Why does dry herb vapor (DBV) make reclaim when vapor bonging?

When I put water in my bubbler and use it with my DBV, I get a build up of what I think is reclaim. Small yellow pieces of resin stuck to the side of the piece.

When I used dabs I figured it was because the temperature change was so high, causing the vapor to reform. But now that I am using DBV, mostly at low temps, I still get this waxy reclaim build up all over my piece.

Is this because it's passing through water?

Or would it be happening once cooled anyways? - Therefore if no water was used, would this reclaim reform inside of our lungs? (Since that's it's cooling point)

I'm trying to figure out if vapor bonging might cause reclaim to reform inside your body, more than if no water was used. Or if vapor bonging is helping less to reform inside your body since the process is happening sooner...preventing what we see in the pipe from happening in the lungs.

Ultimately I want to make sure this waxy coating isn't happening inside he body somewhere. And if it is, find a way to prevent it...because who knows how the body would get rid of this stuff bc it's so sticky.

No this is not caused by passing through water. When I use my Lotus or Nano with a dry j-hook, I have the same buildup.

It's caused because the glass is cold, and cold air/water will cause the vapor to condense faster. Using warm water in a warm room and you'll find less buildup on the glass.

From what I understand, It's not happening in your body because your body is absorbing it faster than you can build it up. You're fine, don't worry about it.

I personally prefer to use cranberry extract (rezblock) in my water to prevent any buildup (don't need to clean my pieces as often). The only part of the glass I ever really need to clean these days is the downstem side before entering the water path.

Thanks.

I'll look into the cranberry extract.

Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the yellow oil that builds up in the wand...I'm talking about the little flakes of waxy substance that form after the water ... I'm guessing reclaim?

We have a whole thread about rezblock somewhere around here - great stuff, but you need to replace it every other day or it starts to grow shit...

Ah, when you said reclaim I immediately thought about the yellow reclaim in the wand.

Yes, I know the waxy substance you're referring to, I think it's also reclaim, but not stuff you'd want to re-use (I think it has minerals and such from the water in it). I still don't think you need to worry about it.

There were some threads or something about this before somewhere, but I can't remember what the general consensus was.

I get the same kind of buildup in my glass piece after a day or so. It's white instead of yellow though. I like using water for the extra filtration, but I use a dry stem at least as much, if not more. I don't think there is a "better" though. At least, nothing objective.

Some experts with far more knowledge than I should be in soon.
