I've got both. I love my sublimator; now that I've hacked it I use it daily, but would recommend the herbalizer. It's safer and easier to use, especially for a noobie. It's also more reliable and versatile. Having said that; if you're coming from heavy combustion use, you may want to consider the evo as well.

Thanks for your input. I was leaning towards the herbalizer more anyways but the claims the sub makes seems to awesome to pass up. Also I will look more in to the evo then too.

I would def go Herbalizer over Sublimator. Like @grokit said, check out the EVO.

Herbalizer is like a Bentley.
Sublimator would be a rat rod
EVO is like any car in this pic.

Good analogy, the evo is the sports car and the sub is more like a detroit muscle-mobile.
These are great if like I said you're coming from a heavy combustion background and already have a high tolerance, because they're both heavy-hitters. But the herbalizer is no slouch in this department.
Herbie as a bentley? Okay but more nimble like a lexus imo!

Now that I think about it Herbie is more like a 2012 Fisker Karma. Sexy, sleek, american made, powerful, just like Herbie. Hell they even look similar.

Another thing to consider is where you live and where the vape is manufactured. Sublimator is made in Canada and the Herbalizer is in USA. If you to do warranty work for sublimator and live in the USA it will cost you about $50.00. The owner of Sublimator claims they can't afford to pay the shipping while he goes on worldwide dab tours.

On the other hand, if you have issues with Herbalizer they send you a prepaid shipping label. It costs you a box and packaging. When I had a problem with my Herbalizer bowl, Herbalizer sent me a new one, almost no questions asked within a few days. Top notch customer service and product from Herbalizer.

I am located in USA. The warranty is something that I find very important because it gives me peace at mind. So I like that the Herbalizer as great service.

A little info on me. I own a extreme q and love it but its time to upgrade. I love the look of the Herbalizer and all the features. Since I have the q, I have experienced bag and a whip although I am sure the Herbalizer is alot better. The sub is something new to experience and the claims it make is crazy, I dont know if this changes your recommendations but I am still leaning towards the Herbalizer. I just want to get peoples opinions on them before buying one, you know?

Thanks again for your input

I have to agree that if you're in the US, go with herbie or the evo for superior warranty service.
One thing I have to ask does the sub do everything its said to ? And how is hit like? Does hit with dry herbs? Is it like taking a water pipe hit or like a small dab ?

There's a few different sub models out now, one is made for herb, one is made for dabs, one goes both ways. The extraction is very good, but it's debatable whether it works as advertised. Imo as it separates into sublimate the resulting vapor is incomplete in its spectrum, requiring more work to get all of the effects out of your herb because you have to dab the sublimate separately. The adapt-a-bong works great with water, or you get the kit with the launchtube which is a dry hitter. It's fun to use it that way if you're into the ritual of it all, but if not it's just an extra hassle. One big thing that makes herbie superior to both the evo and the sub is it heats up ~instantly from a cold start. The sub and the evo both take significant time to warm up, and also have an auto shutoff so they can be inconvenient to use if you're in a hurry.

The Sublimator provides 1 big, bong like hit in terms of vapor volume, using .15 grams of dry herbs. It's instant effect to me feels like doing a dab or nitrous balloon. One could say it is like doing a dab with flowers. The long term high is more head than body becuase sublimatation process. Some people dont enjoy this type of high. The Sublimate produces Sublimate when you vaporize. The sublimate can be collected and dabbed, smoked, or eaten.

I'd suggest reading the whole Sublimator thread before making your purchase. You will see a once flourishing thread that pretty much went DOA. Never mind the Sublimator 2.0 thread.

The Herbalizer for simplicity and effectiveness in constant temperature readout and performance. The Sublimator is best known for its ability to "reclaim" your medicine in the most productive fashion if you consider the whole entire kit. The Evo offers a stylish glass top to a durable heater sitting underneath it. If I would pick the best looking as far as aesthetics goes I'd choose Herbie. Storage needs to be revamped though and lid looks flimsy which some say should've been thought out more considering its pricetag. Whichever you choose, you will get your 'bang' for your bucks. It comes down to functionality as well. Would you like glass? Sublimator and Evo play really well on this part alone. The Herbie inherits the whip function from the Sub and balloon function adopted from the Volcano I assume. It can also hold glass as well but you might want to find adapters or search the forum for mods on how to adapt glass onto the bowl. Good luck with your decision.
