Davinci by Karma

Possibly, Da Vinci customer service was very good to me every time I had a problem. I hope that it all works out for you in the end. The authentic Davinci is a solid unit. Out of curiosity, where did you purchase it from? Just so others will not get blind sided with a clone purchase.

It was on ebay, a seller from China

The numbers MAY have rubbed off, but either way, Davinci will NOT honor a warranty on a unit that wasn't supplied by an authorized dealer...hhow much did you pay for it?

I paid around $100 or €90

Reading around the net afterwards, some might say I was silly not to see it coming. But I thought the price seemed right for something which has been out a while, a sentiment echoed by this user, a post which I had read before my purchase:

Fake? Not a chance. The price is too low (I can get 2 for $134 delivered, via dhgate). There's just no point. The incidence of fake vapes, as in counterfeit, is way overblown.

Also, the same week, I bought a Puffit 2 on ebay for similar money.
It is genuine, has a serial number, and that company are at present, honoring a warranty issue after I informed them I bought it on ebay.

I just bought my first DaVinci. It's the original version, because I wanted something indestructible. Even though I have a solo and a NO2, my solo's battery is on its last leg, and the NO2 is good around the house, but it's too big for public use.
I thought the company that made the original DaVinci was Davinci or Organicix, LLC. Where does Davinci by Karma come into play? Or am I proving my ignorance by being on the wrong board?

It's too late now, but I read nightmare stories about the batteries, and I'm hoping they fixed that issue. Of course I could be just SOL, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. If you folks have any tips or tricks on using my new vaporizer, I would really appreciate any help.

Karma is owned by organicix I believe unless something has changed. My battery lasted a longggg time, but I took care of it. Don't be rough with the straw, load full but not packed. Great vape choice.

They were in the e-cig business when the DaVinci came out, so I think 'by Karma' was for name recognition. They seem to have dropped it now, since DaVinci has more name power.

The biggest problem with the DV is the mouthpiece getting stuck on with vapor residue, and then you can't unscrew it. Many a mp has been ruined. Your best bet is to avoid screwing it on really tight, checking frequently that you can still unscrew it, and cleaning the mp connection frequently with a cotton swab and alcohol. The mouthpiece screen will get herb sucked up onto it. It's unavoidable. Just use the brush to clean the screen when you open it, and then occasionally take the mp screen out and clean it well. Those are the two areas that need the most attention. The rest of the vapor path and bowl don't need cleaning as often, but the more often you clean it all, the easier it'll be.
I read nightmare stories about the batteries
Really? I haven't heard that. Mine (and a friend's) lasted at least 2+ years before holding a charge became an issue.

I feel so much at more at ease to hear good experiences with the DV. If you search the internet, you seem to only read about the bad experiences. It's the 2-11 principle: If you have a good experience with a company you tell two of your friends; if you have a bad experience you tell eleven (Or something like that).

With my solo, I would never let it get totally discharged, and I would charge the battery after every session if I were able to; so, it's always ready. Is it the same with the DV?

The mouthpiece issue was fixed about a year ago. We make it out of one solid piece now instead of two like before.

The batteries are solid if you take care of them: don't overcharge it, only charge when close to dead, and don't store the unit 100% fully charged.

This is why I bought the DV over other vape's. The consumer does not have to speculate on how to use their vape efficiently. Having front row access to the company, through FC, takes the guess work out of using a specific vape. Bravo Davinci and FC.

Hello, I am a new user of the DaVinci, could someone give some guidance? My main question is when is the herb over? Meaning how many draws before you have to change the herb from the chamber?

Many thanks!!!

All that is subjective. My number one tip...if performance slows down check the screens! All of them.

As far as the herb thing...i usually vape at 385+ and vape until I can stand the taste, save the left overs and make butter. You can however vape until it doesn't produce anymore by raising the temp go her and higher until the load is spent.

Well, my DaVinci came Wed 8/12, unfortunately I was in the ER for dehydration and acute bronchitis on Sunday so haven't had a chance to use it yet. Of course I went to my normal doc today to follow up and I don't have bronchitis after all...its pneumonia and some inner ear fluid. At least I burned my DaVinci in and its ready to go.

Man, its killing me not being able to try this yet. Been sitting at my hose for a week now unused :(

Hopefully in about a week I can be recovered and cleared by my doc of this pneumonia. Only 2 more pills of the 10 pills of Levaquin left so I'm hoping for that week or so to be real.

On a side note and project in the meantime. I'd like to make up a couple custom stainless steal mouth stems for it and get them either silver or gold plated. Anyone know what the thread size is on the stem?

Yes, I'm that bored right now! :)

Well, finally got over it and was able to start vaping about 2 weeks or so ago. I really like this! :)

Someone I know gave me some primo wax concentrate too and tried that for the 1st time a couple days ago. Definitely different than herb.

@Davinci_vaporizer, what's the possibility of getting me the thread size of the mouth stem?

Really enjoying my DaVinci!!!

I like starting at 375; when there's no more taste, I take it to 405. The ABV of my Davinici is one of the most consistant dark brown colors, which is good, because I don't do much with the leftovers.

Gotta keep the threads clean and only tighten/loosen when hot.. Not much else you can do besides minimally handle it by the straw
