I was starting to wonder whether icewax was urban legend, I have never seen it in the wild. Anything sold up here as "full melt" doesn't. As for icewax, legend has it you can dab it on a nail.

I had the pleasure of doing a dab of ice wax off a titanium e nail at the 2013 710 cup in Colorado. It was the first table on the left side and a guy named Dr. Dabs, Im pretty sure he took a trophy or two home.

It's very popular up northern cali in bay area. Not so popular here in orange county though. And of course very popular in Washington and Colorado.

Just wondering if it's TRULY vaporizing.

IMO, Most is vaporizing, BUT not all of it. The proof that there is some combustion going on is the blackness left on the nail, and turning brown of the herb. In order for oil to vaporize it has to be exposed to some pretty high temps. Temps well above the point of combustion. So IMO, that microscopic layer of product that is in direct contact with the heat source has to be combusting. It will also be insulating the rest of the material ,farther away, from the heat source. So that it can vaporize without cumbusting, by being heated via radiant heat rather than contact. I would think, full vaporiztion would result in a clean nail. Because the product would be converted, prior to contact with the heat source.

My thoughts exactly. I guess it's the closest we'll get for full flavor and effectiveness. I've tried vaporizing full melt in my e-nano. It's nice but just not the same as dabbing it on a nail.

My favourite way to vape ice/full melt hash is to get a titanium screen, a completely clean water pipe, and a mangifying glass. Full melt bubble vapes really well on screens since it still has more of the natural plant wax left in it compared to solvent hash, so it doesn't just melt through as quickly.

Magnifying glass. That's something I've never thought of. Seems like it'll be real tasty.
