I gotta say the new steam controllers look intriguing,
the joystick always goes first for me with the ps3 controllers.

I've been playing EVE Online since 2009 (with a little break every now and then). Best mmorpg hands down, with so much to do and a great community.

I got Thief for PS4 and it's alright, but not as good as I was expecting. Disappointing. :\
I am playing Thief on PS4 also and I agree. A little disappointing. Assassins Creed on PS4 is ok too. There is an app that allows you to have a tablet to use as a second screen. As a map, inventory, check objectives etc. Map tracks you in real time. That seems to be the biggest innovation that I have seen on PS4 so far. There seems to be a lack of games for PS4 which is dissapointing. :hmm:

I haven't been following these controllers but have read about them and wow! That looks great, and it should definitely improve some PC games. Now's the time for me to finally pick up a controller as I'm transferring my PC to a sff case that can fit in my entertainment center.

Not mine, but mine will have a GPU that's about the same size and a custom CPU loop with 240mm radiator :freak: Let's hope it all fits; just waiting on my motherboard, power supply and smaller fittings to get here.

Then I've gotta find a way to squeeze a home made VVPS into this case for my UD :science:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Been a die hard cs fan since the early betas.

I like to dust off CS:GO for a game every now and then but I've mainly played the casual mode as I'm not normally up for the commitment of playing a full competitive game(is that what it's called? You know the one where you have to play like 15 rounds or something). In fact I haven't even got enough games under my belt to be ranked. Sadly, my skills are woefully lacking.

What do you guys think about Titanfall? I'm considering picking this one up

I haven't bought a COD game for what seems like 10 years, I've had a few games here and there on friend's consoles and enjoyed it but it's just not something I've wanted to put a lot of time into. I was in on the beta of Titanfall, like I said before, and I purchased it for PC on release day.

I put quite a few hours into it the first week and I'm still going back for a little game every so often. I tend to play for about an hour or so each gaming session and I'm still having a lot of fun even though I get absolutely scudded most of the time. Overall I'd recommend it to most people who like fast paced gaming and if you're into FPS games then it's probably a must have.

Batman Arkham Origins

I've only played the second game, Arkham City. Not normally my type of game but I saw it was being offered cheap in a steam sale so I decided to try it out. I thought it was quite good, I particularly liked the Riddler challenges but then again I'm into puzzle games so that probably makes sense. Even though they weren't exactly the most intellectually taxing puzzles, trying to get the timing right was fun.

Speaking of which, if anyone is into puzzle games then I'd suggest looking at a game called Rush. I've sunk a fair few hours into it and I enjoyed it immensely. Another one I'd recommend is "English Country Tune", it's quite short so getting the demo first to see if you like it would be a good idea. It's also available on the iPhone/iPad for a few dollars so if you'd prefer to have it on something more mobile then that would be a viable option, although a friend told me that the control system on the PC is a little easier to use but he still played it all the way through so it couldn't have been that much of an obstacle.

If I remember correctly I picked it up as part of a Humble Bundle so I certainly feel I got my money's worth. I'm sure quite a few of you already know about this but for those PC gamers that don't, I'd definitely advise you to get signed up for updates from Humble Bundle. They regularly sell different bundles of games at insanely low prices, the best part is that the developers of those games select a charity that a portion of the proceeds go to. You can even choose how your payment gets split between the developers, the charity and Humble Bundle itself. This means if you think it's a particularly worthwhile cause and want all the money to go to the chosen charity then you have that option available which I personally think is a great system.

Most of the time they run two different bundles, the main bundle which changes every month and a weekly bundle that rather unsurprisingly changes every week. They also have a store which sells individual games which is worth checking out to see what's on offer but the savings generally aren't as large as with the bundles. Every now and then they sell mobile game bundles (Android I think, they do state what platforms they run on in the sales) and there is also the odd eBook bundle available as well. As you can most likely tell, I've got a lot of love for these guys so check them out if you haven't already. The current bundles aren't that great IMO but trust me, they quite often have some absolute rippers.

Edit:

@Dangus If you like Arma 3 and Day Z then it might be worth you taking a look at the "Breaking Point" mod for Arma 3. It's zombie survival mod that although is in early stages shows some promise.

@DieHard Speaking of Ipad interaction in PC/Console games, I'm guessing you've seen a game called "Watch Dogs" that is out later this year. I just thought I'd mention it because I remember a while back they were saying that they wanted to make it so that you could have a friend on the iPad/iPhone assisting you by hacking various things in the game like cameras and pop up bollards. It was at last year's E3 that they were talking about that so who knows if it's still planned to be part of the game. Also I believe Battlefield 4 gives you the option of using an iPad as the commander but I don't have the game so @tuk would probably have a better idea than I have of how that works.

I picked up Trine for $5 on Amazon after playing Trine 2 on my friend's PS4.

Its a great puzzle action platformer where you switch between 3 characters with unique abilities (mage, thief, knight) to navigate the level. For $5 I highly recommend this one if you're into casual games

I'm playing infamous second son on the ps4 right now.

I'm liking the new powers, but there is 1 thing that's been bugging me ever so slightly - the climbing mechanics.
In the first 2, I remember the climbing feeling more fluid, whereas with second son it feels a bit underdeveloped.
The powers do have ways of getting you to the top of buildings without climbing now, so I suspect that's why the climbing didn't receive as much attention, but it's a little thing that takes away from the immersion just a little bit for me...

I'm loving the rest of the gameplay though, just unlocked the 2nd power and I'm having fun using it to dash all across the city :D

Hitman Absolution. It is free this week on Xbox Gold, so for the price of free it was worth a try.

Lately though I've been digging Age of Empire 2 again, now that Steam offers an HD version of it and has servers for online play. They are doing an HD remake of Age of Mythology too! My childhood RTS games are comin' back.

My cousin already finished the story. The third power you get is my favourite by FAR. At least for mobility.

Its been far too long since I've played. Instead my nights are spent on programming homework :(

When I do play its Xbox One for me, been switching it up between Battlefield 4, Madden 25 and Assassins Creed Black Flag. Planning on getting Watch Dogs when it comes out. Looks badass!

I had to get rid of my xbox recently. I would have played some chell with you :(

As for myself I've been playing SMITE for PC. It's a a lot like league except it is from a 3rd person POV. Very fun, it just came out of beta 2 weeks ago!

Not mine haha. I just found a dope picture hopefully to inspire someone to play it! Seems like it worked!

I have a few of my own spacestations but they arent that epic yet. I find trying to dock with spacestation in orbit to be a mission and a half! The new .235 patch is out now, with new parts and astroids!

I play a good amount of league, also getting into path of exile recently. Mostly play steam games, I just have a laptop so I cant run anything super high end. Was thinking of picking up Kerbal space program while its on sale. I mostly just browse the sales and pick up stuff that way

I've been on this for the last few days. The controls are clunky and it is very buggy, but I absolutely love the game. I hear Breaking Point mod for Arma 3 is a good game as well.

Hey @klipsch, I've played Breaking Point and I thought it was quite good. The zombies are a lot better than the ones in DayZ IMO. I recommend checking out the "Battle Royale" mod for ArmA 3. If you've seen the film then you pretty much know what to expect.

At the start 32 players parachute down onto the small island, Stratis. You have to find a weapons and equipment in the typical DayZ loot style. After about 10 minutes random bombing zones are shown on the map that you have to avoid, then after a bit longer all the survivors have to make sure they're in a zone that is shown on the map which gets smaller every 5 minutes or so. I've had a lot of fun with it and considering the rounds are about 30 minutes long it's no way near as frustrating when you die as it is in DayZ.
