As many of you are aware I have been working in conjunction with the DHgate seller Stevenlmz79 to make many high priced and highly sought after designs an affordable reality for you guys. I have been working on this project with him since early November and have invested many hours into it. I spent a couple months contacting various sellers without any success. Since working with Steven we have released 2 designs for sale, have 1 on the way, and have produced many prototypes that I am working on refining before mass production.

Since successfully making a connection with Steven I have made this a public project. I thought it would be fun and also meaningful for you guys to have input on what is being put out. I started with the FC-187 matrix sidecar because the forum had been asking for this for quite a while. I provided prototype pictures and took input on what the changes the majority wanted made. I requested the changes and upon FC approval I went forward with Steven. I even helped set the $40 price. Now today many of you own this piece and made request for changes for a second version and also a left handed version. I listened to your request and am making them happen. Version 2 with improved matrix will be out soon and also 10 left handed ones made special.

I submitted many popular designs and the one he moved forward with next was the diffusion pump. After posting a prototype on the thread I once again listened to everyone. I was contacted via PM by @Monsoon who owns the real thing. He was nice enough to help oversee the pump was made correctly and will be providing a side by side review once he receives his FC-710 in the mail. Thanks a lot dude

The mini peyote pillar is being produced right now and will be for sale in a couple weeks. I did not really take any input on this one, sorry guys. I thought sovereignty pretty much got it right and chose to fast track it instead of making serious design changes. Only changes made are female joint and neck support.

Here a bunch or prototypes to be worked on and perhaps put into production.

Here is where things seem to be getting touchy... The large peyote pillar.... sigh....
People are very opinionated on this design and I am doing my best to work with the forum to hear your voices before this is mass produced. I do not want it to get messed up because one person protested harder than anyone else. That is not what this thread is about and that is not what this project is about. Therefore I ask that @EverythingsHazy does not post in this thread. I will no longer be posting in the Concept Glass thread. Just so everyone is clear I AM WORKING WITH STEVEN and if you would like input in production all you need to do is post in the thread. If your post is well received by FC then your idea may be instituted. Hopefully this screenshot will help clear things up.

I will be posting large peyote pillar prototype 2 once it is made.

IN THIS THREAD LIKES WILL BE VIEWED AS VOTES

I am interested in working with all of you. Everyone is free to contribute. If you do not own much glass or are not very experienced that is fine you might still have a great suggestion or perspective. If you have a lot of glass experience or a sick collection please speak up. I would really like to get some more knowledgeable people involved like @Deadshort480 and the king of glass @PhotoRider.

I would like to give BIG THANKS to @oli for his involvement in the project.

Following requests of different type of mouthpieces for the Bubbler Hookah-Style

(?) Could they be 2 different mouthpieces per purchase (one flaired and one closed for ex.) as mouthpieces can'tbe that expensive to make???

@oli I have already been considering 2 or 3 mouthpiece options to be available when purchasing the hookah style bubbler. Also a hose adapter piece.

You would have the selection of 1 of the 3 mouthpieces and additional mouthpiece could be included at extra cost.

Multiple mouthpiece are not out of the question for this design since it is detachable

I like 2,5,7, 8 the most. Would probably buy 7 myself

About the FC-242, I like how the uptake tubes now enter the funnel at an angle instead of straight on, I just had a possible thought about the placement of the uptake tubes:

(My Photoshop skills are weak, but my paint skills are... Adequate )
I'm not sure if the significant bend in the left tube would impair recycling function, but I just kinda like the uptake tubes meeting the sides of the return funnel not front/back.

Blankrider,
Thanks for all your effort on this.
Can someone please comment on the mini peyote pillar and if it meets my "wants"?
I want max taste, minimum diffusion, some moisture added to vapor.
I have no concept of how that piece stacks up vs my wants.
thank you

I respect your paint skills bro. I cant photoshop either. Here is some paint of my own. This is how I believe the FC-242 should look from above.

Steven did better this time. The tubes are at the right angle but then they connect weird. They need to connect at a tangent. This will ensure proper vortex.

The FC-242 is moving on nicely but I feel that perhaps the funnel should be a little more like this one ?

