Shut Up Little Man

IDK if it's still on Netflix, I hope so. It's pretty interesting, wacky, and funny. It's about some dudes that recorded their neighbors fighting. This one old guy kept yelling "SHUT UP, LITTLE MAN!" It's pretty great, I would recommend it to anyone.

Also, there's this program from Discovery called Sunrise Alaska. It's just cinematic scenery, no voiceovers, just nature and its sounds. Pretty great to relax to and vape. I think there's like 8 episodes. Sometimes you get to hang out with bears.

This weekend I watched 'Best Man down', which I had never heard of. It is not a rom-com, more of an indie drama. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it a lot.

I was just thinking of watching this movie.. I guess I'll give it a shot.. I was hesitant since reviews said they over did it on the long pointless cut-scenes, and that it made the movie drag on pointlessly longer than it needed..

Please let me know if you like it. It sounds very atmospheric, but I enjoy slow burn movies. It's next on my queue, after The Croupier with Clive Owen. But tonight is dark comedy, God Bless America:

Disgusted with American society, middle-aged Frank and teenage Roxy begin killing reality TV stars, bigots and others they find repugnant.

@syrupy, Limits of Control sucked IMO, and it could half been at least half as short.. Not a movie for me.. I feel like I wasted 2 hours... I had a feeling I wasn't gonna like it LOL.. I was hoping you had already seen it when I saw your post haha

That's too bad. Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like it's no Ghost Dog.

Saw the movie Bronson last night starring Tom Hardy. Interesting character study based on the exploits of a notorious criminal in Britain who bucks the system at every turn, and how the penal system was unprepared to deal with him. Was he insane or just an anarchist? I give is 3 stars. Lots of fisticuffs and Hardy showing off his Bane-like body in the buff. Dark depressing and entertaining look at human viciousness.

I just saw Resident Evil: Retribution.
It was not as good as the previous installment of this series,
but it previewed that upcoming in the next installment is zombie dragons!
I can't get the spoiler thing to work.

Dirty Wars (2013). the film is clearly trying to convey a perspective yet there is quite a bit of evidence to keep you thinking about what you saw and heard, least with me.

Today's selection from the Independent section of Netflix: John Dies at the End (2013). Psychic powers, designer drugs, inter-dimensional traveling... this one has a lot going on under the hood. Not for everyone, and different enough it has a shot at being a cult classic down the road. High body count, but a fun flick that doesn't take itself too seriously. I give is 3/5 stars.

Just started Mad Men on Netflix.
One word can sum up this show----SMOKING.:spliff:(and marital infidelity a close second)

My lord, do these people smoke. They smoke :spliff:in the hospital, :spliff:in bed, :spliff:in the office, :spliff:WHILE eating dinner, :spliff:etc.:spliff:
I faintly remember mass smoking in every place imaginable growing up:spliff:. But that was a long time ago, and I was young. With all the measures USA has taken to cut smoking, and it seems to be the minority now, the contrast of it in the show amazes me. Also, most men were "dicks" back then. I would not have been a good 50's-60's guy. FFS, did any men know how to take care of themselves without the doting of their mothers wives? My favorite is Peggy Olson, best character on the show, imo. I liked Don Draper's business/marketing savvy, but DO NOT like him as a person at all.
