I purchased the odorproof pocket pouch from http://www.stealth-products.com. Works great. I can now leave the pax2 in the car with the windows up without any lingering smell.

No they don't. But i feel ya. I don't ever see it. It goes in another pocket in my bag. I figured the logo would rub off over time. Size is perfect for me holding a pax2, mflb brush, and small container for material. (Should be perfect with a jyarz once I get it)

FWIW, I've used concentrates in my Pax 1 for two years. Never gunked anything up. I had a temp light issue and got a new one back in August. If use sterile cotton balls with wax from a responsible source.
I'd avoid the highest hear setting, as some types of cotton carry 410F as a point of combustion, but it will not spontaneously ignite until high 400F's. I always vaped on medium on the Pax 1.
I tried it once with the Pax 2. The point is, it will work and it will get a little dirty faster. You don't need a screen with a sterile cotton ball. If you can get wax or oil, get a pen that's built for it. They work better, but the Pax can work in a pinch.

Try www.vatra.com. I know they have odor proof cases. Just not sure there is one specifically for pax 2. Call them. Their customer service is great and they can help with recommendations. I use the small Domino case. It holds everything I need, but it's not one of the odor proof cases.
So...I've been making friends with my pax 2. My sessions are short - usually around 5 pulls. I'm noticing the unit gets quite warm by the end (I use the 3rd petal temp setting). Not too hot to hold or to put my lips on, but still... I tend to hold the pax through the session rather than setting it down between pulls.
Is everybody experiencing the same thing?

I do feel the device getting quite warm on the higher levels but it's never too hot to hold so I don't really have an issue with it.
It is a metallic device with an oven, after all.

Ah thought so, thanks for the reassurance. I'm so used to putting concentrates in the solo and I wanted to make sure it was safe in the pax. If anything I'll just pancake it in between the load so it doesn't run all over the oven. Thanks!

I can confirm this vape does achieve dense tasty clouds. For me it was dry herbs/fine grind/packed down and FULL oven and inhale as slow as possible. I really like it now for how small it is and the draw is genius now that I got it! Nice job pax

Same here when I first got it. I regretted it for the same reasons, and I learned a lot of information here. Even turning it on! Ok, sorry because: slightly off topic, but:
Are those Vatra bags well made? I was considering one of them for my Pax2, but then I got concerned because a lot bags made by small companies have a lingering chemical odor from manufacturing that makes me ill if I even get a whiff of it.
Are those Vatra odor proof bags odor free themselves? High quality materials? No toxic manufacturing odor? Can someone who has one stick their nose in there and let me know? Thanks!

I have put a cigar humidor air tight case in my car just to hold it while I am in the office. Hoping that will kill the smell. I would still like a small case, that will hold it, and a refill if possible.
That won't be a problem if my Unicorn ever arrives. I ordered that with the steel case.

I also think the RYOT cases are stellar. I carry the PAX2 and a couple of doob tubes in the Ryot Smellsafe Hard Case. Looks like a sunglasses case and smell is definitely contained.

Sorry, but I can't answer your question. I don't have a great sense of smell. But I have several vatra cases and never noticed any odor. I think it's a fair question to ask their customer service. I've returned stuff to them too with no problem.
People on this site have said great things about RYOT bags. I've never seen one, but I would trust their rave reviews.

RYOT bags have a charcoal lining, so it has that "aroma" if you put your nose to it. Otherwise, no it doesn't. It's a nice smell actually. Don't know about Vatra, they are well made, but I prefer the styles of RYOT...
I've done that with keif with no issue, it works wonderfully. But, at least in my Pax 1, there's a MUCH better production in my experience, with cotton when using concentrates. Since that was my experience with my Pax 1, I don't really plan to use my P2 with oil mixed with herb. I've got a few pens for oil, anyways, so I tend to not use my Paxes.
If you do this, please make sure the cotton you get is organic sterile 100% cotton. Drugstore brands usually contain 20-30% latex, which is very very bad for your oven and I'm sure inhaling melted latex isn't a good idea either. There could also be processing chemicals present (bleaches) so that's why I stick with organic. My bag of 100 costs about $5 and they can be used for other things, too.

The draw resistance still annoys me at times, however when I get a good hit, I get a DAMN GOOD HIT! I have the Crafty and this is the only vaporizer I have to compare it to.
If I were to rate the two, it would be the following:
PAX 2 - 8.5/10 (Pros: Extremely portable/discreet, great clouds, great flavours for the first 5-6 draws, amazing battery life, a tight bowl will last forever, and a great hand warmer! Cons: Draw resistance, produces strong odours, the hits sometimes feel like it doesn't go to your lungs)
Crafty - 9.5/10 (Pros: Amazing vapour/taste/clouds, desktop quality in a portable, every hit is consistent and amazing, you can get to a [10] if you take big hits. Cons: Battery life is short, one minute auto-shutoff can get annoying)
