Yea, the first setting will smell the least, but today I used the pax on level 3 in a grocery store and no one said anything.

I would suggest getting some smell proof caps from @Ratchett they work perfect. Plus they are ultra stealth and all little bulk to the pax2, so if you wanted storage to be even less detectable, it can easily be placed in a bag or pouch.

Personally I think using it with the cap over the oven makes the draw resistance far too much to enjoy.
Can you even use the Pax with the cap over the oven? Lol. I remember I forgot to remove it once, I was vaked, and I was confused as to why it wasn't producing vapor hahaha. I later realized why.

I didn't think so, but I didn't want to discredit someone else's experience. ..lol

I'm not sure if he means he leaves it on the oven until it warms up, or if he uses it with the cap on the whole time. What did you mean @Justpassedu ?
Sorry about that , during heat up leaving it on will help with smell. You can try leaving it on during a session but yes it does hinder airflow greatly but it still works.

Day two:

- No smell on clothes (was outside) :)
- Need to order the caps and case
- Love the taste and just had a breath mint after
- Used it on the lowest temperature as well
- Cleaned out the Pax but still stinky (have dank herb)

Rose2Butler24,
I know it is unprofessional, irresponsible and completely unacceptable - but the past 2 days I have vaped at work, in my work within ~20 feet of other people and no one seemed to notice. Only on 1 or 2, hits held in until there is no vapor. I click it on in my pocket and count to x seconds, hit it and repocket it a few times and then turn it off.

yeah i agree , i'd be a bit scared to hit my vapes in a office. There is def some odor on any temp level. Now at a ball game or some place where there is a bit of fresh air that's a different story. Be careful

Justpassedu,
I love gadgets. So for my pax2 I went newvape crazy. I have the pusher, the screen, the oven lid and
the pax accessory cleaning rod.

I always hated the pax screens as they were jammed into the oven such that when I poked them
out from the mouthpiece end they could boing around the room. The newvape one just falls out in a predictable place. The adjustable pusher is very nice. I bought a pax 1 one from them and it
does not adjust. I think it heats up a bit slower because of the metal but it seems to retain
heat. I know this because when I turn it off I take many strong draws and I see that it takes
longer to cool down. The strong draws when off seem to make the pax a little cleaner. Less sticky
stuff to clean. The vented oven seems to work well. I bought because it is much easier to
clean. Just dump it in the iso for a few minutes then I clean it with a toothbrush. I dont worry
about vapor escaping as i have learned to put a finger over it when I am not drawing in. But
I dont think that matters much.

I bought the cleaning rod and it seems to help as I note that when I pass it through it the first time
it is pretty sticky. Then I clean it with iso till it is not sticky and put it through again. I do this
until it is not sticky. 3 or 4 times with 70% iso and seems to be 2 times with 91% iso. I then run
a pipe cleaner with a very little iso on it through it. This technique seems to work for the pax1 with
the added benefit is that I am less likely to create the temp light issue.

I also bought from 3D Studio the caps. They are really great. They protect it and deodor the world.
I load it up put the caps on and then I am off.

Pax 2 is so much better than the Pax 1 and I loved the pax 1.

After so many months of waiting the pax 2 is finally available in Europe.
It seems the units are legit but perhaps we can hear an official announcement soon.
I purchased one in black and it has been used heavily in the last few days. I love this thing. I guess most of you already know why so I won't go into details here. Great clouds (even for a mighty, Minivap user) but I have to start the session on the third temperature setting to get satisfying hits. Taste is ok, good taste on the first two temp settings. Not harsh or hot vapor at all. The MV is much more aggressive to the throat IMO (conduction vs. convection). Battery life is great. Crafty is collecting dust since the pax fits so much better in my pocket. I hope it's not a honey moon phase but I never had such a strong feeling towards any of my vapes just after 3-4 days.

My wife fucked finally combustion, too. She has her own pax in silver now. She love beautiful things... Nothing more to add...

I have really enjoyed my pax2 as well. I find I don't leave home without it anymore. Also, I found these tubes for easy storage and refill while on the go. http://www.amazon.com/Vacutainer-B-D-Red-Top-Tubes/dp/B0018EKKX4

The pax2 caps are also an everyday requirement. I even have to be stealthy at home, so considering a sploofy too....

I bought them both from "vaporizer-markt.de". Don't take the 24h express delivery too serious. it took 48h until I had the first one in my hands because everybody there is in vacation and they have a lot to do. Topaz was already sold out...
I bought a MFLB and a Volcano from them some years ago and they seem to be a good adress to purchase from anyways.

They give 3 years warranty on pax, after this you have to deal with Pax Labs which shouldn't be a problem at all, I guess.

Currently 10% discount with the code: "10Rabatt" so I got them for ~230€ each with free delivery.

Edit:
https://www.vaporizer-markt.de/tragbare-Vaporizer/pax-2

@natural farmer , be aware the pax 2 consumes much more material than the S&B units and "taste is ok" doesn't mean the pax could compete with any convection vape I own... but it looks very stealthy which is a big advantage here in restrictive country's and it's so easy to use and it makes me wanna touch it all the time. Like when I got the first iPhone in my hands. Weird. I didn't care about the Easter eggs at the beginning, now I find myself trying to unlock the Simon mode all the time.

Is there any possibility to buy the caps @Vapeconvert is speaking of? If I remember right Ratchett is selling those but I would prefer to buy these in EU. Thx

Anyone has take the pax to a plane? I don't want to use it, I just want to take it with me on my travels. I will clean it with ISO before travels also. I think no one is gonna think that's a vaporizer, it looks like an mp3 or battery bank....

I took my Pax2, lily, and Vapman on a plane...clean them and you will be golden!
Vaporizers aren't illegal. Clean it well, and you'll have no worries.
Exactly!

I just received my Pax2 a few days ago.
This thing is really beautiful :
_ very small.
_ perfect weight : light but not "cheap light".

Concerning the use, what's the best way to use it? I don't seem to exhale vapor.
I'm taking long draws, around 20 seconds each time.

I generally hate these types of questions because our needs can be very different.
BUT I will make an attempt.

Fine grind and set the heat level to 4.
The quality of the bud (trichrome content) is also important.

Sip not rip with the pax, pull with your throat for short bursts, 20 seconds seems a bit too long for the pax.
If you want those results try the mighty

But i find the pax2 to be quite adequate

Another tip, aside from what @WakeAndVape said, is to pop out the screen inside the oven and insert it at an angle where the vapor path is. I had the problem you're describing when I first got my Pax and it turned out the screen in the oven was completely flat and it lead me to waste a whole oven, as the vapor didn't have an escape route. I also like to start at the second temperature and move up from there, but @WakeAndVape gave you great suggestions as well.

So these are showing up in European online stores. Can someone from PaxLabs please confirm that we will be covered by the warranty when buying them here?

In specific either from vapefeind or the german site mentioned before.

Just want to make sure that if I do decide to get one at full price I will not get any nasty surprises in case things go wrong(although this thread gives me great confidence in it´s durability)...

how do you charge your pax2?
in the instructions they say 3h when it's dead, but i want to know if it does hurt the battery if i charge it in between uses or when it is half empty?

No. In fact, it's not a good idea to drain the battery completely so you should be charging it before it's dead. I usually charge mine as soon as the battery indicator drops to a single petal, but I've often charged it with two petals remaining.
