Hi All-
Just wanted to introduce myself. Name is Christian from the San Francisco Bay Area. Have toyed with giving up combustion on and off for years (and amassed a nice little collection of toys). Analog Volcano was (is) great, but definitely an at home piece. I have an iolite I could never get to work to my satisfaction. Most recent herb vape is the Arizer Solo which I quite like, although it's still just not particularly portable (compared to a joint I mean). As a former smoker and eCig user I was led to FC by the discussion of that mode of delivery.

Lot's of great stuff to learn here, excited to have arrived.

Best,
Christian

If portability is what you are after, than I would suggest the Magic Flight Launchbox. It's extremely portable and significantly more discreet than a joint would be.

I'll have to check that out. In CA discretion isn't so much a concern as portability/ease. The Solo was as much for at home use, too frequently packing a bowl was easier than getting out the Volcano.

Hey guys and gal! first off, i just wanna say that this forum is amazing and i proud to be a part of it. I am very new to vaping, but have already decided im done with combustion. Friend of mine got a pax a couple weeks ago and I fell in love immediately. I only see him on weekends and next time I saw him he was ready to return the damn thing but I had already been on here and done enough research that I showed him how to properly grind,pack,ect... He has now decided to not return it. Lol. Exactly two days ago, I had to go get my very own pax of course! And like I said, im never going back. I have also made a nifty little stir/tamping tool I need to post some pics of when I figure out how to. And some links to what looks like to me some real good alternatives to the mf finish grinder. Also not sure where a good place would be to post those things

There's a pax thread, so there would be a good choice

Alright, how's everybody? Good! Good! Good! My name is Matt Foley, and I am a Motivational Speaker! Now, let's get started by me giving you a little bit of a scenario of what my life is all about! First off, I am 35 years old.. I am divorced.. and I live in a van down by the river! Now, you kids are probably saying to yourself, "Now, I'm gonna go out, and I'm gonna get the world by the tail, and wrap it around and put it in my pocket!!" Well, I'm here to tell you that you're probably gonna find out, as you go out there, that you're not gonna amount to Jack Squat!!" You're gonna end up eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river!

I kid, I kid. My name's Jeremy, KY native. Probably started tokin' too early (around 14 I think), but had a passion for it ever since. The older I got the more I realized how clear it makes my head, and how much it helps my anxiety and depression when my chemically unbalanced brain starts to act up. Now I toke/vape mostly for the medical relief I get from it, but I still find it entertaining. One thing I think will never change is how much I love the smell of cannabis, fresh, burned, aged, whatever, one of the best aromas out there - which makes me curious if I didn't like it would I still love the smell so much, and I think I still would, but who knows. The only thing I'm certain of is my uncertainty of everything, and that's my story & I'm stickin' to it... or not, who knows, 'cause I sure as hell don't. I hope I've passed this introductory exam. :D

Born in Richmond, lived in Lexington for a bit, now back in Richmond. You wouldn't happen to be from around those parts, would yah? I would say the odds, consider KY only has like 4 mil people, on a random specialized forum, back to back, are pretty slim. Watch us turn out to be related, lol.

I'm 32, married to an amazing woman, and I have two kids. I forget how old I was when I started vaping/using cannabis, but I believe I was 28.

I enjoy playing video games with the little free time I have, other than that I mostly just spend time with the family and work. I'm pretty boring.

Vaporizers I've owned/have; MFLB, Solo, and the Lotus.

You mean to tell me that there are people in Kentucky that aren't related?:hmm:

Welcome to all the new faces around here. Let's keep the chit chat however in another thread.

Not too far away, I am from elizabethtown and currently live here as well. Lived in Louisville for 6 years and still miss it everyday. Lol. Quick question for anyone listening, is there a ceiling on how high you can get vaping? I feel like I just keep getting more stoned.

Well, of course I gotta reply to this, then I'll cease the chatter. But I totally saw the incest joke coming, just was wonderin' who was brave enough to make it. We also wear no shoes, have no teeth, and hydrate with bourbon, you arsehole. ;)

Love the gif, self-ownage is always the funniest. Our basketball team is gonna win the NCAA tourney this year.

And E-Town for the win! Hear you guys have a decent paintball field there, I've always wanted to try it out. And it does seem like the ceiling is higher when vaping, but there's only one way to find out - vape until you can't vape anymore. PM me the results. :)

Okay, I'm finished. Now back to your regularly scheduled program. :D

Hello! I am new here at the forums. I have a new Da Vinci that I am currently burning off, and I am getting set to start my Vaping. I'm looking forward to a cleaner, heathier way of life, and buying even better vapes in the future, like the Volcano or the Sublimator.

So yeah that's all I really have to say about me, how are you?

Hi, new here. Chillin with my Pax and seeing as I am here and found this place because I was looking for good uses of ABV, and instead spent a good 5 minutes sifting through your ABV subforum wondering why the fuck they were all closed and off topic, I'd say it's doing its job.

This place seems nice initial confusion aside, so I thought I'd register and poke about for a bit. Started Vaping this summer and haven't looked back (aside from the occasional bong rips ;].)