Alright! I'm excited for this new thread, and to move forward creating optimal designs in a constructive and functional way. Thanks @blankrider for doing what you do. All the new glass is looking great. Also, excellent choice on the thread name

Stoked about the torus, klein and mini especially at the moment. That one 4 second function video steven posted of a klein vortex drain has had me salivating. Have you talked with Steven at all about carb caps/OFZs for the mini? Not sure I'd get one without...

Regarding the mini pillar, I've still got my concerns about that little ring but I think I've more than adequately voiced them in the old thread, so I won't take up the space reiterating them here. It sounds like the first round of mini pillars is already in production anyway, so at this point I guess we'll just wait and see how they function.

I do want to ask, though, regarding the FC-186 stereo matrix: beyond aesthetics, is there an advantage to this design over a straight tube?

@blankrider,

Thanks for everything you are doing and trying to do for our little community on the web.

I love that little "shorty" 187 bubbler and will be adding that to my collection when it becomes available.

Concerning the Hookah-Desktop that you so expertly made photo renders for, when it comes to the mouth pieces, I prefer the rolled lip style rather than the flared style so my preference would be either number 6 or 7 in the photo above. But since I personally will be using this bubbler with a whip only, if your contact can produce these with hookah hose adapters, that would be killer!

If there is anything I can do to help assist you in bringing the hookah-desktop to fruition, please let me know.

Again, thanks for all that you are doing.

Therefore I ask that @EverythingsHazy does not post in this thread.
This is uncalled for. If you want to ignore posts from a certain member, use the ignore feature. It works very well.

"Also in future I will only hear from you." Lmao.
Please refrain from editorial posts that don't add value the thread.

I hope we can keep this thread on point and free from personal bickering. If we can't, then these types of threads will be shut down so as not to disrupt the harmony of the forum.

Edit* I misread part of your post.

Don't worry, no more arguing from me. I just wanna see cool pieces come out as much as the next guy.

Me too. Looks cute with it's big ole sidecar MP sticking off the side. Hopefully its the same diameter as the FC-187.

But what I really want to see is @oli 's UFO piece w/ removable MP

Especially with a big ole showerhead with some fat slits. Gridded holes would be even cooler but unnecessary. Or better yet, make a homage to the D-020 and have one with slanted slits,

I have asked for a larger vortex chamber for prototype 3 so hopefully it will be like in the picture on the right.

Good call on a new thread @blankrider. I'll be posting in this one from here on out.

Regarding the FC-187 V2, were any changes made to the mouthpiece? I was probably the "squeekiest gear" in this regard and want to get another one that is lefty friendly (but with a more user friendly mouthpiece).
Sadly I did not get the mouthpiece changes in before the second run was started so the only difference will be the improved matrix. He made 50 regular and 10 lefties. I will try and make sure he adjust the mouthpiece for future runs. The current one opens up to about 44mm. I told him that is should open to a maximum of 38mm which is the size of the original 187 mouthpiece.

Alright! I'm excited for this new thread, and to move forward creating optimal designs in a constructive and functional way. Thanks @blankrider for doing what you do. All the new glass is looking great. Also, excellent choice on the thread name

I have talked about carb caps for the mini. I am also working on honey buckets. I do not have a prototype for either one yet but hopefully soon. I know what the ofz style are hard to make so his workers might be struggling to get them right.

About the ring in the mini pillar. Either this aspect was overlooked or it does not have the issue on the same scale as the large one. There is a video for it and the water does not shoot up like that. It has already gone to production so hopefully it is not to problematic. Either way I will try to ensure this is changed for the next run of mini pillars

I am unclear as to what you are asking about the stereo matrix @Erwin

I would like to make this detachable mouthpiece bubbler happen in the near future. I was thinking a good name might be the FC-UFO. I would like to have 3 neck choices. I feel as though 2 got a decent amount of positive feedback in the old thread. And 5 did after it was suggested. I would like to have a vote between 5 and 7. Then maybe have a vote between any remaining designs to decide a third neck.

Can't wait to get it and I'm happy I was able to contribute to improve the function.

I don't think you posted this before, I'm pretty impressed they were able to pull it off so well. Hopefully they see the light of day, even if it's just a limited run. I'd probably be willing to go up to around $150 for one of these from China.
