@OF just got my stems thank you very much! Even got a little laugh when i opened it up :)

Great! Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the packing.........

This is the third report back (the others by PM), let's give the PO a week or so to loose then find yours? So for those 'on the list' (I think I responded to every PM) if you don't get yours by say this time next week, PM me and we'll try again? I've still got about 3 feet of tube left.

Thanks again, I hope you're enjoying the stem. 4/20 is my time to reflect on how fortunate I am to live in a MMJ state, and to wish our brothers and sisters in pain and need caught in less compassionate states swiftly join the family.

The worm is turning, but 'time's a wastin' at the same time.

Regards to all on a lovely spring morning.

On the subject of how do you carry your LB. I use the tin lol.

That ego case looks the one though. I'm gonna grab one of those for sure!

If it helps i found a multipack on ebay. Pick and choose colors and sizes i think it was 5 for $20 :)

I received my 420 celebration stems from @OF today, "with a laugh," and had a fun experience. I haven't been letting the box stay too cool for quite some time now because I had some paranoia a couple of times. Since I wasn't in a situation where I could vape too much at the time, I tried to see how little I could do. I literally just put a few crumbs worth in the trench and inserted the nice 4''+ acrylic stem. I'm not sure if it's because the airway is slightly more restricted than the glass stem (which broke :( ) ... but I think the temperature stayed low. Forgot how fun a nice vape head high with almost non-existent body effect can be. Thanks again! :D

Thanks @Herbalist23, @pakalolo & @b0. Glad you like it. Hope to make more adventures soon, but I suck at directing. I tend to run my artists into the ground... ;)

@kente777 Just rebuild your herb-saver, awesome for any outdoor activity beyond walking!

Ok this may be a bit dim of me but if i have my batteries in a case do they still need the caps? No matter how i situate them i cant get it to close with the caps on? I figure since they are in separaters and cant touch eachother as long as the case is secure its alright?

You're fine without the caps. To get into trouble you need a piece of metal to touch 'both sides' of any one battery. Could be change or car keys or another battery. With the jackets on it's basically impossible (unless you throw it and a handful of change in a coat pocket and do jumping jacks until your coat catches fire.....). With the jacket stripped off the critical spot is the top of the jacket where it's near the positive terminal button. The gap you need to 'short' is very small. The battery case protects this area, you're Jake.

BTW, I put a strip of cloth in my case, it keeps the batteries from rattling in your pocket.

Don't worry, you don't need the caps if you've got the batteries in a case where they can't move. The caps just ensure that the plus pole don't come in touch with a ground surface and accidently discharge.

Edit: OF was faster, can be deleted :)

Thank OF :). The only metal i carry in that area of my purse are my glasses and they dont have much real metal on them so chances were slim if one popped free they would make contact but im a bit paranoid (lol at the irony). I like your imagery for some reason i can see Jonny Lee Miller on Elementary doing that experiment! Great tip about the cloth i have alot fo those microfiber screen wipes that would be just perfect.

Thanks Horst :) im learning alot along the way but im not well versed in electricity. I know the practical stuff like how to wire a fan or change an outlet (dad is a handy man) but how electricity actually works well im a bit dim ;)

What's up with you guys up so late? I ended up asleep again from 4-8, so I can't sleep anymore... Though I'm trying to vape my way there :D

Im a born night owl. From infancy i never had the typical sleep schedule still dont. Even when i was healthier my early night was 2am bedtime. Around 16 years old i stopped trying to fight it, my body just isnt that way and it wastes energy trying to make it so.

If I had $30.35 to spend on anything, and I mean ANYTHING, it'd be the FG. If I even had $31.36 I'd still drop that on a FG. But, I only have a one dollar bill and a rectangle of plastic. I'm gunna go buy a bag of chips ;)

just bought a Finishing Grinder for $30.35.....while I'm still on probation

I hopefully get off probation sometime next week, somebody please assure me that it's $30 well spent

Hmmm im no expert but here is my 2 cents. Yes the grinder does make it easier especially if you dont carry preground with you. It does get it finer than my cali crusher (even turned upside down) but if your have a particularly dry bud you can crumble your already ground to a suitably fine texture. It is super handy for ver sticky bud though and saves the frustration of sweeping out your bigger grinder.

