On cleaning the orbiter bubbler, I find warming it up a little in front of a space heater then doing an iso swish is the easiest way to clean it. The tubing it a bit more tricky, I had a party whip I cleaned with iso that now all disgustingly sticky so if anyone has suggestions on how to clean...

Excellent idea, but be VERY careful with ISO around space heaters and such stuff. We use it casually and get 'comfortable' doing so, but splashing some on a space heater (say if you 'swish' it too hard, shake and have a cork come out, drop it, whatever) is the very way you get into the local news, meet some Fire Fighters, and get to look for a new place to live.......if you're lucky enough not to get a chance to test Obamacare emergency services first hand.

There is an important "flash point" (room temperature) above which you have to worry about a spark causing a fire, but there's also the "autoignition point", about 750F, at which case the liquid basically explodes.....on it's own, no spark needed. That's soldering iron hot, glowing stuff is much hotter.

Splash ISO on glowing stuff and it's probably too late to duck. Stay safe. You can't enjoy your vape if it gets burnt up with your stash and the rest of your gear.

Yes, but I've hope it will work out fine because of the already mixed herbs in the package.

Feelin Fine has 3 Herbs in it namely:
Damiana (released at 180-190°C)
Lemon Balm (released at 170-190°C)
Peppermint (released at 130°C)

So unless the whole blend isn't jeopardized by itself through its components, i hardly believe mixing another 150-220°C active component in will do so.
Only thing I could imagine is that the Peppermint taste wears off quicker then the others because of the exceeded boiling temp.

Excited to find out.
Mmmm you all are reminding me of other things to try. Im so congested maybe i should try the peppermint and spearmint i have on hand.

Oh boy, should really have clarified. I meant heating it up to above room temp and then using iso. If it were the other way around the iso would just evaporate leaving it even harder to clean.

Not to worry, I'm just reminding folks of the 'hidden' danger. Part of the 'let's keep each other safe' campaign.

No problem heating the liquid some (chemical action tends to track temperature......which is why you wash whites in hot water......). Before or after. Many guys ISO clean in baggies which are floated in a bowl of hot water (I use the hot water from the kitchen tap sometimes). Heating increases the ability (and rate) of the solvent dissolving the ugly stuff.

While I'm a big fan of detergents (or other alternatives) over ISO when possible, I too use ISO routinely. I guess I don't see how it can make things worse. Junk dissolved in ISO that get deposited when it evaporates (the parts don't 'rinse clean') can by definition be just as easily redissolved for another go.

Just remember the stuff burns too, and violently under the wrong conditions.

Ya gotta stay safe to enjoy your MFLB you know?

It's ironic because I was just vaping a trench of kief in my mflb through my orbiter as you wrote that and now my mflb requires a thorough iso brushing.

You must be pretty new around here. Us 'old hands' know better than to let a clever vape (like MFLB) have Internet access.

Like kids at school, that's where they pick up bad ideas.

Next time switch back to porn before vaping. Like the rest of us.

What? You've got to chill man.
It's strictly humor, man. The gist of what he's saying is the LB needs you to keep an eye on it, since you mentioned vaping kief and then needing to clean your LB (did you combust?). It might come off as teasing but it's not. If he's trying to vote you off the island, then you'll need to call Houston

Now that I have enough bud for a while again I loaded my LB with some Skunk #1/Earth OG kief :D

Oooh, those little nuances tend to get lost in writing. I didn't combust, the trench was just a bit sticky which made clumping a problem, requiring a brushing. Feeling an odd need to have to explain myself. :p

I fetched my magic flight order today, happy to see every item in a solid state. Throw a quick look on the orbiter, gorgeous. Exited to try it later today.

The dart stems are hot stuff, too. Got a maple and a walnut one. (i approved myself the need of walnut backup box with it )
They are both very different, the maple being more on the bulky side and the walnut smaller and more elegant. Only tried the maple one yet and I like it. The tail of the stem fits easy on the lips and I feel I make little more relaxed expression while drawing then with a round stem.