Hi.
So I've been reading here for several months, stumbled onto the site when looking at buying my first vape, which I subsequently did- the flowermate. I wasn't sure i would get used to a vape having never used one before, but I haven't touched a joint in nearly a month, which I'm really happy with, both from a health and financial point of view.
I'm in my 40s and have been enjoying smoking for about 22 years. If I was lucky enjoy to live in the US I would probably be a medicinal user, given some nasty pain I have, but over in the UK, we a not as yet so liberated. Which makes it even more great to own a device which is discreet and stealthy.
Thanks for all the posts, which I have read a lot of and ill be doubtless asking some questions!

It's not a rule, as a review of the rules page would show (we don't hide 'em), but when you join a forum and just make negative posts about a single company or product, you start to qualify for breaking the product bashing rule. I see you have no use for the Puffit or Arizer Solo either, so it seems you're not just here to complain about a single model. Do try to make some positive posts though. It'll make others more inclined to converse with you.

Hey everyone ^_^ I'm a longtime toker (sheesh....7 years now?) but only dabbled in vaping for the longest time. I've had crappy box vapes, and owned a MFLB that I didn't maintain properly that kind of fell by the wayside.

Recently shelled out cash for a FireFly, fucking love it so have gotten back into vaping. I'm now like 2 weeks strong no combustion :D and shelled out some more cash for an Underdog and a little bubbler, since the only thing I really missed with my FireFly was the ability to take giant water filtered rips.

I work in technical sales, and currently am trying to "find" my path in life ^_^ you guy's seem like a great community, happy to be a part of it!

But I like it!
Hi all. Greetings from the south end of BC's Okanagan Valley, about an hour north of the Washington State border. I was just poking through new threads and tripped over this one. I've been a med patient for just over a year now, starting at 30 g/month, and am now at 90g/month. I used for maybe a year before that after speaking with my pain mgmt doc, but was just getting the occasional bag of 'whatever it was' from the neighbors son. I was a user in high school, but haven't touched much at all in the interim 30ish years as the military tends to frown on it, and I had a great career in the Navy...

So after living with a bunch of injuries something snapped in my shoulder - turns out the torn rotator cuff let go completely. Doc doesn't want to pin it, so we tried a bunch of alternate therapies. Meanwhile the osteoarthritis from a bunch of the other injuries managed to get a good overall grasp of most every joint that moves in my body. I gave up and saw the doc when I started using a cane.

So after a 3 year stint of testing and overdosing on a variety of arthritis meds and painkillers I found a method that sort-of worked for me, until I wound up hospitalized for a few weeks with what is still a suspect allergic reaction to the meds. Then we spent a lot of time trying to find the balance between too many meds and not enough. There is no balance - I was either in pain and lucid but uncaring, narced out of my head and semi-lucid and uncaring, or watching funny things do weird things off in the distance in a Thorazine-like trance. Thats when I decided to try this route - I knew MJ was safe, and I read as much as I could (while remaining semi-lucid) and then had another long talk with the doc. It was him who told me about vaporizing - he's a Volcano user himself. I went out and picked up a Vapir NO2 from a dread-locked kid in a local headshop and read the book, figured out kinda how it all works, and then hid out in the garage with it. Next up was an Arizer Extreme Q - much faster, and I could sit in the garage and fill up bags!

Another doc suggested if I was looking for stealth that I should get a PAX, and searching for info on that led me to the FC site, and I've been here and hooked ever since. I'm learning a lot - made a batch of QWISO with Everclear last night, and just making another lb of butter in the slow cooker right now - should last me over the holidays!

So FC helped me find my last vape - an Inhalater INH05. I've had it a few weeks now, and other than a couple of teething issues it's a great unit. Small, simple, minimal parts to loose, and a USB-chargeable and replaceable battery. The next purchase will likely be an Underdog for use at the house, but we'll see how things work out with the INH first.

The good news - over the past year I've gotten off the arthritis meds 98%, and the narcotic painkillers about 90%. I have 4 or 5 different strains of MJ, ranging from high CBD sativa to high THC Indica, and swap them around throughout the day depending on what I require. I have the INH05 loaded and in my pocket, as well as a USB battery backup for charging on the go. And some high-strength cookies to munch on when vaping is inconvenient.

So there ya go. Thanks for sharing your stories earlier!

Im Austin, 20 yr old, currently in Arizona. Introduced to cannabis two years ago on halloween, and around six months later ended up buying a No2 for less than half retail from an unsatisfied friend. However, it opened my eyes to a whole new world! Been lurking on everything cannabis since then, but recently have been inspired to post. In the year and a half since discovering vaping, I have purchased a MFLB, a Solo, and a sweet mech mod to help quit smoking cigs, which I started three years ago on Halloween. (Evil Holiday:evil:). Recently decided to quit blazing for good, except for few and far social occasions, and developed a real love for my cherry LB, which has taken about a year for me to truly master. Now putting out clouds with it :D. I purchased myself the orbiter/pa 2.0 bundle on the 24th, couldnt miss that warranty on the glass. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new toys, and glad to be part of an awesome community!

I'm a seriously ill old fart who moved 3,700 miles to be able to use cannabis legally. Since settling in Portland I have had absolutely no one to talk to about medical use of the herb and have had to muddle through on my own. There is a great deal of prejudice against medical cannabis users in the medical community here, and I have actually been refused dental services, of all things. Its rather isolating.
