Can you reclaim from Q-tips?

Hey folks,

While my Ascent is out for repairs I have been using my Haze vaporizer a bit here and there. One problem that I have been having with it is that the stems have not wanted to flick out lately and have required tweezers to remove the stem.

I yanked the stem out today and found the bottom part to be quite sticky so I dipped some Q-tips in ISO and ran it down where the stem inserts. I got several q-tips worth of residue. In the past I have always just tossed the q tips, but is there some way for me to try and reclaim all this leftover and put it to use?

There may be threads that already address this in some form, but I may have missed them. If I did, I appologize, I try to read through the forum pretty diligently.

Thanks in advance,

VP.

Let the ISO evaporate out of the cotton, then rip the cotton that has your reclaim off either end. Pull out the un-saturated cotton and there you go, imagine the saturated cotton as bud and just use it like that. As long as you can place your cotton ball into the hot air path then it will vape and leave the cotton behind. Very easy to do with convection vapes.

Good Luck :)

I've done exactly what @GrilledGoat suggests, using my Solo and Q-tips that have a lot of resin in them. I don't see why the Haze wouldn't work for this.

I save all my Q-tips and the ones I don't vape I throw into the ISO when I'm doing a clean and reclaim.

You can also cut the cotton and keep only the 'dirty' part then put that in some ISO bowl then stir or shake a lot (like you would do to recclaim some glass parts) and the 'oils' will migrate from the cotton to the ISO, leaving it only a pale shade of brown. Afterwards evaporate and consume as usual.

Thanks everyone for taking the time. I will fiddle around with both methods and see how we do. As of now I have only vaped herb, have not yet tried oil or reclaim.