Now to the herbal blend "feelin fine".
First thing I noticed while opening was the intense smell of the peppermint, very aromatic. As a first approach I wanted to use the herbs as I would with the casual material. Scaled 0.2g, prepared it with the finishing grinder and found the same looking trench as usual. I let the freshly juiced battery pre heat 5 seconds, slow-draw 5 seconds, release battery and suck the remaining vapor up. This I can usually repeat up to 18 times, with the feelin fine loaded i noticed a slightly fewer hits.
The first 4 draws let you taste the peppermint extremly and a refreshing layer of mint lays on your throat with very little amounts of vapor, lot lesser then used to be.
Draws 5-12 start to produce more vapor, but not as much as usually at this time. The taste alternates from the peppermint to the lemon balm side, though the peppermint stays present the whole time. Maybe placebo but I really feel a little warm and calm in a very slight manner.
The draws 13-16 rapidly decrease in vapor and taste, though slightly present.
Draws 17-30 didn't produce any vapor and only a slight taste, could be present in the mouth also.
Needed 45 minutes to vape through.

In terms of taste I don't know how the Damiana tastes solely but the overall taste i would describe as peppermint dominant, slowly morphing into lemon balm. I think I like the taste, the cooling effect on the throat lasts about 30 minutes. It's a nice taste but very present, just like mint. I guess it will not fit with all combinations of drink or food alongside.

I was curious about the obvious and grabbed a bag of peppermint tea, ripped it open and poured some into the blank trench. It needed 20 seconds of heating to create any vapor and the taste wasn't as pleasant, but the idea of the dominant peppermint-taste is compareable. So, if you're still unsure if you would like it, don't do the same as me, cause I am an idiot and have no clue if there is any danger in vaping something which isn't meant for it. :haw:

Made another trench of feelin fine and vaped it in 16 draws within 30 minutes, same experience as before. Feel no need to go further through the trench.
Will split a common herb trench in four sizes next and mix it in four different ratios:
1:10 for having a "used to be two draws" calm effect after a whole trench
1:5 to stay nicely baked over an evening
3:10 to try getting three calm sessions with one trench
1:2.5 to get baked with a mate

Will report back when I've done so, will take a few days though.
Hope this whole mess is reasonable and could give a clue about what to expect.

Excuse me for now, will take a shower and dress up fancy, got a first-time date with a bubbler tonight. :science:

My first date with the orbiter was a special one, it has literally knocked me out and left me a little confused and with a glimpse...

The first impression was a bit edgy, the glass has two little faults, a scratch and an edged opening, and it needed a bit of adjustment at the construction. The whips are a little bit sticky and are real dust catchers.
As it was my first contact with water in terms of vaping I was quite nervous to treat the bubbler as it deserves, made a few dry straws, then a few with warm water and then I felt ready for the real deal.

Approached the first hits with my common technique (5 sec pre heat, 5 sec heated draws, sucking up without battery) and was questioning my senses as i noticed the flavor explosion. Really tasty and even more pronounced and amplified then the usual stem hitting. As I enjoyed the bubbles and was so happy with the easy usage, I messed up the finger counting for the hits as the second hand entered the game...I drifted slowly into the haze...

So far I am really impressed, I didn't expected anything and was blown away by the taste. It's easy to use and the lifetime warranty is awesome.

The only real letdown are the sticky whips, any suggestions?

Greetings,
horst

Hey all :). Im wondering is it ok to poke a few extra holes in the battery caps? Mine are miserable to get off with my arthritis and that one little air hole doesnt seem to be enough to break the suction.

How long do the glyth batteries hold a charge? Like, if I fully charged a battery and did not use it at all, how would it be before I needed to charge it again so it had a decent amount of power?
I know about LSD and HSD, however the description on the Magic Flight website states that they are "between LSD and HSD".

Someone who has used it longer can give you a better estimate but for me taking little mini hits a few times a day i still had a charge on the same battery 3 days in. Im a super light medicater though. I havent used it in 2 days so i dont know about how much chatge they have on them now.

Does anyone know what a full trench equal in .grams? Assuming the weed is relatively dry and well ground.

Or ditch the vinyl caps and use a couple caps from 'Chapstick' lip balm (or similar). They are harder plastic, a bit larger and designed to easily sip on and off (rather than designed to hang on like the vinyl caps are).

My 'standard load' is 1/8 gram. I usually weigh out a dozen or more at a time (into small vials) holding .120 to .130 grams.
