Glass for the Arizer Solo

Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting some glassware to go with my Solo (and hopefully my Omicron Lite also). The vapor has been way too harsh for my lungs. Do I need anything more than a GonG (and a bubbler or whatever) to get started?

mod note: New thread created from massive Solo thread derail

Correct. The GonG attaches to a glass piece and into the Solo.

I just vaped some oil cotton in mine

If you can't find a gong for your Solo try fellow FC member VapedandConfused he's making some special glass pieces the name is JoDa Glass Works, it's a sub thread under Glass. Snappo bought one of his stems for his Solo.

I've been looking through his thread, he's just starting out and he is making some very pretty pieces.

Get at least a 14mm GonG and a 18mm x 14mm reducer bushing.
You can hook up to most glass pieces with these 2 items. From there you can add more stuff if you become addicted?

I ordered D020 and I ordered the 18 mm Gong from GV. Do I need anything else? I will be using it with my Solo. I don't need a reducer bushing do I? This probably has been covered, I'm sorry.

I want to be ready on day one.

18mm is the size of the D020.
Your GonG will work fine.
I use the 14mm PHVES with a reducer bushing because my 18mm is stock.
The stock works fine however I have the older unit with a 113 seal and the PHVES are the perfect combination for my preference.

I have so many glass pieces it's out of control.

I need desperately the 18mm PHVES GonG to enhance my set ups!

Have you tried the small piece of cotton around a Dab of shatter?

@Caligula got me started on this one!

Talk about medication?
The NANO works great however the SOLO can do it as well!

Talk about being resourceful?

Thanks man. Exactly what I wanted to know.

Is PlanetVape the best place to go for these 2 things?

Hi.
So I've had an Arizer Solo for a week and I love it. I want to buy the pinnacle water tool for it, but the only pvhes gong still in stock at planet vape is the 18mm standard. Would that fit the pinnacle water tool? Ideally I wanted a 14mm shorty. How often does planet vape restock? Should I bother waiting?

How does the pinnacle water tool compare to a real bong?

How does solo+bong compare to a plug in vape?

Also, the planet vape standard gong adapter (non-high efficiency) comes in two options - carbed an no carb. What exactly does that mean? How is the standard gong adapter different from the pvhes?

The carbed version has a hole in it that you cover/uncover to clear your hit without removing the stem from the glass. The PVHES version has channels cut into it to allow for increased airflow.

The F-bomb is a much better choice. They are both 14mm.

It is more expensive, but it's 10X the quality of the pinnacle watertool.
The pinnacle watertool holds water in the upper chamber near your mouth because the diffusers aren't as low as they should be. It is also more fragile than the F-bomb.
The Planetvape F-bomb is much more durable and hits way better too.

The carbed Gongs have a hole in the side.

Shortys are "half" chamber sized, nothing to do with length, just chamber size FYI.

The PV "turbos" as STU said have slits in the sides that go into the SOLO to improve airflow.
All mine are turbo stems/gongs. I love them.

1. Carb has a hole non Carbed no hole.
2. Stock no air grooves.
3. PHVES air grooves. (photo to the right)

Planet Vapes for GonG's.
I buy most of my fitting at the SMOKE SHOP near my house.
ebay if you buy on line!

Nice. I ordered a 14mm standard gong and a 18mm x 14mm reducer bushing from PV, and a D020 bubbler from DHGate. If I end up waiting too long for the D020, I'll prolly head over to my local headshop and pick something up.

With the 14mm GonG and 14mm ASH COLLECTORS you can experience NIRVANA if medication this way is desirable?

Hey

The assassin's necktie on that website seems great. Plus its got an 18mm thing, that'd mean better airflow (wouldn't it?).

Does anyone have any experience with it? How is Glass Blower's reputation? Does anyone have anything to say about how the assassin's necktie compares with the fbomb/pnwt?

How much tilt can the pnwt and the f-bomb take before they leak water or the vapor moves without touching the water, i.e., at what angles is the pnwt and the fbomb usable?

also

Has anyone come up with a use for the PVHEGonG High Efficiency GonG Female?

I can't answer that 18mm question , but why don't you ask in the GBD thread in the glass section. I was very happy with Sam and GBD and the piece they made for me

Well, I'm pretty sure you can go lower than 15 degrees to the horizontal with the fbomb: you can practically lay it down before it leaks. Don't know about the other.

@tqbf The F-bomb can be tilted at 45 degrees with no water in the mouth and no vapor hindrance.
The pinnacle water tool can't be tilted that much, and you can't put as much water in because of the upper diffuser slits being raised up not allowing the water to flow back down properly.

Also I should note the F-bomb fits the SOLO and the PnP better (more snug, secure) than the pinnacle WT.

The PV "turbos" as STU said have slits in the sides that go into the SOLO to improve airflow.
Actually you're talking about the High Efficiency (PVHE).
In the turbos, the "glass screen" (the glass disk with the 4 holes in it) isn't there, and there is a "lip" in the glass made to hold a ss screen where the glass screen should be.
Basically if you don't put a screen in a turbo gong, it's only a glass tube with nothing to hold your load into place.

Has anyone come up with a use for the PVHEGonG High Efficiency GonG Female?
Yes, quite a lot of bubblers have a male joint. See this one for an example.

Edit: Turbo description from PV
Large Single Bore with a glass rim to hold the required screen
