I used to think my batteries sucked but then I got a new MFLB and realized my old got nowhere near hot as quickly. In order to do my technique I had to wait 4 seconds for vapor to start forming, now I can just use the MFLB as soon as I press the button.

Would only get about 1 trench per battery from my three year old MFLB with a Powerex 2700. Same battery on a new box provides what RUDE stated.

vaporlee, give it some time.
put the launch box away and come back to it later.

I promise you its technique..........it took me a long time vape correctly.....and no one told me or helped me so I was doing it wrong for a long while.

I "pulse" the battery on and off and I pay attention to the taste/heat.
that it was helped me most.
understading how this vape works also helped me...i read about it online...........then something just clicked after that.

I see so many people not pulsing their batteries.
its vaping not combusting....I just think pulsing the batts on this vape is essential IMO.
ymmv

thats just my technique.......you might find something that works better for YOU.
don't give up vaporlee!!

I also had 2 pairs of MF batteries, but after several recharge, the capacity of the battery seems reduced dramatically(within only 2~3 recharges from new), and much weaker to produce vapor compare to when they were new. And of course there is PA but its too expensive for just another accessory for me.

Tried real hard to like my MFLB, but... I just...
I will give another go for few more days before I put up on ebay. (had for 5 months:wave:)
Thanks!

Maybe it's just my MFLB.. or batteries..
Maybe I did something wrong..
I am very upset as I couldn't experience same MFLB as you guys ...

Very sorrowful really...

I had the same problems with my 1st mflb .
The batteries and the charger failed on me soon after purchase .
But I bought mine at a LHS and who knows how long the batteries sat on the shelf . Let's be honest , their chargers are just less expensive generic units . So I got an Energizer charger and new batts , problem solved .

You've said the LB is 5 months old . Have you ever cleaned it , your trench
especially . That WILL impede your success with getting vapors . I'm only
guessing , you've experienced combustion in your LB . Which will stain
your trench and should be cleaned .

To attain big clouds , I always like the ' micro-hits ' method . It works for me

btw , my earlier posts in this thread are still there . ( I think ) I said EXACTLY the same thing as you did , basically . And since I received
help from other members to enjoy my LB , I want to return the favor
or ( Flavor ) .

This is How Great a company MF are .
If your trench is faulty and Not allowing you to enjoy you're full vaping experience as intended . They should/will replace it . ime

I really appreciate your help! It sound more likely to me than just disagree with my experience without any help or guidance like few others..

I have cleaned my MFLB every month or two with ISO and cotton bud.
I have also bought second pair of MF battery and Intellicharger i4 (cost me 20 pounds:cry:) for better performance.

I also have seen from youtube how people use there MFLB.
I also tried how 'Vape Critic' uses his MFLB, but I can't hold my battery for that long, it obviously combust.(7~8 secs and inhale)

What I have experienced for 5 months so far, is when I hold battery for more than just 4~5 secs it combust! So what I have figured out was to shake every 3~4 sec to prevent any combustion. And also after several use the battery seems weaker to create any visible vapor(after charging).. Shake every 3 second is very tiring and I just don't feel that the vaporizer at this price should perform by itself or with only little handling. (Like many others)

I also spoken to MFLB about this and they just sent me another way to not combust..:bang:
So I know this is the little fight that I have to go through by my self as others are extremely happy about there LB.
I hate being isolated, so I might just listen to you and try purchase new LB again. (Better work this time..)

Btw is there any difference between Maple, Cherry and Walnut? (such as taste or smell of the wood)

instead of another launch box get something thats easier to use.
or maybe the MFLB just isn't for you?
not everyone loves the launch box....I'm fine with that....we all like different things.

check out the arizer solo.
also for a home unit maybe a bag unit like the Extreme Q or Volcano.
those are pretty simple fool proof units so you can stop being frustrated with your vaping experiences for the time being.
we want to keep you around and save your lungs and health.

Have Volcano, Vivape, Vivap2, E-Nano, Firefly, Pax, Indica, Hammer, Wispr 2, MFLB, Firewood 2.1 and 2 Arizer Solos. The problem is LB is only the one who let me down..

I Just decide not to give up on LB yesterday, as I also want to feel same with many others. And also I prefer to listen to others advices. So will give another go!

