Hey there, completely new to this forum so .....um Hi I guess? I'm not new to vaping however having stuck loyally to Vapir products(considering the experiences I've had I dunno why?) Yeah so why Last chance saloon I hear you murmur. Well in the last 15 months(since I quit tobacco for good) I've had 5 diferemt units and all bar one died on me so the Wife says i'm allowed to buy one more and then if that breaks i'm back to my Vaporstar or the very noisy Vapir OneV5.. I had the oxygen mini, then a pax,2 No2's and i'm on my 2nd Vapir oneV5. So i'm looking for something that's gonna stand the test of time. Was leaning towards the Plenty, but the massive chamber is a bit much. I don't have access to unlimited amounts of herb and I've read a lot of not so positive things about the liquid pad. The only others I've actually considered are the eNano and the extreme. Yeah so all in all i'm looking for something absolutely bombproof, with a good warranty and having used balloon and whip styles and portables too i'm not fussed as to how the vapour gets to my lungs. PLEASE HELP ME?
PS I realise I've probably asked a question that has been asked a million times but I didn't wanna post in someone elses thread. Cheers!!

Welcome! There's PLENTY of knowledgeable people on this site (most with more knowledge than I on the subject of vapes)

Sounds like you've had quite a few electronic vapes. Have you considered a butane powered vape like the Lotus? I too was on a quest for a reliable vape when my fancy 1 month old portable Davinci Ascent died (wouldn't heat up)

I saw someone else use the lotus in a video over on the cheap glass bubblers thread when my Davinci died and KNEW I had to have it. Especially since it could pair very well with glass. Doing a bit of research, I found how simple it was - the torch lighter used to heat the Lotus is more unreliable and likely to fail!

The Nano sounds great (I'm in fact currently shopping for an Exotic wood version), and I'm even thinking about building a log vape myself in the near future. But The nano is still a new kid on the block, it's practically a 1 man shop (I've heard he hired help, but it's still a small business). The warranty is awesome, but you might have to wait a bit to hear back from Andy since he's a busy guy.

The Lotus is also a small company, with an awesome warranty, but I get the impression they are a bit of a bigger operation than Andy at EpicVape currently. Both however, are small businesses.

Either way, think about something different perhaps. Instead of traditional electronic vapes, there's a whole world of butane powered vapes you'd never expect to find.

Another awesome thing about the Lotus is there's really only 1 part that can fail - the nickle hot plate. But for $13 you can buy a spare plate to keep if you ever need to replace it in under 20 minutes. I have droped my lotus on a concrete patio twice now, not a single problem with the Lotus (aside from some nicks in the black paint!)

:2c:

(Disclaimer - yes, I've been a Lotus fanboy since the day I got it! But I'm still a vape newbie)

Herbalaire is top of my list for durability

it is also incredibly versatile, pairs well with glass, can fill bags, direct draw..
I didn't know you could actually drop it from that height. Good to know that the parts stayed intact in what you would otherwise think is a delicate and fragile piece of tech. Now I just wonder why someone would use their vape at that height

Lotus, Solo, any 7th floor product like the ssv. If I could only have one vape and it HAD to be proven to be durable it would be the ssv. Also, a well made log vape that had been time tested should do.
I had looked at the ssv and also the lsv. Forgot to mention I bought an iolite about 6 months ago. Woefully bad IMO. I really like the look of the enano. Any uk users? How long to arrive? And how much including shipping? Re the Plenty, are the liquid pads as bad as some make out?

I use him he's ultra fast everything TBH 2 working days max for my orders from him usually next day.

He's just added the hammer and baker to his site no idea if any good

I had an iolite traded it for some blueberry

I bought my son a Vapor Genie, because he and electronics just don't do well together.

Sigh.

However, he totally loves the VG so far.

If it were me, I'd get a basic log vape, and I choose (active present tense, yes, I chose the Nano for myself, but I am choosing to endorse the Nano now) the Nano. It's simple. Plug it in, set the temp dial thing to somewhere between 5 & 7, and you've got reliable vaping experience, with very, very little herb required.

We have a thread on it around here somewhere...

Thanks a lot everyone. The eNano is looking really good to me so far. I've never used a wand and whip style vape before so I'm not sure about ssv. I take it by the lack of mentions that nobody would recommend the plenty then? Do I need to use a transformer for the eNano? I'm in the uk so it's a 240 volt supply. If so any recommendations?

Yes, you will need a transformer, 240V will blow out the variable power supply.

do a search on nano thread, this topic has come up several times before

yeah I've been over to his site a few times, don't like the hammer that much and he doesn't carry the enano obviously. If I get a plenty i'd most likely be ordering from there or straight from manufacturer. Cheers man.

To get high!
Boom boom! So seriously nobody can give me a help with this transformer question I keep asking? Might just forget the Enano as I'm not sure about the transformer. Pity cause it was looking like a clear winner. Not gonna risk putting it in my vapir transformer. Seriously want to give Andy my hard earned but even though I'm assured that I will find my answer on here I really don't have time to look thru hundreds of pages for a name. Someone has to know.......

Well, yeah. If you would have said, in your OP or when you filled out your profile, that you are in the UK, then someone from there would know to answer your questions.

It musta said it originally in my profile as I did that before posting the question. Anyhoo yeah I be in Scotland where practically nobody vapes. Even the copper that busted me was bamboozled and had never heard of vaping. Sod it I'm gonna order it anyway and seeing as I have a 400 quid 'allowance' I think I'll get a solo too!!!!!

I believe you'll find both much nicer then the Vapir one that has to be the worst vaporizer I've ever used.
A giant step up.

Yay. Spoke to Andy and he has confirmed my transformer will work jus fine. Roll on tomorrow so I can order it!!!! Thanks everyone. On the other issue(portable unit needed) can anyone help me decide? I always liked the look of the solo and the inhalaterINH004 but have heard that the later models of the inh004 aren't great. I see that they're on indiegogo trying to raise funds for the new model. Any thoughts anyone? Stealth isn't that important but reliability and a solid feel are. Cheers again folks. You really are a lovely bunch of folk.

Congrats, I too just ordered my exotic e-Nano last night within minutes of Andy uploading it (been watching all day).

The solo seems to be one of the best electronic portable vape on the market if you don't need stealth. I really regret having not chosen the Solo over my Davinci Ascent, but live and learn.

Seriously, don't even look at any other electronic portable vapes except the Solo. I've never even heard of anyone using the inhalater around here (if they do, they are far and few between). Yet It feels like every other person on this site either has or had a Solo in their collection!

@fregglepops man you are going to absolutely love the E- nano. You have made a great decision :) regarding a portable the Solo is awesome as long as you don't want super stealth. The Indica is a new one getting good reviews as is the Firefly. Honestly though everyone needs a Solo if you ask me. Does the job every time. You can also get a wooden stem from @edstnt and it becomes very portable. Good luck man and make sure you let us all know how you get on :)
