after a month with my MF, I really like it. However it at times is frustrating. I have a sharpstone 4part grinder. I get medical bud and most is very dense and resin filled. Thus it does not grind very fine. I grind it upside down as much as I can. Then fill trench halfway. I sometimes get very good hits. Then others I do it correctly and the hit is small.

The buzz is not as intense as with smoking. However I dont smoke so this is it for me. I am looking for recomendations on a under $200.00 plug in home vap if you have any :)

Back to the MF. I was interested to hear both my main caregiver Seattle Marijuana Medical Clinic and the DR I got my MM permit from in Seattle both have tried this unit and while liking the look and construction. Find that it does not deliver near the "Hit" that other standard vapes do and both do not recomend it to thier customers for that reason. They only recomend for stealth use in emergency.

Not wanting a flame, Just passing on what I have been told when I have shared my liking for this product.

In fact 2 people at the dispensirie said they have to smoke 3 times as many hits with MF to make up for small draws it provides. They like it but say its alot of work compared to others.:/
Besides making sure the herb is dried and cured, grind it so it's very fine.

Don't grind it so it's a powder but just a grind above a fine powder.

Someone on here wrote how you should grind it so the herb could easily pass through a metal window screen.

I get huge thick vapor hits from my MFLB but I don't fill it up all the way with herb I just fill the bottom of the trench, and use a tiny amount. I don't fill the trench halfway or all of the way.

Getting lots of vapor from the charged battery is very easy too but I don't leave it in very long.

I've noticed lots of people here do use the plastic stem that came with the MFLB I personally do not. Try the MFLB without it and see if you get a bigger vapor hit than when you've used the stem.

Got my MFLB today. It took 6 calendar days to arrive on my doorstep in New Zealand from Blisssville.

NB I didn't come with the sanyo charger. The inluded charger looks to be this one.

Just thought I'd post in this thread about converting someone who when they first used the Launch Box (g/f) said 'I hate this fucking thing' because they managed to combust a trench on first go.

Having had the Launch Box for a couple of weeks, the g/f asked to use it. I gave her the LB with a fresh trench, a freshly charged battery and instructions. She promptly managed to produce a coughing fit epic for the ages.

Fast forward 2 months and we went camping on a miserable weekend. She saw me 'lighting up' (her term) instantly, only needing to insert a battery and starting medicating while she had to roll. Fast forward when camping and we were playing frisbee with the dogs at about midnight and there was a 36 mph wind. She could not light her spliff, but the Launch Box was undaunted. This weekend I used it while walking the dogs, grocery shopping, driving around (I was passenger), and standing around in the rain (we got 4 inches) while she watched.

After explaining exactly how I was using the Launch Box, why she combusted and how stealthy/thrifty it is (I'm using about 0.1g per trench plus/minus .02 and yeah I measure I'm OCD) she has started to repeatedly mention that she wants a Launch Box

So a big thanks to everyone who has posted info that allowed me to buy the LB, and now hopefully g/f (she is having a very hard time quitting, but a lot of us have been there).

Hello, first time poster - long time lurker. Definitely stoned a bit off my ass from the MFLB that I just bought a few weeks ago... This thing is AWESOME. I can't explain to you how easy it is to toke up granted I have a place to load and unload bowls. It's just too awesome! If you don't have one and want a cheap, effective vape - buy this thing. So far I bought 4-energizer rechargables: they are good to use once you clean them... but cleaning them was a bitch. Ooh and I also have a tip for those launch-box users out there.
patron-2.jpg

These little patron tequila shooter bottles are GREAT for MFLB stash jars for three reasons:

1. Size: Effective and practical - fits in a little bag I have (a burts bees men cosmetics gift bag... lol) and is a good size to fit no more than an 1/8th or so of weed in.

2. The top of the jar/cork: The top of the patron jar is just big enough to fit in the circle that encompasses the screen but the actual hole itself is the perfect size to dump a good amount of weed in with ease. Also: If you get your jar like I did (already been consumed of and without a cork) then you can use one of the battery caps (those little black rubber things) that were included with your launch box kit as a cork. Doesn't that just show that this thing was meant for us launch-boxers!?

(3. I've always liked the look of those little patron jars)

I have also made a device using two chipotle carboard cups to make a contraption that makes my vaping look like I'm drinking out of a cup - if anybody wants me to post pics I'd love to do so but I'm unmotivated myself! Haha.

