Discontinued Vapolution 2.0

Maybe its just the setup that my friend has, its just a straight glass tube with the little pinch for vaping a nug, and then a gunked up plastic tube which tastes like it has combusted. Maybe with much more extensive use and proper maintenance the Vap2 could win me over, but the one my friend has is pretty shit. I did have a look at the newer Vap3 which looks like a massive improvement over the Vap2 IMO because of the small glass test tube the stem is inserted to instead of a metal heater at the bottom.

And I'm sorry if I offended you with my opinion of the Vap2, like i said above I used my friends, and he really didn't take very good care of it, and the whip is not silicone, but instead a harder plastic tube with tons of nasty shit built up. I would also guess that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Vaping, and I've only ever owned a Solo, and now my EVO. both I would still argue are superior, but as you said we all have our preferences.
Not offended at all, just sharing my experience, and the vap2 really is a great vape to have, and when taken care of, tastes amazing. They offer different stems and whip setups as well. I've tried quite a few plug ins, and the vap2 is one of the best tasting. Solo is a great vape, but there are better options for me out there, but I still own one and use it occasionally. I've tried an Evo but it didn't really impress me enough when I could get a 7th floor vape and get to the same place just as fast. Evo is more expensive than it's worth imo.

The Vapo2 chamber is a glass vial, so I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say there is a metal heater on the bottom. Are you sure you were using a Vapolution?

I can tell you that I'll never sell my Vapo2 since it offers probably the purest taste of any of my collection due to the all glass design. It's not the biggest hitter on the block, but it is hard to beat for the price, simplicity and pure taste that it offers.

is there any good reason why anyone would use the Vapolution 2.0 over an EVO?

I have no desire to use a water tool so i for one have very Little or No use for an EVO, been using one Vapo 2 whip for a while and it still tastes great but i never took a load to combustion and i take care of it.

I think this is a killer vape, one of the best in my book, it's all in what you need out of a vape like you know you could send me an EVO and it would sit unused for the most part while my vapo 2 gets used weekly at least.

Neither the Solo(which I have) or the EVO are superior for me. You may argue the point but ... I guess if your happy with what you have then it's all good but if I only owned the two vapes that turned you into a "bit of a snob" I wouldn't be a happy vaporist kinda person since they don't meet my needs.

Again, the one I have used isn't in very good condition, and I guess I do see the glass vial, just not round bottom like i thought it would be, its not like the Vap3 in the demo. its probably the same, but i think that the Vap2 I'm looking at seems really dirty and wasn't easy to tell that it was glass.

I can see that, I'm just not a big fan of vaping whole nugs, the Solo is honestly a very similar design when it comes down to it, I just feel that the Solo offers the similar heating method in simpler to use, portable, package.

Well I would like to apologize for my rant earlier about this product, I didn't give it a fair chance given that I've never used a well kept Vap2. However i can't see myself owning either this, or the newer Vap3 when it comes out, because I feel that ground material is easier to get everything out and more evenly. And its just fine with me that my preference might not line up with everyone else all the time, because this is a brilliant and diverse group of friendly people.

I didn't like my vap2 at first and sold it to my friend after using it twice.

A week later me and some friends went to his place and he showed me the clouds he was producing with the All-in-wonder-bowl. I ended up buying it back and he ordered one of his own

I also didn't like using whole nugs at first, but after a while I see the benefits of keeping the nugs intact (i.e. reducing loss of trichomes, load bowls quicker). There's definitely a learning curve but it is one that I feel is undoubtedly worth it. Taste and efficiency are ranked high in my vaping requirements and the Vap2 exceeds these for sure.

PS: Wait till you try a vap2 bong hit

Whatever you like.
However my favorite vape is a vap 2
I keep mine clean
It's not a large belt buckle or jacked up 4x4!

Your statement above tells me you just haven't used a vapolution enough, With the Vapo 2 the buds always come out as uniformed in color as any vape I've used and the extraction of goodies is unbeatable. I know I've used 45-50 different vapes over the last few years and the Vapolution is still near the top of my top 10 list.