**pulse the batteries.
don't push in the batteries whole time you are drawing.
once your batteries are getting low.......then you can't let off the battery as much.
if you taste some flavor let off the battery for a second and continue drawing, then press the battery back on.
I keep doing that and do long draws.

also try packing a smaller amount in your trench.
many overfill the trench on the MFLB....and its just not designed for that IMHO.

just trying to help......i hope I succeeded.

You have quite the collection of vapes already .
From your previous post , I'd gather this much .
The ' shaking ' is what off-sets your timing .
I forgot to mention , I Always use mine with their 1 ft whip .
That allows me to ' shake n bake ' and to ' watch ' the progress of my trench avoiding combustion ....

I just tried to use a new MFLB and something wrong as batteries will not work. I have the good batteries they suggest and they work in my old (5years) MFLB so I am not sure what the problem is. Maybe not making a good connection on the back wire as I took out the washer that helps disengage battery thinking it was that. Is there a way to make the wire connection tighter at rear of battery??

There is no 'make it tighter' on the back connection, the wire is the stop the battery should rest on without the washer. If it isn't check the wood around the cut for the ring. Look for shiny spots on the wood and battery where it might be binding. Otherwise look at the ring and make sure it's just not too tight (they do loosen up over time).

Is there a difference mechanically between your batteries?

Just busted out a magnifying glass to inspect a bit of silver showing on one of my rails, and it looks like I have a bit of micro-tearing of the screen going on. It's not a big deal right now, but I'm worried that it might get worse in the future and leave me vape-less while getting it replaced. Do you guys think I should contact MFLB now or when it actually starts causing problems?

That's your call really. If it truly is damaged, I think Magic Flight would honor the warranty. I guess it depends on how bad the tear is at this point.

I meant the ring on the outside of box not connecting possibly. I am pretty sure with washer removed I am connecting to the main Wire but with no power at all coming through I feel it has to be a connector making the loop etc.
Is there a way to make the outside connector tight?
Thanks

Sorry, my misunderstanding. The ring. Some of what I said before still counts if that contact is dicey. First check that the metal actually sticks 'proud' of the wood (so it can make contact). If the metal is not exposed you'll need to close or shift the ring probably. In the old days we'd put the flattened part on a solid surface (I used the vice jaws), with the window open so the flat rests on the support. Then put a big screwdriver blade on the ring opposite (in the slot in the back) and give it a tap or two on the handle. You want to close the ring down a bit.

The last time I did this I bent a clip out of coat hanger wire. A U shaped loop a couple inches long with the ends bent to match the ring of the box. I clipped this loop on the box then carefully crushed the ring in the vice (once using vice grips instead). The key is to put pressure only on the ring, on opposite sides.

The second technique (with the wire tool) makes it easy to 'test fit' as you sneak up on it.

You can also send it back, of course.

Good luck.

My MFLB was my first vaporizer . My wife bought it for me as a wedding present . That was about 3 1/2 years ago . I loved it but somehow a few different vapes later , it just got forgotten . I just happened to pull it out last week and give it another run . Wow . I totally forgot how great it works and how much I can conserve using it . I am gonna have to keep this thing in rotation with my other vapes ...

I finally got the chance to test out my box...
I absolutely love it! When I breathe through my nose pulsing in a slow manner, I just get the perfect hit that is decently thick when I lose a little at the end of the hit- but it completely disappears before I exhale, maybe 3 seconds later. This thing is so brilliant!

High guys! Is there a more affordable alternative to the OEM water pipe adapter? I heard of people using a Vapor Brothers whip, but I don't have the details. Thank you.

you just slip the other end over the mflb tube, but you'll need a gong or wong or something.. or you could use a male to male adapter and just take the screens out of the bowl part

P.S. It's great with a reducer on the pinnacle pro. Whip in the car? Please and thank you.

Finally got my walnut LB and PA today:D Unfortunately i had to pay quite some invoice  but in the in the end i saved about $30 (and waited 3 weeks). If there is an Orbiter on Massdrop i don`t know if i will join, but no Dutch webshop sells them.

Anyway i`m gonna try my older LB with the PA and my selfmade waterpipe. Want to keep the walnut LB new till i fully understand the PA , and i like the "new"-smell:rofl:
