i'm in for cleaning too, after toying with the vaponic for the last couple of days. the screen in the inner tube got stuck. with using the tool i'm afraid to perforate it accidentaly. let me know, how you solved the problem. :)

I feel like the inner tube dirties up fast and cleaning without removing the screen is such a PITA.

@Vapodudule thanks for the cleaning suggestions.

Vaporize is health
did anyone tried to vape hash with the vaponic? can i use any steel mesh screen vor vaping hash or are there specific requirements?
You can use the screen you want, they recommended that screen for the size, because you can fill it with a considerable amount of hash.

you need a screen or not depending the kind of hash. For Bubble hash and liquid concentrates is need it, but medium quality kief you can vaporize it without screen.

Any suggestions/tips for cleaning?

I use ethanol with salt to clean my vaponic, but sometimes there are some spots fixed to the glass. You can clean it with a torch lighter

i got around the cleaning issue by falling on my butt while longboarding(it wasn't smart to forget about the vaponic in the backpocket) :) both tubes didn't survive the fall, the mouthpiece did. the nice thing about the vaponic is, that thanks to its modularity ordering spare parts doesn't cost a fortune. since i wasn't done fooling around with this rediscovered toy yet, replacements parts are ordered. :)

Lucky to be here
I love this vape, its amazing! A little tricky to master the heating part but after a few sessions I got the feel for it. The Vaponic is very very efficient! And as an ex-smoker I like the fact that you use a flame - it is a real analogue vape in a digital world! I find myself using this more often than my Volcano, Ascent and Pax. It is great around the house, may look a little freaky in public though! One tip worth sharing is not to grind your material, just pick it off the bud and stuff it in the glass bowl - the more chunky the better!

This is a genius invention!

I wanted to throw in my 2p worth, having owned one of these for about a year.

The vaponic is the first and only vape I've owned (but I've also tried the wooden Magic Flight one where you prod a AA battery in to activate it.)

I bought it because a severe bout of hypochondria and internet research convinced me I had lung cancer. But I also just wanted (and still do want) to end my exposure to smoke.

It definitely works. With some practice - I either got zero vapour or burnt everything for the first couple of weeks. Don't bother using a regular lighter, it will drive you insane. Get a blowtorch one instead. The instructions say to heat then inhale. I find it works a little better if you inhale and rotate the unit while heating. Then when you detect a flavour change you know to immediately stop heating.

It lends itself very well to herbal weed but I now exclusively use it for hash - either the solid type or the squidgy. It is best to roll your shit up in a pipe screen and stuff it in the end of the inner pipe, otherwise the unit will get filthy and the hash will fall all over the place.

Be careful with your vaponic. The borosilicate glass may have outstanding thermal properties but it's quite brittle. I have broken both the inner and outer pieces (on different occasions). Both times when cleaning them I think.

It gets dirty pretty quick, but I realised the stuff that accumulates on the inner tube isn't dirt - it's GOLD! Try removing the inner stem piece and carefully heating that while inhaling. Delicious, and it'll fuck you up.

I still smoke because it feels different and I'm addicted, but I'd like to get on my vaponic more.

My criticisms are that it's too breakable and hard to use for first time vapers.

My praises are that it's all glass, cheap, modular (for repairs), and effective.

@bibblybobbly before i got the vapman lighter my use of the vaponic was not very consistent and a creme brulé torch proved to be an overkill. but now, the vaponic has it's spot in the rotation. when i don't want to bother too much with grinding, i just grab the vaponic. also using the vapman helped with improving technique with the vaponic, i was pulling the air to slow.

thumbs up for your patience while learning to use the vaponic, as it seems to be a unit that can cause frustration early on. been there myself. :) you stuck with it as a first time vaper. credit where credit is due. :)

i believe it all comes down to the user..in my opinion this is the most underrated device on the market right now. the place where you apply the heating also counts. i usually point the torch more or less where the filter is, this way it doesnt heat the herb as much as when pointed to the part where the load is. with the right distance to the torch, breathing technique, rotation speed and timing this is absolutely the best portable one i have used (tops at least my firewood and mflb). and what comes to conserving i fill the vaponic with approximately half-trench (mflb) and it covers 1 long session or 2 normal ones. hits per session vary from 10-20+. and in time i have found out that the possibility to load without grinding is priceless. ease of maintenance (multi-tool) and the portability (marker) also attract at least yours truly. recommended to anyone willing to spend a little bit more time than 1 month with it and giving it the benefit of a doubt. oh, and the taste..beautiful.

ps. play with it..near combustion experiences widen your perspective ;)

hey brother,

would you pretty please post a picture of how much you fill the vaponic? You said it would conserve grass, so thats what I am looking for.

also do you or anyone have a method for making a spare screen?

the tiny little screen I mean, not the one that is provided seperately for hash and solid herb.

I tried making one but failed miserably, it was out of shape , and the traditional screens' holes are a bit more loose than the one vaponic provides , so my screen felt cheap.

