Yes, but they've been updating it for the last month or so : ( I find them in my local headships, and also on Amazon they have a whole bunch there...
I haven't seen them locally and I would love to see the full line. Hope their site goes live again soon!

PAX 2 - 8.5/10 (Pros: Extremely portable/discreet, great clouds, great flavours for the first 5-6 draws, amazing battery life, a tight bowl will last forever, and a great hand warmer! Cons: Draw resistance, produces strong odours, the hits sometimes feel like it doesn't go to your lungs)

Crafty - 9.5/10 (Pros: Amazing vapour/taste/clouds, desktop quality in a portable, every hit is consistent and amazing, you can get to a [10] if you take big hits. Cons: Battery life is short, one minute auto-shutoff can get annoying)
i find the draw resistance is quite perfect for connection to a bong, it burbles very nice...

it seems like the pax 2 is easier to attatch to a bong compaired to the crafty. another pro for: pax2 :p

I go where the thrills are
Got my Pax 2 today and I must say this is one sweet vape. I am very happy with my purchase. The Pax 2 fills a hole in my vape collection few other vapes could.

Having a lot of fun discovering everything about this little vape. So far I have party mode, stealth mode, and simon mode. Stealth mode is is my favorite and most useful so far.

Nice! Curious to hear your feedback after you play with it for a couple weeks. The more I use it, the more I dig it. It's not perfect, but it's a fun little stealth device, and as you say it fills a hole in the lineup rather nicely. And it is a killer form factor.

Showersmoker is 100% correct. These units do not require a replacement battery Nor should you ever have to worry about it. In the event the battery does fail or starts to have performance issues, the PAX team has got your back. The 10 year warranty has you covered and PAX has outstanding customer service and support.

Read pages 1-35 and I know I have 13 more to read but I wanted to jump in and ask this.

Pax 1's 10 year warranty explicitly did not cover the battery and I have not read anything different about the 2nd iteration. Can anyone correct me on this? The only loophole I knew about was having another issue with your Pax 1 unit in addition to a decreased battery capacity; then the unit would be replaced to fix the main issue but also the battery problem.

Does anybody know of a good odor-proof case for the Pax2? Sorry I know it's been posted here before but I can't find it. Thanks.

I am searching the thread for the same thing. Only found an ebay link on page 45 I think it was.

I also think the RYOT cases are stellar. I carry the PAX2 and a couple of doob tubes in the Ryot Smellsafe Hard Case. Looks like a sunglasses case and smell is definitely contained.

I've posted this before in the Pax 1 thread but this case is even better with the smaller pax 2 footprint:
http://www.amazon.com/RYOT-Smell-Shell-Krypto-Black/dp/B00AXU15QA/

I adore this case. I can carry pax, a shredding card, a bunch of herb, cleaning tools, and ISO and so it's wonderful to take on trips or excursions where I know I'll be using the pax heavily. No smell detectable at all by my toucan like nose when the pack is zipped up. Here are pics of it with the pax 1, my current setup has those two purple capped tubes replaced by a larger one containing ISO.

Obviously, it won't win a stealth award but it is quite portable. I loved how the mentos gum cap would fit perfectly on the original pax, that minimized odor considerably, and initial investigation seems to suggest that the flat mouthpiece is a huge scent magnet, so mitigating that would be a good first step...

Good catch. Guess I overlooked this.....

(The Limited Warranty does not apply to normal performance degradation of batteries or neglecting to adhere to cleaning instructions. Please contact the Pax Pros to learn more about our Battery Replacement Service.)

Still looks like they give us a PAX battery replacement team to reach out to.

BATTERY ISSUE:
Pax Case # 00208512
I have been in contact with Pax regarding a prior post a couple weeks back here about my Pax 2 dying at 2 battery bars. I did as they'd instructed, which is to say, conditioned the battery (which I was already doing), and then after afterwards leaving it on the charger continuously as I use it daily... then after several days took it off the charger and observed the battery bars as I used the device until it died.

This time, it died two days later while showing FOUR bars! I knew this would happen after the second day had begun and there were still 4 bars! It's totally misbehaving!:goon:

I believe I will be sending it back for a warranty servicing shortly. Thank god I still have the Pax 1 to use in the meanwhile. Ol' Blue has never let me down!

Anyone else observing battery bar weirdness?

It seems to me that the transition from 3 bars to one happens kind of fast. As if the 2 pedal represents a smaller amount of juice.

