and as high as 36.11%. Here's the link to that sample; http://analytical360.com/m/archived/343599
There is also a strain (Platinum Delight) that is higher than that currently on the test results with 36.36%; http://analytical360.com/m/flowers/378478

So, while we may not be able to tell you a strain that will always be superior to others, you can use testing websites and see what strains are consistently towards the top of the list in terms of potency. This will give you an idea of strains that (when done properly) can be extremely potent. While not the answer you're looking for, I hope this helps....analytical360.com is one site you can use for this purpose. They're the most well-known testing facility here in Washington State.

I find a good reference is Leafly online. Also if you are able to go to a dispensary or a cannabis store, buy just a couple of grams of something and see if you really like it. Taste is subjective too. I can't stand the taste of White Widow others don't mind the taste. I know that doesn't have anything to do with strain strengths.:2c:

The Rabbi that married me was a huge Black Sabbath fan. Why do I think he would have blessed the Kosher Kush personally! I never could get the nerve to ask if he liked pot, but you kind of know with some people.

Having never yet had the pleasure of shopping at a dispensary who knows what "exact" strains I've had? I tried "Gorilla Glue" recently, for instance, and it didn't make me any higher than normal. It was good, very good, but I was not drooling or anything. "White Widow" maybe sticks out as far as what I have been told I have had, but really a good old "OG Kush" is the absolute best quality I have been getting the last year or so.

My IBS is terrible and has been recommended twice in my state for medical marijuana, no go. Thankfully what I get is pretty good now, I vape completely instead of combusting (TWO months now), and I feel much better than I have in a year or two. I can only imagine what med or commercial grade will do for me one day. I am so happy the laws are changing, I can only imagine how hard it's been for those worse off than me.

There is no "strongest strain." I could take Tahoe OG or Blackberry Kush (two of my favorite strains), grow them poorly, and they wouldn't stand up against well grown KB.

I certainly have favorite strains, though. Jack Herer, K Train, Tahoe OG, South Asian landrace, blue dream, are all some of my favorites, but I certainly don't think they're inherently stronger than any other strain.

A lot has to do with who is doing the farming and if they know what they are doing at every stage of the growing cycle including the curing. I have never grown any cannabis myself. It's all the bits and pieces of info I get from friends on FC and the farmers I talk to at the med cannabis farmers market.

Knowing the names of what I'm getting I can compare the same strains and there is definitely differences. One Blackberry Kush can be wonderful and another maybe not so much. Most of the farmers love talking about their jobs and are very knowledgable.

I've been using certain farmers where I know they are doing things right. Even how they handle their crops with their hands. They don't want very many people touching their product during every step of the way. They use tweezers to put their product in the bags when selling to me.

They treat their product like gold.

I misspent a lot of my youth running hydro. I could get cleaner, tastier and stronger by always letting them go past their expected finish date and flushing for a minimum of 3 weeks. Cultivation and proper curing all play major parts. The Greenhouse, Amsterdam, cure for the best part of a year for stuff entered in their Cannabis Cup. A good strain can easily be ruined by a poor farmer.
Top of my list Kali Mist, Steamy Windows, Super Silver Haze, White Widow.
The Kali left to go 16 weeks and could have gone another couple. WW was 12.
Just my preference at the time.

Would be interesting to see a comparison on the same strain, grown hydro organic or soil.
We have done a controlled experiment comparing 4 different strains.

They were all clones from the same Mom.

4 were put into TGA SuperSoil, the other 4 in a very very nice Hydro setup.
Hydro won by a lot on yields.

Blind taste-Aromatic testing revealed Organic won hands down on "Bag Appeal ", Aroma and especially in flavor.

Only the grower knew what jar was what, and between 15-16 different people, Organic was easily detected by aroma alone.

What about the all the tales of the strongest weed growing up high in the mountains of Nepal. Bullshit?
I don't think it's Bullshit..
Here is why...

We also grew a few giant gals in the Mountains at 9,000 ft above sea level.

This harvest is what got me off of dabbing.

Here is where Terpenes play a huge role. They actually modulate Cannabinoids.
Due to the high altitude sun, these plants created more Terpenes, it is a part of the plant's chemistry to produce more Terpenes when the sun is blazing ..

It's easier to link it actually...

http://www.fundacion-canna.es/en/terpenes

It was Gorilla Glue #4....
I took one bong hit, and WHOA!!!!!!!!
I felt higher than a dab, sweating like crazy....
It was here ^^^^^

That got me interested into vaporization of these epic Sticky flowers.

That said, it's about the grower and the genetic predisposition that dictates the strength of the high.
