What to do with trim

Herb gardener...
Hi fc. I know we are not aloud to discuss cutivation but I am cultivating, and I am 2 weeks from harvest. I am a new vaper, only 4 weeks in.
My question is, from a vapers point of view, what are my best options for the thc coated trim leaves. One thing iv realised about vaping is how economical it is. Very little waste if any, and i like this. So I would like some suggestions as to what you experienced vapists think Is best to do with it. Thanks.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I'm going to guess and say a BHO run will extract the most active components.

Very interested to see what others suggest.

Edit:

Or an ISO run.

(I actually have no idea)

Butane extraction? Is that really best? I thought I would get better extraction from grain alcohol. But I don't know that's why I ask. And is it really worth it. Will my produce have any potency compared to what I'm used to.

What about Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) There are several videos showing how to do it. If I had trim I think I would try that.

Edit
You really can't vape RSO you would eat it along with food. You can put it in any food and you can't taste it but have to make sure you eat something with fat like peanut butter. Only use a small amount of RSO, it's usually pretty potent.

You can vape trim? Bubble bags are another way of dealing with it,
Bingo! Bubble is THE thing to do with trim.

You guys all know I've got more chops with solvent based extraction than bubble, but bubble is the least work and you get great quality material out of trim, the quality doesn't seem to suffer IME whether you run bubble from trim or whole nugs.

I would not use solvents with trim, there's a lot of inactives in the leaves and stems that you don't want to extract into a hydrocarbon solvent. Bubble then rosin, or just bubble is my recommendation to you my friend :)

If you are looking for the easiest means of utilizing your trim.

I'd recommend getting started with a simple bubble bag dry ice extraction.

However, there are some steps to take to get you different grades of Hash.
Start with a 160 micron bag, and place your trim inside.

Sinch the bag closed and place the bag inside a cooler with dry ice inside, place more dry ice on top of the closed/sealed bag.

**We don't want the DI contacting the material just yet **

Let it sit overnight or for a few hours.
During this time, the Trichomes will become very brittle and easy to separate from the stalk.

You will need a large (preferably glass) table.

Remove your bag from the cooler and gently shake your bag over the table for about two minutes or less.

This will be your "A Grade" headstash.

Return the bag back into the cooler and repeat the process whilst increasing the shaking motion with each following shake you'll have your "B and C Grades"

Finally, add the DI directly into the bag with your trim and shake like crazy, this will be your "cooking grade" material.

You could go straight to the last step, and just shake VERY GENTLY for 30 seconds for your A grade.
Then do the same process to collect the remaining Trichomes. ..

Again, work in increasing increments of shaking.

A grade..

B grade...

Edit; C grade in smaller jar, and Cooking grade on the right in the larger jar.

Jars of Kief! That looks amazing.

smokum

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Solvent extraction for sugar leaves, dry ice for ALL the rest including stalks & either mixed in with weaker bud or when I want a hashy tasting vape kick..... I may even press and perform the 'C' word, as a good hash solid is my only 'C' weakness ... life is GOOD !

Herb gardener...
Thanks. I do not want to make edibles from my trim as the avb I accumulated fucks me up and I seem to build up more than I can eat. Iv decided on isohash. Have all trim and jars an 99.7 iso in freezer ready to go. I like the idea of micron bags and dry ice but them things are not readily available in uk. Iso 99 was hard enough to find.

Any iso tips welcome .do i need the double boiler. Can I just evaporate at room temp