But I could be totally wrong about that. I'm not testing it, just checking the battery level randomly.

That may be for your device, but for mine, it used to die at just over 2 petals while I was conditioning it. After leaving it on for a few days and then running it out, it never indicated anything less than 4 petals. Then just like that, dead.

Can you explain how to condition a battery? My pax 2 is pretty new. To get it to a full charge took a long time. But the charge lasted through many sessions. When it got to 2 petals, I recharged. Should I let it run dry?

Funny, everyone is all up in arms about the smells of the Pax 1 and 2... no one has ever heard of a ziplock bag?

Has anyone cleaned and tried to fly with their Pax 2? Debating on bringing it tomorrow or not

I was wondering the same thing.

Hopefully someone here can chime in with an experience because I travel often and would love if I can take it with me.

Hey guys, I plan on buying a pax 2, and I have a dhgate d020-d bubbler. The only way that I found (from my searching) to connect the two, is to use newvape's 14/18mm male adapter. Is there another way? Also, has anyone used that adapter?

Li-ion cells do not need to be conditioned, it's the battery meter that needs calibrating. Conditioning was needed for older types of rechargeable cells. However, most battery operated devices with a meter or gauge need to learn where the limits of the battery are before they can come close to an accurate reading.

To calibrate your battery meter: Completely charge your device before use, then use it as you normally would until it's dead before completely charging again. Repeat 3-4 times. This information could be applied to just about any Li-ion powered device with a battery meter.

Visit http://www.batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries for more on how to get the most out of your Li-ion's.

Sure thing, Mr. Me.... Lithium Ion batteries when new should be cycled to depletion for a few times before it gets its "memory" set. If you "mal-condition" the battery by charging it before it depletes completely, the memory my "set" at that point giving you less longevity of charge. No big deal if it's fairly new; just let it run dry a few times on your next charge cycles (ie, don't place it in the charger during the depletion cycle).

I don't have any reason for doing so, but every so often I choose to let it run dry just to see how long its life currently is.
But I should say here that the Pax people have this "smart charge" technology which claims to not wring life out of the battery. If any of you have a laptop that is on life support with it being always plugged in, then you'll know what I'm talking about (my laptop battery, even though I conditioned it when new), eventually drops in life when it's constantly plugged in. Pax seems to have something that prevents that from happening.

Hope that helps!

EDIT: Because I'm a notorious double-poster I'd like to add here in answer to another post saying Li-Ion batteries do not need to be conditioned: May be so, but Pax insists on the conditioning. Maybe the battery they use isn't like the "new" kind you're referring to?

EDIT: APOLOGIES to the moderator... I just realized I double-posted and I've done it again and again... I can't figure out how NOT to...:bang: If someone can enlighten me I'd be grateful! I don't wanna get spanked again! At least not here. :brow:

Personally I have not, yet, but I have a colleague that does regularly. From what he's told me, what he does is clean the Pax thoroughly before going. He carries it in a Ryot pouch that is big enough to carry the Pax and a half-empty package of tobacco. This way it looks like as inconspicuous as possible.

Voila!

I can tell you that he also travels with herb, just enough to get by (those little round plastic travel things you can get at a drugstore are what he uses). And believe it or not, he just puts it in a CHECKED bag. He carries the pouch with the Pax and the tobacco.

Traveling with the Pax is one thing but traveling with herb takes balls of steel haha.

Glad to know he's had no problem with those RYOT bags tho. Will look to see if my local smoke shops have any.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Pax 2!

My order from VaporEarth shipped, I know there's a consensus that Ploom won't honor the warranty from them but V.E. said that if Ploom didn't, they would replace it themselves  The Pax 2 should more reliable anyway, knock on wood, and the coupon VPRT50 to get it for $230 was too good to resist!

My only worry now is that my Alpha and Air are going to get jealous... :D

Just spoke to Pax and they said that you should charge the battery to full and let it completely discharge three times to calibrate the battery meter properly (not to condition the battery). After that your battery is good to go and can be left on the charger or recharged after a partial charge. The Pax 2 battery does not suffer from memory issues.

So is this something even us older owners of pax2 should do? Or is it too late?

Almost there...
Almost done reading the whole Pax2 thread and I just received shipping notification for my Black Pax2!!!

I don't really care for the games or flashy lights, just hoping for a solid portable with decent battery life and good flavor
From what I have read so far, all things are pointing in the right direction!