Iceshark- I would strongly advise against hash in the LB. Relatively early on in the thread, someone tried hash and it melted and stuck to the screen. Word is hash/hash oil/BHO is a no go in the box as they don't play nicely with the conduction screen.

I regularly use kief in my LB with no problems after at least 50+ trenches that had kief, including a few all kief trenches(fucks you up, but i like kief better mixed with bud).

If you do try hash in the LB, which I wouldn't, let us know how it goes. Take pics.

Furiousfapp-great idea. I'm in for one.

Had my box in pocket at work tonight, and made the rookie mistake of letting my metal keys come in contact with the battery, and that little bastard got soooo hot. While it was burning the shit out of my leg I had keep my cool because I was talking with a square, and I couldn't pull the hot metal out of my pocket until they left.

Once the burning stopped I thought the incident was pretty funny. Of course, I killed the battery's charge.

Thankfully I always have an extra batt in the car, and I wasn't forced to forgo my late night work box session.

You know...when i first got my LB I thought that I would NEVER short that batteries out by just having them in my pocket...it has now happened TWICE. Let my pain and humiliation teach everyone else...use the case or the caps. Shit gets real hot and you feal like a dumb dummy. Also, in my case, I only had two batteries on me while I was out...and the two batteries shorted each other. Both were dead...and I had a fresh LB with the top shelf in the trench staring back at me with now way of vaping it. Cock.

Then I got home and warmed the Q up. End of problem.

Does this happen when the battery is inserted backwards?

mine came with that charger as well!

I found a whole bunch of NiMH batteries around the apt, I tried putting them in the mflb and they fit..... Do I really need to take the labeling off?

or will the batteries get too hot with the labeling?

They won't make contact with the label on. The negative contact is the outside of the battery.

Is there anyway to sprinkle Hash on bud to smoke in MF?
Read this: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?pid=69547#p69547
I didn't try to mix hash and bud at the same time, but I guess it would work, as long as the hash does not melt at all.
Keep in mind that MF advises against using hash in the LB. If you're new to the LB, you might wanna wait until you're completely comfortable with it and have your technique down before attempting to vape hash with it.

A small bead of kif in the bottom of the trench works great.

Hey I'm about to buy an energizer 15-minute charger soon which comes with 4 energizer batteries. I'd like to know, how hard are they to clean? I mean, once you peel the plastic coating off, is there a layer of glue or adhesive left that you have to clean off?

The Energizer batteries are crap, so is the charger. Better off with Powerex 2700 mah batteries, eneloops or lsd Duracells (repackaged eneloops) and a smart charger.

I didn't have good luck with the Energ batteries that came with my charger....power-wise.

I used Goo B Gone to clean them with no problem.... Now they're useless lol cuz they just don't power the LB nearly as well as the stock batts.

also check what type of battery they are. Anything over 2500mA tends to be a bit too wide for the LB

It will fit but you wont be happy with the fit compared to the regular sized batteries.

So maybe peel and clean one and try that before doing the others.

The 2700 mah Powerex fit well. There is a little resistance when inserting fully, just enough so you know you have contact.

Will the larger 2700mA batteries strech out the negative terminal wire?
No, my 2700 mah batteries are just slightly snug. My Duracell/eneloop batteries work fine but are a little loose.

Hey, about to purchase myself a LB, and had a quick last minute question.

On the blissville website, they have 2 main options, one with a charger for $99 (looks like a 2 battery charger in the pic), and one without the charger, for $90. I live in Australia, so our power runs on a different voltage. However, I own a voltage converter that allows me to run any American device.

It would be much easier to not have to plug the charger into this, so I had a look at what similar chargers I can find here in Aus. I stumbled upon this one:

http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/4c04948c00292588273fc0a87e010646/Product/View/S4067

Would this work just as well as the one that comes packaged with the launch box? How about the NiMh batteries that come with it. Are they fine to use?

Cheers for the help,
Tim

I used to like taking native hits off my LB as I could control the vape by feeling the heat better, or so I tought going native.

However the taste after the first hit gets kinda nasty like you taste the stained wood of the LB too much. \

I started using the plastic tube. I can taste the variety better thru the supplied tube much better Plus I can control my hits just as good as Natve.

Im blasted right now on vaped Med grown half trainwrech and half Blueberry.
