@MaxVapor , nice case / setup!! Lookin good. Glad you're enjoying so far.

Yeah the case fits great for my needs. Room enough for spare battery, small stash, and cleaning tools.

One thing I really enjoy about the FF is the toasty aroma upon opening her up after several hits. The one thing that disappoints me is that my particular unit has a mushy button that only makes good contact if pressed on the front half. Someday this may require a warrantee claim, but for now I will put up with it.

For those who ask about cleaning I think it is pretty forgiving. I only clean it every 4 or 5 bowls and it only takes a few minutes with some iso, a tissue, and a Q-tip.

Going to do some top screen experimentation next.

Update: so FF got my unit last Wednesday/Thursday... I didn't contact them or annoy them or anything just sent it back and waited. Got a return shipping label yesterday! Pretty good if you ask me...shipped back Monday via FedEx says it'll be here Friday. Wish they used usps it would probably be here already. Oh well

Now I just sent mine back for a loose battery door. They requested I send everything back because a new door doesn't always fix the problem...well I guess it did cause they are sending back my old firefly with a new battery door...

Over all pretty happy with the experience. I wonder if it would have been any longer had my unit not been working but who knows. I'm thinking they just put the 7-10 day processing thing in there as a worst case scenario thing.

Here's my FF technique (nothing new):
fill bowl with hand torn flowers.
8 seconds preheat.
1 second off.
4 seconds preheat.
(while the above is going on, take several deep breaths, then exhale completely)
I begin to slowly draw, slow enough to keep the bowl glowing.
When I feel I can only draw for another 10 seconds, release the heat button and keep drawing for as long as I easily can.
Hold my breath for a few more seconds, then exhale.
(I know some authorities say there is no point in holding your breath, but what about studies like
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16637053
which found: "on average 35% of inhaled TCH was directly exhaled again".)

One draw like this is quite sufficient to fully medicate me.

The next time I use the FF, I empty the bowl contents onto a sheet of paper, crush flowers a little more with my fingers, and use the paper to slide everything back into the bowl.

Since I got it, I have used the FF for over 20 full draws, and I haven't found the need to clean it yet.

I got my repaired FF back after only 9 days on it's round-trip to Seattle, which ain't too shabby, considering it went FedEx ground both ways. Sure is good to have her back and I'll tell you what: There is no comparison between MFLB and the FF when it come to effective medication. The Fly reigns supreme!

Glad it went well for you. I'm wondering if the 7-10 day thing is a supply chain issue; I notice they are completely out of stock on all colors, as is VapeWorld. At the moment it's not easy to find one.

It's probably on a truck somewhere between Seattle and your house. As long as you have a tracking number, it won't get lost. Mine was shipped back with no problems.

I'm talking about domestic shipments (from one US state to another)
Its obviously not just me expressing concern, there is a reason why the returns are setup to go to Seattle

I agree that it would be pathetic of the feds to pour resources into busting an individual for sending back a broken vape with a dab of residue on it ...but its just something to think about ..it never hurts to be overly informed, but it does hurt to be under informed

Actually it can hurt to be overly informed, a study recently showed that people who do a lot of research before making a purchase are more likely to suffer buyer's remorse after their purchase. Always wondering if maybe they made the wrong choice.

Back OT, I have been trying a bit using a top screen. It definitely makes the bowl hotter which I think I like as feel my FF seems to run a bit cool based on how others here describe theirs.

I tried the topscreen method tonight. I was cleaning up and found some screens that fit my FF perfectly. I have been using the arizer basket. I packed and placed the topscreen on and I got 5 good lung blasting hits. Then gave the FF the Vitolo shake and got 2 more good hits. ABV was evenly colored. Could have got maybe 2 more hits but I was lit off that one session. Lavender Kush tastes good as hell in the FF. I like how the FF magnifies the flavors.

Don't let the negative vibe confiscation thingy bring down the conversation, even though such negative talk had me trying wrap my head around it for a couple of days. I'm sorry if I sound like an old 60's-70's guy, but the Firefly is an instrument of only good vibes and good karma and a tool of much higher universal laws that deal in peace, harmony and enjoying items of quality. I hope you are all having a nice holiday weekend. Anyone introducing their Firefly's to new family or friends this weekend? If so, how do they like it?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anybody has recently and successfully used the Herbalizer aroma pads with wax/concentrates/hash in their FF? Worth it? Any other pads that will work (Aroma Pads are always out of stock)

I just sandwich my concentrates between some bud and it works really good. And it tastes out of this world....makes those vape pens taste like poop. As you hit it, the oil spreads out evenly through the bud and i haven't had issues with it dripping down. When the bowls no longer sticky you know it's cashed.

Just wanted to pipe in and say that I've had my FF for almost 2 weeks now and have been using it almost daily. I am overwhelmingly pleased with my purchase of it. It hasn't come close to combusting, although after a few rather continuous, and therefore warm hits the ABV has gotten pretty chocolate-colored, but nothing resembling something burnt.:love::love:

I've had my FF for a month, and have encountered a rather steep learning curve. I can't seem to find a technique that produces consistent results, and the instruction manual is no use. I've done a lot of internet research to figure this out, which is actually how I landed here.

Correct me if I'm wrong: the product should not be ground too fine. I've been cutting it up in a shot glass with a pair of manicure scissors to get a small, choppy consistency, but not dust or anything, and certainly not large buds. Is that right?

Then, I have been heating it for about 8 seconds, taking my finger off the button for a second, pressing it down again and inhaling. This is often where i get tripped up. Sometimes it seems like a long, quick inhale is best, but other times that does not work. Other times, it seems like a slow, long inhale is best, but other times--not so much.

Sometimes, I get a lung full of vapor and exhale, a lovely, satisfying cloud. Other times--nothing. What gives? What should I be expecting here? Should I expect to exhale a cloud of vapor? I'm new to this whole approach in general and thought it would be easier to figure out. Is there a foolproof way to make this work? I feel like I wasted quite a bit of money and am this close to ditching it for edibles.