I dont want to spend 2.5 for a screen too.I think it is the most overpriced spare part, the other spares are pretty reasonably priced

if you think, you need a new screen because the old one is all gunked up, just burn it off with your torch lighter. do it in short intervalls. just stop as soon as it gets red, wait until it cooled down and repeat when necessary. since you probably never going to loose it as it's always in its place, the 2,5EUR, though at the first glance may seem pricy, are a good investment for a spare screen for a just in case scenario. i burned my screen off a couple of times and it's still going strong. the spare one just sits waiting.
as for loading, you have to find out what works best for you. don't stuff it tight. it just should have enough fit to not fall out. should it roll out, just hold the vaponic a little angled. begin small and increment the load size until you find your own mesure. for me personally, a pinch of unground bud is enough, . if not, i simply repeat the process. :)

I quite like the Vaponic it's my to go vape without a watertool because of the cool and smooth vapor.
But the Vapman looks quite similiar I wonder if it is a upgrade or just a different experience, someone might have both?

They are quite differents in taste. Personally I find vaponic taste very good and superior to VM IMO

On the other hand VM is faster (less heating time) easier to use, bigger hitter and solid item (I dropped it many times without issues) and VM can do concentrate very very well

I still have my Vaponic but I don't remember last time I use it but i will use it again for sure (maybe with vaporizable that need less heat like chamomille or lavender)

i use both in rotation. vaponic mostly when i am too lazy to grind. i also find the flavor of the vaponic fuller. the vapman is easier to shield from the wind and to hide in your hand. with the cheap price of the vaponic i don't see any reason to have both, if you like to experience different vapor signatures. the VM has all the advantages @Andreaerdna mentioned.

Away with the fairies
I recently spent a week away, and travelled there by air. I have a couple of portables already (which I love), but my plan was to carry a clean/new portable with me on departure, then send the used vaporiser back via mail - to avoid having it on me going through security. This of course introduced the risk of my vaporiser getting confiscated in the mail, so I didn't want to spend too much on my new toy, just in case I was unfortunate enough for this to happen to me. So, I decided on the Vaponic. It is the least costly vaporiser in my arsenal to-date. It was also perfect in terms of stealth for travelling - I just put it in a pencil case along with other pens and highlighters.

I'm used to butane vaporisers - I already give a home to two Vapman and a Lily - so I thought I'd get the knack of this one pretty easy - and indeed I did. I took some squidgy Nepalese black with me (yum!), and so made sure to take a couple of the concentrates screens along too. My thoughts!?

It does what it says on the tin, and I really enjoyed using it. At first I was a little shy with the heat - but I soon got over that, turned up the flame, and started vaping away. I particularly like how you can see what's going on in there as you're heating things up. The taste is also very good, given that it's mostly made of glass. Of course this also means that the Vaponic is a little more delicate than other butane portables made of more robust materials - but there's always a trade off, right!?

This is not the perfect vaporiser if you're in a hurry - as you do need to let it cool before you can empty it or pack it away. BUT, it was perfect for what I needed it for. I really can't fault it. It's simple, effective and proved to be a great travel companion.

:2c: :) :peace:

glad you liked it. :) it has its niche and the taste is really great, as soon as one figures out, how to use it. i was underwhelmed first, but after the initial problems i now regularly throw it in the rotation, just in order to give my palate more variety.:) didn't use it with hash yet, though. got to give it a try.

editing my own words from the past: to have both of course. i wouldn't want to miss any of the two.

with the cheap price of the vaponic i don't see any reason to have both, if you like to experience different vapor signatures.

Glad You had a nice trip @Seren

Love Vaponics heat retention....so many hits off one heat from the torch.

Tis a beautiful convection Vaporizer. Hold it like a doob and let it take You away.

Such cool hits too considering how small it is....the airpath is quite ingenious.Im excited to see if the clicking Vapcap will be an improvement as it follows the vaponic a little closer than most.

Only niggle is The tiny screen becomes choked and requires some regular torching to keep optimum airflow.

it's up there at the top flavour wise and storing the complete kit inside a pen body is perfect.

future vape Manufacturers should check out the flavour profile of the vaponic.its different, unique & special.

.. didn't use it with hash yet, though. got to give it a try.

I've tried herbs in it since, which obviously require less heating time - but the Vaponic handles black really well. I know the instructions clearly state not to cover the holes when taking a draw, and I didn't - but I found that covering them during the initial heat-up got the vaponic to the right temperature far more quickly.

 I was also pleasantly surprised by the coolness of the hits - and you're right, it does feel very much like holding a joint :) The Vaponic is most definitely the great-granddaddy to the Vapcap

I agree. Not only do you hold it like a joint, and the multiple puffs per heat cycle add to this, I also find it hits kind of like a joint. Certainly closest of any of my vapes.

Ahhhh nice..I will look into that.

I tried using a dual torch for a change.this one.i had a single session with it late last night...

no combustion.got the heat just right.nice full extraction..two heats from the torch....4 or so draws from each heat.......finish.

one bowl worked nice.put me in a nice space for a while:)

turns out, the pen cap can be used as an emergency abv container for a couple of used loads.

Im seriously considering taking the vaponic on a weekend away into the mountains as a stealth one hitter.

I can't believe the heat retention of the Vaponic. It far surpasses any of the flame powered vapes I've tried.
Maybe 3 or 4 good hits from one heat always surprises me.

flavour is what You would expect from an all glass condensed airpath.yum all the way.The Vaponic is an excellent Vape for tasting strains.

Im really surprised it doesn t get the love it deserves here on FC
easy to Master, super efficient and combusts are non existent nowadays.

When I have a little time I often enjoy the Vaponic.

Looks interesting! Question, I have an 18-14mm male-male adaptor. Anyone know if the mouth end of this would fit inside the 18mm male end?