I got mine as a 420 feebie from puff it up. If i hadnt gotten it then i cant say i would have ordered it right away, eventually yes but i feel my ball bearings in a tube would have done well enough. I wanted it for away from home/travel and maximizing availability by creating more surface area.

So overall yes worth it but it depends on what you use, how much, and if you carry with you often. For me with very light daily needs (easier to do small amounts in the finisher)and that my nausea is all day long needing repeat medicating when im not home its worth it. I really love that i can grind right into the trench without spilling :)

I want to tell you guys that the mflb and orbiter have made my first year at college that much more enjoyable and has saved me from countless possibly sticky situations because of its tiny size and pencil sharpener like aesthetics which blend harmlessly into any pencil bag, doubling as the smell barrier. The orbiter does have some aesthetic and functional shortcuts like a few scratches and a screw on the metal stand which still leaves it lopsided, but it is a great add on with a very functional (a joint for the mouthpiece)and safe design (the metal stand has protected the glass for more than a few tumbles). With the lifetime warranty on the glass bought in 2014, it is my go to glass for individual or small intimate get togethers - the 5th floor thanks MF - and with simple precautionary measures like glycerin (lube) + lemon juice (taste and slightly acidic antiseptic) it is nearly spotless with only after session rinsing.

Since the deal to acquire a Firefly, from an esteemed member on these forums, fell through. I'm taking it as a sign from the gods to forgo a vape purchase on this special occasion, and I am instead putting that money to summer classes so normal semesters can go a little smoother. This forum was very helpful and is still very enlightening in developments in the vapor world - before discovering the mflb here I was using only the Pax for an ungodly span of time. Thanks everyone!

Edit: I'm an international student from China at UC Berkeley so thats why the first year thing is significant. My first year among foreign people and I'm loving it!

You're welcome. The cloth bit is simple and effective, rattles and other random noises bug me sometimes. Quiet is good for the soul.

Electricity is fun and given a little respect in the right places safe and useful. You know the "magic smoke' theory of electricity/electronic parts? The work because of magic smoke inside you see. If some thing happens and the magic smoke gets out, it doesn't work any more........

Lots of folks don't seem to fit traditional '8 hours every night' (and the same 8). Others get that biorhythm thing going and suffer jet lag and other nonsense when disturbed. A shift change can make some literally sick. Did you know Edison is widely held to have run 20 plus years on an average 2 hours sleep a day? Used to take cat naps when the urge came on a handy cot. The guy was kind of a tyrant anyway it seems but can you imagine working for a serious type A boss who not only slept at work but was guaranteed to be around the shop anytime you were?

I too find it best as I get older to eat when hungry, sleep when tired and not let the clock make up my routine (I stopped wearing a watch when I retired, it's very liberating in a way......tool of the devil, watches).

Regards,

OF

You know I'll probably get into trouble for this one, pick up some extra time in Purgatory perhaps, but I just can't get the thought of the second or third best one liner of all time out of my head. You brought it to mind with the above, so I figure it's your fault.....

It's attributed to Marlena Dietrich. Seems as the Priest went by, swinging his incense burner, she leaned over the rail and in a stage whisper loud enough to be clearly heard in the Choir Loft sad, "Darling, I love your gown, but your purse is on fire....".

I got the orbiter 2 weeks ago and I like it a lot, but it's my first water item ever so I can't compare. It boosts the already good taste with the MFLB even further and the bubbles are fun to watch. And it smoothes the vapor so it prevents getting a burned throat feeling from vaping.

The look of the bubbler itself is awesome, it suits just perfect besides the launch box.

Good to know. Might need to get an orbiter down the line.
