Puffco wax pen

Hi, definitely liking my puffco. Works great. Only question I have is about cleaning. Maybe I missed it, but it didn't seem to come with any cleaning information and I don't see any on the puffco site.

Ive been pretty succesful at keeping the ceramic bowl clean by heating the unit upside down. Unfortunately the coil and rod are still caked with ash and residue. What is the best way to fully clean the atomizer? Especially the rod? Has anyone tried an ultrasonic cleaner? Any info would be great, Id love to be able to clean the atomizers instead of replacing them when the coil still works. Thanks!

I've heard of putting the atomizer in the oven at a lower temp, and it cleans very well supposedly

This puffco is honestly one of the best concentrate vaporizers I have its just a simple very stealth vape and the temps are awesome I get clouds and great taste on the lowest setting and I love that its metal has a great feel and look to it I will for sure be buying more from this company

Just picked up my first Puffco Pro and I love it!

Got free shipping and the discount from the FC code :D

I like the lowest temp setting (green) so far.

My favorite part is dropping .25g in there and not having to refill for so long!

It is so sleek and sexy, feels sturdy and well made. I can't believe how big the chamber is for the size of the pen.

The ceramic rod instead of the wick is a must. Concentrate tastes amazing out of this pen.

I've been using it out of the box since Monday and have not yet charged it. Have probably taken 50+ hits out of it and idk if the battery was even fully charged

Best on the go concentrate pen by far, especially for the price!

Maybe this is what I need. I lost my finicky Persei/Herc at Lockn' last weekend and have been asking around here about a new pen that holds .5 and isn't as problematic as the Herc. It seems I always get the Herc gunked up when I am somewhere where I can't easily work on it. Oil constantly leaked into the bottom chamber at I inopportune times.

Anyway, I am going to research this one today!

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one. For $73 I figured it's worth a try!

This or the Dr dabbler...I just don't know!?
I have a DD and my friend got the Puffco last week. I found the Puffco worked better for me on all fronts. Not that the DD is bad by any means, the Puffco just worked better and is less finicky for me. USPS is bringing one to me today ;)

I enjoyed mine for a couple of days and then the battery unit failed. Any interaction with the button (hold, tap 5, tap 4) would just cause the light to blink. Completely nonfunctional.

Support responded relatively quickly. They requested a video to show the behavior then they sent a packing slip. I returned it, and then waited a couple weeks for a replacement.

The replacement failed in exactly the same way 2 days after getting it. I contacted support again and have not heard from them.

This unit is a total fail. I can't trust the company or their product at all. Even if they offered to send another replacement, it hardly seems worth my bother to go to the post office again and wait another 2-3 weeks for something that, to my experience, will likely just fail once more.

I'm moving on. I know these things happen, but I still can't help feeling robbed.

So, mine came today! I charged it and tried hits at each level. Amazing for sure. My only concern is for the coil. I had a Persei KISS and it burned out on me really fast. I guess I overloaded it or something. I hope that it doesn't happen to this cart. Anyone burn one out?

Not trolling, started an account to share more info. Not every unit is perfect experiences.

I can share a link of the original video of the defective battery that I made for Puffco, and make a new one to show the current behavior if you'd like to see it (ie: think I'm here lying or something).

If you decide to order online, use the Puffitup coupon in their thread and order from them. Got mine from there and Randy rocks for CS, quick shipping, and great prices.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of a discount code?

I'm based in UK so trying to get price as low as possible ideally- they charge $25 for shipping direct from puffco, any better options out there?

What is puffitupcode?

Sorry to hear about that bad battery unit, but I have ordered 3 of these (directly from Puffco), and they have all run perfectly (so far).

Also, I've had mine for a bit over 2 months and I am still on the same atomizer. I haven't had to use the oven-method to clean it - I've been able to just up the temp to blue or red and burn out the residue.

Not had any leakage problems, but if the unit is quite full, you really want to keep it upright when still hot. I have a few of those little rubber suction stands to set it in so it stays standing.

I have had it clog up somewhat on the draw, but it always clears when heated. I think a small amount of resin collects on the top of the atomizer (the surface that touches the upper mouth piece), and a quick swab with some alcohol cleans it right off. (I'm not positive, but I think there is an airpath around that rim).

But I have seldom had to actually "clean" the unit, even after daily use. The upper 2 pieces do collect a LOT of resin, but the airpath is so wide it can't clog. I dropped those pieces into some alcohol the other day (only time in 2 months), and based on the color of the alcohol, it had a lot resin. 2 minute clean and done.

Overall, I am thrilled with this pen!

Thanks for this great review! I have been using mine steadily since I got it. It works great and is very cool looking. So much sleeker than the Herc!

Yeah, I didn't even mention the aesthetics!

Everyone just loves the look and feel of it, and no one that's tried it - including hardcore longtime wax pen users - has not wanted one of their own. My first one was for a gift, but I couldn't give it up...LOL. So I had to buy a second, and then the 3rd one was for another friend.

It's simple, very effective (HUGE cloud maker), sturdy stainless steel, and perfectly discrete. It looks exactly like an e-cig - right down to the led light on the end. On my daughters campus, you could sit in the smoker-commons all day with one of these and you wouldn't even get a passing glance.

After support reviewed my second video showing the behavior of the replacement battery, they suggested that it's likely the charger that is defective, not the power units (since, what would be the chances of having 2 defective power units?).

I borrowed a similar charger from a friend and it immediately indicated red instead of green when plugged in, charged properly, and functioned great after. So it was definitely the charger itself that was the issue. It would always indicate green (full, no charge needed), and would not charge if left plugged in regardless.

They sent me another replacement battery anyway which was nice (I have to contact them to see if they want it back). Overall, the 3 interactions I've had with their support so far have been pretty smooth. They were a bit slow responding and replacing the original power unit, but apparently they were moving offices at the time or something.

I'm back to liking this unit. There's really nothing to dislike about it. The burner could be more flush with the bottom of the bowl, but that's about it.
