Upgrading my vapes worth it?

Hi everyone!
I could be in the market for new vape(s). I currently have a Solo as my Portable. I love it although it could be stealthier, convection only and as always with portable...more battery power...or maybe not more battery power, but more accessible...something like USB. Honestly though the only vapes I've been looking that wouldn't replace it, but complement my Solo would be a Pax or a Inhalator XP. Since they are more inconspicuous.

As for my desktop vape, I have a Vriptech Heat Wand that I love as well. The only contender would be the VapeXhale Cloud Evo. Or since I like the Solo I was thinking of a whip and bag combination, but I'm not really well versed in the desktop vapes Hehe

Well I went to check out the INH 05 on indiegogo and found the Grasshopper...seems kinda nice... I wonder about taste/ vapor path and if the battery is easily changeable

For a desktop vape - if you're willing to let it sit for a bit to heat up (or keep it running at lower temps when not in use) - I love my Nano

For portable vapes - the Solo really is one of the best around currently it seems. You might take a step backwards in quality of the vapor production if you look at something more stealthy.

Though I must admit, the Solo's design was so unappealing that I skipped right over it when shopping for my first portable vape. I regret that decision now.

Have you considered the firefly?

How much are you looking to spend here?

I have found the Firefly / Solo combo to really round out my home needs, along with my Heat Island as my desktop (but the HI has a year long waiting list).

I agree with @Ratchett in that you'll probably sacrifice vapor quality when looking for something more stealthy. How much stealth are you looking for in your portable?

You could look into the Elevape, but it's still very new. They might even be selling beta units? I wasn't really clear on that.

The Cloud Evo would be a huge jump, but there are plenty of other good desktops that would requite less coinage...

well stealth wise, a great choice would be the Pinnacle Pro, but to me it feels harsh on level 2 or higher without a water pipe connected. or you can just get a T-vape, its a e cig looking vape.

I'm looking for a pretty stealthy unit, as it's the main selling point for me. What I mean by stealth is something I can use and only potheads would know it's a herb vaporizer, or stiff people who think everything's for the "Evil Drugs".

The Pax seems to fit the bill, but the price point is pretty high (no pun intended :p) so if I'd go for it it would have to be a pretty tasty vape, I mean clean tasting vapor.

The Firefly looks really nice but it doesn't cover what I'm looking for as far as stealth goes.

Though I'm really interested in the Grasshopper as it ticks all my boxes...I'm just hoping it won't end up like the pseudo vapes e-cig-a-like that still combust a little bit.
I'm ready to spend however much for the perfect portable. But if it's affordable, I'm all for it, I'm pretty poor, literally :(
Also I don't use concentrates, and when I do I use my Ti Nail.

As for the Cloud Evo, I'm mostly looking for a water bonging tool. I already have a Vriptech Heat Wand and I'm still perplex it would be a big jump up...
I think my best bet would be a combo wand/bag vape for variety reasons. I still use the Solo for a couple of hits before getting big vape clouds from the Vriptech...They kinda give a different high I think.

well it feels different high since the solo can only reach 410f and the vriptech vapes at a higher temp and the vriptech has a bigger airflow then the solo which is more restricted.

Well, maybe not a big jump up, but based on what I've heard here, the EVO is definitely considered a step up by many. Though in all fairness I have used neither, so... you know.

Have you looked at the Indica as a portable option? New, but getting very positive reviews. I don't know if it would meet your stealth criteria, but it as significantly lower-priced than the Pax.

Good luck dude, I'm seriously interested to see what you end up with. There aren't really any clear winners in the ultra-stealth vaporizer category currently. All of them have problems, and none of them perform perfectly. The only way to go full stealth is with concentrations from what I gather.

I still think the PAX is your best option for stealth right now that fits all your needs. Except taste, the pax isn't that wonderful of a taste, but it does the job.

Pax is the way to go love mine only portable that has this much stealth and you wont even notice it's in your pocket so nether will others.

I'm mostly looking if it's worth it...depending if I find one to my liking or not. If I don't I'll just save it for when that/those vapes will exist.

Yes I'm looking into the Indica vaporizer and it seems pretty nice, although stealth wise I'm not quite sure, it's a weird impression, bystanders would probably just wonder what the hell I'm doing with a big Zipper in my mouth hehe I'm considering it still.

About the taste of the Pax, as long as it doesn't taste like plastic or metal or something else, if it's just that you don't get all of the flavors I'm ok with that.

Firefly looks hella cool...but with the cool red glow I fear it would be far from stealthy...

What's a good whip vape that's not too expensive? If does Bags as well it's a plus. Or should I look into a log vape instead of a whip?

I love my Log vape (nano) - takes a while to heat up - but I normally crank it up when I first get home. By the time I settle down for a session, it's usually ready to go.

If you don't need to buy a stealth unit right now, I would wait. I still am not convinced there's a good stealth vape on the market that works with raw flowers (there are plenty of options for concentrates). The pax like I said medicates, but the taste is nothing to write home about, and you need to clean the hell out of it weekly to keep it working properly.

I've only had one whip vape - it was a vape brother's knockoff - hated the taste, didn't like it at all when I bought it (first vape ever 5 years ago, didn't convert me to vaping). After my first real vape died shortly after saying "fuck combustion!", I was desperate and pulled it out of the closet. Cleaned it and bought a fresh tube for the whip, still tasted like ass.

Have you considered the Elevape smart vaporizer? It's not as small as footprint as the grasshopper, but seems to be very stealthy and should have minimal smell due to on demand heating.

7th Floor's Da Buddha is time tested and affordable, with the SSV not too much more. Rich hits from both.

If does Bags as well it's a plus.
A dual mode vape in the same general price category (herbalAire or Extreme) will be a slight to moderate compromise on the direct draw side. I'd make sure you really intend to use the bag fill feature if you go dual mode. I've used all 4 of the above mentioned models and for direct draw the 7th Floor products are easily the better choice IMO.

Or should I look into a log vape instead of a whip?
The e-nano has versatility going for it, as well as a nice temp control. You can use it easily with water filtration for bigger hits, and sipping from the glass stem allows you to vape in conservation mode, using less of your supply while still getting a satisfactory amount of vapor. It won't give you lung busting, eye watering hits like the DBV or SSV can, but it can still pack a big punch if you want to use it that way.

There's no reason a whip vape should taste bad unless it's a total POS and dangerouse to use. I've used cheap ones in the past and they've worked quite well. Bad taste is most often due to hitting ABV.

All good advice. I'm loving how well the Nano still maintains temperature no matter who I hand the vape off to. You can hit it hard or slow, still works great!

I don't know why my VapeBrother's knockoff vape tasted like crap even with a fresh clean whip. But it was a no-name knockoff from my LHS. Who knows what materials were used in it's construction. I'm almost thinking about donating it to Vitolo

Sorry if that came off jerk-ish. I had a guy in a LHS try and sell a knockoff beyon knockoffs to person with realllly bad respiratory problems. Later that week all of them were recalled and pulled from the shelf after the guy claimed it was one of the healthiest they had. Not a good situation of she had bought and used it. :/

You're absolutely correct, I have edited my post. But we're going way off topic now, sorry about that!

Talking about knock-offs as well as correcting an inaccurate statement in regards to knock-offs in a thread about upgrading vaporizers is not off topic in any way, the way I see it.

But then, this post could be considered off topic, eh?

Ok, back to your regular scheduled programming.....
