The Santa Cruz grinder is a piece of crap. I wish I had never purchased mine. All I did was throw away 65 dollars, thanx. I received mine and the first thing I noticed was there was already 2 small chips on threads. I ignored this because I was trying to not be picky, and I also know that the website I ordered from, EZGrinders.com prob wouldn't give me my money back anyways. There was also a silver smudge of some sort on the inside of the top piece that I was unable to get out. Top products here people, from a top website. Anyways when it became so bad I couldn't use it was when I noticed the rim on the inside of the grinder had chipped pretty badly. Now if I used it I ran the risk of that chipping into what I was grinding, awesome, just awesome. I treated this grinder with the best of care, I never dropped it, I never clanged it together. I even kept the thing in my own soft pouch when I wasn't using it. I feel very cheated by the shitty product this company produced, and the shitty website I purchased it from. Enjoy your damn near 100 dollars of my hard earned cash.

I wish you had never purchased the grinder too!
I am not sure why you would order from a company like that when you can get discounts from sellers right here on FC.. or you could order directly from the folks at SCS!
You yourself said:
I also know that the website I ordered from, EZGrinders.com prob wouldn't give me my money back anyways. .....
which implies it is less than the most "up and up" company....
yet you turn around and say
Top products here people, from a top website.
What do we believe??
Ikn ow...
I have an idea..
we can believe the great numbers.. the dozens upon dozens in the HERB GRINDER thread, that own most grinders out there... and found the SCS to be THE BEST!
That includes me.
I hope your next grinder experience is more positive, and I would stay away from that "top website" that
prob wouldn't give me my money back anyways..

As I said in the other threads where you posted this same thing...

Since the place you bought from is such an "awesome" website how do you know you even received a legitimate SCS product?

Given that your experience doesn't match the huge amount of additional customer feedback available for these products, I'd be inclined to look at alternative reasons for your issues before trying to torpedo an entire company based off a single experience.

With the info given in your rant/post I'd be inclined to think they sold you a damaged/defective product or you got a knockoff SCS... which may also have been damaged and/or defective.

Look at it like this. I hear Honda makes reliable cars. If I go buy one from Uncle Sal's Primo Awesome Car Sales Lot and it breaks on me on the way home my first reaction isn't to go online and put Honda on blast.

Also I don't really consider $65 "almost $100". Just saying.

To the OP. You posted this exact same post in 3 different threads. Ya feel better now??

Have you contacted the site where you purchased it from to request either a new grinder or a refund?

BTW, did it ever occur to you that, especially after reading all of the glowing reports on this grinder, that what you experienced is just an anomaly and has nothing to do with the overall quality of the SCS?

I don't think that there is a product made, any product, that is totally immune to something like this happening regardless of how good their reputation may be.

No I never did contact them. Honestly I thought they looked like a good website when I ordered the grinder. It wasn't until I received the grinder and saw how crappy it was that I figured there wouldn't be a point to contact them. The thing had two different chips on the threads, and this isn't counting the 3rd chip that appeared on the lip of the thing, and no I don't feel better. I still feel ripped off. I don't see how anybody can own one of these colored grinders and not have chips all over the place after owning that thing. All I did was unscrew it, very gently and two chips appeared. Lol when I first opened up the keif trap the flakes were in it from the chipped threads...... cleaned like surgical gear my ass.

I think you need to step back and look at this from a different perspective. I understand you may have gotten a bad product. Perhaps it was a factory defect. Maybe it was damaged after it left the factory. It happens. That's why there are warranty and return policies.

My brothers M3 was delivered directly from the factory in Germany with a chip in the finish of one of the wheels. Did it happen at the factory? During shipping overseas? When they loaded it on the truck to be delivered to his office? Does it matter? Was he pissed? Hell yes, but he also knows that shit happens and that companies tend to make stuff like that right. And you know what? BMW understood that he spent $70K on a new car and made it right ASAP. But at the same time, they didn't read his mind, he had to ask.

Point is, your experience doesnt make SCS a bad company, or the grinder a shitty product any more then my brothers damaged wheel is indicative of your average BMW purchase (being the overpriced kraut rocket it is).

Bottom line is that you are making some pretty wild assumptions on a lot of aspects here without doing basically anything on your end to try and get it rectified. That pretty much puts the ball squarely in your court at this point, and it is unfair to unload on SCS or the e-tailer as of yet.

I suppose its my fault for not realizing I should of contacted them and not used it. I should of contacted them as soon as I saw the chips on the threads. Had it not been for a 3rd chip showing up I would of been fine with it. However the 3rd chip was not there when I received it. Which makes me think that it wasn't shipping or anything like that, but the product itself just sucked for whatever reason and had a crappy coat. Also the 3rd chip is where the weed ends up, and I don't want to vape paint. It had already been used for around a week when the 3rd chip appeared. I don't want to send in a used grinder. My woman just bought this for my bday too. Its going to be a while before I can afford another one. I'm trying to not be so upset, but man it was supposed to be so nice xD.

Just ISO wash the fuck out of it and send it back. What the hell. You rant and rave about getting a defective product but yet you don't want to do squat about rectifying it?
