Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Hi,

Everything you listed here points out our original V1 release. We have done further improvements to the V1 and the new V2 has already addressed most of these. If you send me a PM with your purchase details, I can get your unit upgraded to the V2 at no cost. Thank you.

Emily

Thanks. After more time with the Haze, it is great, but the quirks still linger as annoying.

You said "addressed most of my points".....Is there an ON/OFF mode for the button in the new V2.5? I ask because I find, because of the potential for the mouthpiece sticking inside the unit, i prefer to keep the switch open, mouthpiece sticking out, while not puffing... Also, the ability to turn off the unit and not waste material once the unit has reached temp would be great. I understand that the heating of the Haze is pretty long, and turning it off would restart that process, but the lack of waste and residual heat are larger positives for me.

The last review with the cover sticking to the bowls happened to me a few times as well. Spilling oil was the main culprit, so once the learning curve is solved, i think that will be less of an issue.

The V2.5 does not have the ability to turn the unit on/off from the button.

The only changes from previous versions was the introduction of the stealth black color and the temp level changes. I consider both big wins for Haze although I was perfectly happy with the other Haze versions I have had, including the OG model.

It sounds like you seek a pure convection type or "instant on" model like the Elevape Smart Vape, Firefly or even MiniVap. The Haze uses a combination of conduction and convection but the conduction is what will continue to cook your herbs and it sounds like that's not ideal for you.

For the record I have owned several vapes and I would not clasify the heatup time of the Haze as long at all. Sure it's not as fast as the ESV or FF but to clasify it as "pretty long" is an overstatement in my opinion.

I just ordered the new V2.5 at Cyber sale online. The OG version will make a great gift for a buddy of mine who has had his eyes on Haze for 3 months but never had the cash to get it. I really wanted the all Black version but looks like it is not available for a month or so and I ordered the Graphite Black. I cant wait to try the new temp settings.

Regarding the above conversation, I cant believe we are still circling around the sticky mtpc. I thought we had discussed this already :)

Well, it is confirmed tonight with an infrared thermometer, one of my bowls temp is 500, no matter on setting 4, or 1. That was strange. I wondered why I could not lower the temp once it arrived to vaping.......

:ninja: Sneak Peak at the *NEW* Stealth Black HAZE with the new temperature settings!!!:ninja:

Here is a preview of the latest and greatest from HAZE.

Here are some side by side pics with my graphite HAZE so you can see the color difference a bit better.

The new temperatures are absolute amazing folks.
The new haze now has 4 useable herb and 2 useable oil temperatures.

I cannot say enough great things about the new temps and color, thank you HAZE.

The black is simply beautiful and super stealthy.

I sure wish I had a heads up from someone as I have been in communication with a few people and received a replacement just a few days before the new version/setting dropped. Oh how I would have waited had I known the new version was going to drop. (sad face grown man here). That being said, I am in envy, BIG time on you having the new unit. It looks great with the wooden MP too.

On another note. My Haze put in some road miles around 1100 miles to be exact. It was well received by all of my family and I literally had to pry it from my cousins hands at one point. He and I tried a holiday experiment too, here is the situation. 1 Haze, 1 car, 2 guys, 8 loaded cans and 2 batteries.

Outcome of experiment: YES you can load up vapor inside of a car and after over two hours and 8 cans of joy you can see it roll out of the car when the doors are opened. Pure joy! Great times for sure and I even got it on video. We plan on 12 cans come Christmas and a 2 seater....oh yeah. Thanks again Haze and I hope that all of you here at FC had a great Thanksgiving with your family and friends and made it back home safe. Cheers!

Idk how reliable an IR gun is. Especially because it's impossible to take a temp with the lid closed in its proper place. Also their patented heat exchange system has a lot to do with it. Also I believe the temp when u draw is what you're looking for. Are u trying to say your haze is too hot?

Also, the ability to turn off the unit and not waste material once the unit has reached temp would be great.

Also if your trying to let ur haze sit with out being hot enough to vaporize just click the temp button to temp one when you want to take a quick break n not shut down. The unit won't keep heating once u drop to the low temp and you can save ur herb nd battery.

Hi everyone - like a few other people on the forum, I ordered a Haze right before this new version was announced. In fact, it was waiting for me when I got back from Thanksgiving break late last night so I haven't even had a chance to take it out of the box, and then today saw the news about v2.5. Can someone who has experience with both versions explain what the specific differences in temps are and how the changes affect the unit's performance? I am pretty new to vaporizing - I have an Arizer Solo and basically just use settings 4 thru 6 for dry herb - so I don't know too much about how small temp changes will alter the effects.

In the forum's opinion, is this something worth sending the unboxed Haze back for a replacement v2.5? It seems like those who have tried it are very pleased with the new settings, but does it really make that much of a difference? ManI was really looking forward to getting this thing going after work today.

(I emailed Haze directly too, btw, to ask about other changes, but I figured this would be the best place to get actual field reports for the two versions. Thanks!)

First off welcome to FC community and the Haze FAMILY. I have not tried the new temps either.

As far as temps go there are realistically two temps geared toward herb/concentrates (3,4). It's basically low and high IMO. Temp 3 is a light vapor and 4 is dense vapor. 3 turns abv golden brown vs dark brown almost black abv on 4. Also temp 4 is for concentrates. 1 and 2 are for e-liquids n other herbs I and most ppl have no interest in.

The V2.5 has the addition of the stealth black unit and temp changes. The new temps are applied to all colors. But I forget the avg temp numbers but all four a geared toward herbs (weed) and the two high settings are also for concentrates.

As far as the different effects from the different temps I'm sure are minute. IMO low temps are all about the flavor!!! On my other vapes, once I get all the low temp tasty ass vapor I crank that bitch up and get all the rest lol.

I'm no expert n I could be wrong but thats my opinion n I'm sticking to it haha hope I could help.

****Also if there are some future Haze buyers lurking here message me, I may have some incentive for you;)****

The details on the exact temps are out there already so I will skip that but basically the old version had me using mainly one temp for herb (#3) and possibly finish on #4 (last couple draws). I never used #1 and rarely started with #2. Basically you had one, maybe two usable herb temps for the original settings.

With the new unit I start on #1 and step my way up to#2 and then #3. The new #1 is just a bit higher than the old #2 so you can get consistent visible vapor production at lower temps (which I like). Bottom line is you get more usable herb temps with the new unit. For some that's important and for some it's not. Low temp. guys like me prefer this unit. If you are a high temp. guy you might be happy with using #3 and #4 with the version you have in your hand.

Also if you have concentrates the only setting you could use on the old version is #4. With this version you can use #3 or #4.

Hope this helps!

I have a quick question. The answer is probably buried in this thread somewhere but I don't have time to dig through for a while. I just ordered a Haze V 2 [cyber-Monday deal :) ] What temp settings does the version 2 have?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick replies and great info. I don't see myself getting much use out of the low e-liquid settings on v2. Since mine is still new and unopened I emailed Haze support to see about exchanging it for the newer model. I have read on here how great their customer service is, so hopefully that will be no problem.

Bummer they told me that version 2 had temps updated from the older ones.

I also just saw this: " The new V2 version of Haze comes with temperature settings of 365F, 380F, 395F and 420F." From http://www.vaporseller.com/vaporizer-information/haze-vaporizer-review/ , although I didn't buy it from them.

Either way I got a good deal on my 1st vape.

I have not even had my Haze a month and it is about to be buried by its own ABV. The Haze is one efficient work horse and cleans up really well for company too. I was pleasantly surprised that while away for the holidayzzz that everyone who tried my Haze would rather vaporize from the Haze then one of my family members plug in home units that was being used. I thought this was a pretty big deal, I mean a portable preferred over a home unit....how cool. I myself did not use the home unit I stuck with my Haze the whole time and guess what I said for the first time when offered (in a nice way) ........ fuck combustion! Then I gave a smile and a wink and handed them my Haze. Cheers all!

Damn missed out by not reading these updates sooner, but glad to see that the Haze is finally getting the temperature update, and even at the settings I suggested as well! Big thanks to ScottG and Vape Dr for testing them out for the masses! I'm sure they're perfect now (just in time for all those movie stars next year...)

Had I not just ordered an Air I may have jumped on the v2.5, though I agree that making the temp setting button also the power button and having the switch just swap bowls would be ideal ultimately. I'm sure Haze is fast at work on it though!

I'm taking the high road and waiting for the stealth to be back in stock then I'm jumping on it!! Plus I have some new toys to play with that should hold me over till then :brow:

Now about all of this Stealth chatter, I also will be waiting it out for the stealth. Sometimes waiting is the fun part .... errrrr, right? :freak: One thing has become apparent to me, Haze sure knows how to make an entrance again and again.

To all of you who have shared your ideas, thank you and to all of you that have not yet, don't be shy and please do.

I also wanted to offer up an idea to my fellow owners. I wanted to hear more about your experiences with the Haze. Like situational, interesting sessions or pictures/videos. Let's make this thread biblical in length while we are at it and gun for the most pages too  .......... O.k. maybe I am currently using the Haze and a bit medicated :science: .... maybe.

Hey gang

Sooo I ended up here thanks to one of the members of the anti combustion community xD who had referred me to this specific vape after having mentioned my experience with the DaVinci Ascent; that has been my first and only vape to this day.

After a number of 4 attempts I was about to sell my Ascent until I learned that the It was all in how I draw from my vape that can make all the difference in the vape production in conjunction with the temp. Lets face it, the higher the temp and the slower the draw the more vape you can get from the ascent (unless im still doing something wrong)....

I am leaning towards concealable vapes like the ascent .

Anywayyyyyy

I was told it never hurts to have a back up vape and so here I am seeking out a new one.

This vape looks fantastic, it doesn't look so hard to pack (unlike the ascents awkward angling) and it has a glass pathway (which im a sucker for glass) and its just had some fantastic vibes lol!

However, I would love some insight into the concept of the convection and conduction screens and how they actually function and affect the outcome of the session. I seem to not fully grasp this beautiful concept and how it was implemented into this product. Do forgive my lack of comprehension on the matter xD...

I know that from what iv read and experienced the Ascent is also somewhat the same from what has been claimed in my readings. It just seems that it leans towards one method more than the other, but both methods of vaporization are present once you begin the use.

I am still very new to vaporizing as a whole and I am very athletic so I like to keep my lungs in one piece, with that said I am very open to many and all suggestions but I think I am going to fork out the money for this unit.

Also one last question

In the ascent I can manage to do half packs with the glass oil jars as spacers when im on my own, and do a full pack when I have a partner in crime lol. With that said, is this possible with the Haze? I know that with the dual bowl it practically make it the biggest bowl out on the market for portable vapes right?

Thanks

@Arian
The answers to all your questions are in the many many reviews on this thread use the search bar a search in this thread specifically. I will say this tho, it is NOT an all glass path way. It's basically SS to the stem then you have your choice of glass or SS for your stem, or my personal favorite a custom wood stem from @Ed's TnT
