Hi, I have a few vapes for dry herb already ( Pax, MFLB, Vapir no2), and i just purchased an e-cigarette the other day. As i was buying it, the salesperson mentioned something about using e-cigs for vaping hash oil. Naturally, when i got home i had to do some research on it. I've been reading through forums for the last few days, and i was pretty set on getting one of the Gentleman's brand 'Hash Oil Atomizer V2', but i was really turned off by the poor (or should i say lack of) customer service i received. So for now, i'm looking for an atomizer/cartomizer that does a good job of vaporizing concentrates like bho or wax, etc. Also, if someone could explain to me the difference between atomizers and cartomizers that'd be really cool.

If it helps, this is the battery i have: http://www.vapor123.com/vapor123-acc...tery-p-89.html

Thanks a lot :)
Is that cartridge reusable? And also, just out of curiosity, do you know if something like this would give off much of a smell?

Any cartridge based system like these have a limited life span. The omicron carts will do 1+ grams how much plus is up to you and how you operate the system.

I do find the carts mouthpiece smells a bit after a while I keep mine in a doob tube when not in use and stealth is a factor. The tubes are also available on PlanetVape for a dollar and some change.

Another option would be kanger carts with horizontal coils...cost like 6dollars for five of them.

I know there are lots of people doubting this 'cheap'setup, but they have been working really fine for me. That is, the first one I ever started using about six months ago is still up and running, probabl into it's fifth gram of oil.

You can find a bit more info on the kanger carts on the forum.

Only ever so sligthly a little bit of oil will leak on the buttom, but I really cannot stress enough that this is very little if ever.

I have not tried the omnicron options myself, so I am in no way dissing them. They might work better, just trying to let you know bit more options...:2c:

Thanks guys. Tepictoton You're actually not the first person i've heard recommend the kanger carts, i'll look into them. Just out of curiosity does anyone know if theres any way i could get some kind of atomizer that would work with flowers?

Bumping this...

I'm looking for some higher quality atties for my ego twist. I like Shatter, what works best?

We are kinda on the same page. I need an ati/cart for my vision spinner. I prefer BHO/budder and am looking for something I do not have to refill throughout the day but still provides solid vapes.

thanks.

I went out and bought two pens, the Omicron Lite and a DIY pen that I put together at a local ecig store. The DIY pen consists of a "Ego Twist" with "Cloupor Cloutank M2".

My initial response is that the Omicron was a waste of money. The Omicron had a broken cartridge right out of the box and it hits soft...
My advice, go to a local ecig store or head shop and buy a "Ego Twist". OR something with a 510 thread and *variable voltage. This part is really just a battery....From there you can buy your cartridges and most will fit a 510 thread...I went with the "Cloutank M2" and it hits like a CANNON!

*I am very new to this. I only have had the Omicron for a matter of hours but it doesn't even compete with the pen I made. It's really all about the cartridge and the Cloutank M2 is what makes my pen hit the hardest.

Thanks for the the info. Luckily I have the battery, the vision spinner is exactly like the ego twist.

That Cloutank M2 looks pretty badass. How big is the chamber, can it hold more than a dab? I am also looking into the M3 as it appears to have a larger chamber designed to hold herb, but the kit also includes a wax atomizer.

Guys, the best atomizer I ever bought, after purchasing at least 5 other well known brands is the 3.7V titanium KISS carts. Best flavor, best durability, and best in terms of cleaning (very important). You would need a 510 to 601 screw adapter if ur using 510 ecigs. All available at planet vape.

You can get higher p3rformance cartridges for the omicron. Go from 2.4 ohms to 1.5 ohms. Still I think the Ti Kiss carts are the best.

I got the titanium kiss carts with my omicron and I have mixed feelings. I ordered two and one was broken out of the box, the second has a heating element that is shifted to one side of the atomizer which causes it to heat unevenly enough to make it basically useless.

BUT

I will say that the hits I get out of the semi-functioning KISS cart are great. The taste is bomb and it hits hard...but not as hard as the Cloutank M2!

Theres a 7.4v version as well. You should also contact them about the non functioning one.

I saw in the Classifieds that another menber is selling Micro-vaped Skillet attys (similar to DrDabber and Dabbler), what do you think of Skillet products?
They have in store a jumbo atty, it look nice, if it works and if it is well built......