I'm one of those people who would rather Not grind my herb If i don't need to, so i find a vape like the vapolution 2(or the herbalaire) where you don't need to grind or even ever stir your herb is awfully sweet.

Do You wanna really taste your herbs in your solo? Roll a little bud into a ball and shove it in the stem, start that solo on level 5 and you may find those first handful of hits will blow your tastebuds away.

Hey Joe!

Reminds me of a Jimmy Hendricks song!

I just plug in my VAP2 and prepared my HEADY GLASS for the evening session.

$1,000,000 for your house.
$100,000 for you car.

$100 for a medication device is reasonable!

Hey Joe!
Thanks to you I had an interesting session with the VP2 hooked up to my Heady pipe.
Flavor Flavor Flavòr!

Namaste good people.I am new here and have been slowly perusing this thread and am grateful for the loads of good info here.I am looking at buying a vapo 2 and am wondering if anyone has pulled theirs apart.I am wondering if there is any possibility of the air pathway for vapor being tainted by the ceramic and nichrome wire surrounding the glass heating chamber or any other internal parts,is there a really good seal to stop any contamination into the top of the vape and into the vapor path.I am vaping for medical reasons and am after the purest vape in terms of cleanliness of vapor without contamination from internal parts and the vapo 2 seems like it fits the bill but just want to make sure it is the right decision before purchase.Cheers

I've never pulled mine apart but the way it's designed I can't see how it could pull any air through the body of the vape.

I'm not realy meaning the actual body but from within the insides of the body where the heating element is.Cheers

It's a 100% glass air path. You won't find another one like it, except the version 3 coming out later this year. The only other vapes I have found that have this level of air path purity are $400 and up (Da Verdamper and the VripTech).

What I meant to say is that The actual heating element along with the rest of the electronics are sealed in the body. The bowls slide loosely into a glass tube (that's shaped like a test tube) in the top of the vapo 2 and that glass completely separates the air/vapor path from the electronics since all the air for your hit comes in from the top where you insert the bowl so the air you breath in with your vapor never comes in contact with any of the electronics inside the body of the vaporizer.

Hope that makes more sense to you then my post last night which was made after an hour long midnight session and lacked in details for sure.

Yes, I've seen the insides of this model. Used it for years. You're drawing from a tube, where all the incoming air is restricted to the tube, which is heated from the outside. It's like sipping a drink that's heated in a glass measuring cup sitting on a stove burner. All the heat comes from outside the path of consumption.

Thanks heaps for reply guys. One other thing I have been thinking about is if anyone has ever smelt a plastic outgassing smell from the top of the Vapo 2 when it get warm ? If so this could possible pollute the air going in from the top of the tube.Shame it doesn't have a stainless steel body.Would be great if the Vapo 3 has a food grade stainless steel body. That would make it a fantastic vape.

Just because it's plastic doesn't mean it's bad. There are lots of different plastics available and they picked a good one for the job.

Thanks for the replies people's.I agree that not all plastics are bad but I think it's wise to be aware when it comes to plastics, especially when they may be exposed to heat and we are dealing with our lungs here. Some types of plastics are fine untill they are heated and then they can start outgassing which gets worse as the heat is increased.A lot of hard plastics are pvc which can have it's problems.I am a builder and most people I talk to think that their pvc pipe for their water supply is ok but it has only been ok in the last few years when organic stabilizers were used instead of inorganic stabilizers that cause hormonal distruption. The FDA approve so many things but years later with more and better testing suddenly what was ok yesterday is now an issue or worse yet a carcinogen. Not saying this vape is a problem but is anyone really sure what plastic is used without just assuming it's ok ? I am not trying to offend anyone that has replied but just am after honest facts.Although as far as taste goes I do think this is a fairly good sign that the vapor is clean.
Cheers

@Mandala1111 the plastic body of the Vapolution 2 hardly even gets warm, never hot enough to worry about it off gassing at all. Any and All plastic on it is a good distance from the heater, I take it that's why they kept it on the larger end of the size scale when they switched from the original to the vapo 2.

This is one of those vaporizers that was designed and is sold by someone who actually uses it too, so they are making it as Clean/healthy as they can.

I think you'll find it's an amazing value for the price if you pick one up.