So I just got back from the local vape shop that recently opened near me. They apparently stock the Cloutank M3:

http://www.cloupor.com/Cloutank-M3-Dry-herb-vaporizer-pen-wholesale

It's supposed to be great for concentrates, even though it is primarily advertised for dry herb. I'll be heading back Monday once their next shipment arrives and will provide a review shortly thereafter. I also plan to get a 710 to 510 adapter in order to use an Atmos chamber on my spinner. My Atmos Jr. is an impressive discreet/compact vaporizer despite the lower battery capacity - great for travel. The heating chamber (notice the pancake style coil which sits flush with the ceramic chamber):

http://www.atmosrx.com/Spare-Parts-RX/Atmos-Junior-Heating-Chamber/flypage.tpl.html#psp1558

performs very well. I've had the same chamber for a couple of months and its finally time for a new one. Multiple grams of quality BHO have been vaped with no cleaning. I will try soaking it in alcohol once I get a replacement. I am also looking into other Atmos chambers, for instance:

http://www.atmosrx.com/All-Cartridges/510-/-Atmos-F5-Cartridge/flypage.tpl.html

BTW I got my hands on a gentleman's brand v2 atomizer and its a waste IMO. Appears to be nothing special design-wise and priming is necessary; youll easily lose close to .5 gr. Ive come to appreciate designs that do NOT have a raised coil. I feel too much concentrate tends to become trapped/wasted under the coil. I think that void, filled with a pool of oil, generally reduces the overall heating efficiency of the atomizer and chamber.

Where can I get one, cause I only found a wholesale place where to buy it (mini order is 20 pieces)?

Call some head shops or ecig shops. If no avail order online.

Damn...I ordered one of those Gentleman's bc my Omicron titanium KISS carts were both garbage and don't work. I'm waiting for one replacement titanium KISS cart, which is BS because they sent me two bad carts yet they are only replacing one...

The Gentleman's MegaV2 arrives Monday. I hope I'm not as disappointed as you, I have read great reviews. The Cloutank is hands down the best for using at home but I need something more stealth when mobile. Between dropping $$ on the Gentleman's v2 and the KISS carts something has to work...fingers crossed on the V2 working out.

I had tried many vaporizers for oil, and the only one that's fine is UP Tech.
The best is the Persei + Hercules SR74
The Kiss cart is good too, but buy only the 3.7V (many broke with the 7.4V)

All others vapes burn oil (and herbs) : :uhoh::mad:

UP Tech let me down...both 3.7v ti-KISS carts I ordered don't work. One was DOA and the other burns less than half the cart. I have read great things about their Herc and I found people putting it on the omicron-lite which is what I have. I almost dropped $300 on the Persei + Hercules...I'm glad I didn't.

Ah you're getting the MegaV2, the chamber I should have ordered. I made the mistake of getting these:

http://www.gentlemansvapes.com/products/hash-oil-atomizer

I decided to give one a shot and primed it with some reclaimed oil from my rig. Packed a bit of my bho and got a decent hit however, it burned a hole through the middle of the budder. Right now I have a layer of wax surrounding the coil and stuck to the sides of the chamber; it doesn't seem to get hot enough to really bake and heat the chamber. Im using it on my spinner set to 4 volts.

Here is a comparison pic I found:

and a link to the original post:

http://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/1v2wd2/what_type_of_element_does_the_gentlemans_v2_mega/

By the look of that picture it appears you will have to prime the MegaV2 just like the original V2. Keep in mind that the coil is raised and is positioned about half-way up the chamber. There is a void under the coil which will trap oil, absorb heat, and reduce the overall performance of the atomizer (What is with all that extra shit around the coil anyway? - it all reduces performance). I also do not like that coil style, too small and compact. I definitely prefer the flat pancake style:

raw-junior-chamber.jpg

That's the Atmos Jr atomizer. Notice how the coil sits flush with the ceramic chamber, I believe this design provides superior performance. If you want something portable and discreet, that's what I recommend. Best atomizer I've used to date.

After comparing those two pictures...which would you rather use?

Will the Atmos Jr atomizer fit a 510 thread? What voltage? I have a ego twist.

I' not sure of the resistance of the Atmos Jr. atomizer. I'd like to say its around 2 ohms and can probably handle up to 4 volts (your Ego twist with variable voltage should have no compatibility issues). The only difference is the threading and adapters are available:

http://www.atmosrx.com/All-Accessor...-Atmos-/-Atmos-to-510-thread/flypage.tpl.html

I'm planning to get a 510/Ego to 710/Atmos adapter so I can use Atmos chambers on my Vision Spinner. That's the same adapter you would buy to use on your Ego Twist (spinners and twists are comparable).
