Whats up,

Anyone have any recommendations for the best portable vaporizer to get?
Throwing price out of the issue, I'm just looking for a great PORTABLE vape that will do the job.
I currently own the arizer solo and I love it, but want to get a vape that I can just hit, throw in my pocket and be good to go. I've heard much about the PAX and it seems to be the best choice since its so portable but I figured I better ask around a bit before I throw out some money.

Thanks!

Hammer? (Starts at 3:00) Great inexpensive butane vape with a clean taste and desktop like hits. I wouldn't find the PAX to be an improvement besides its small form factor.

To meet your criteria of "that I can just hit, throw in my pocket and be good to go" would suggest either the Firefly or FlashVape.

The Pax will continue to cook your herb after you turn it off, as will most portables. The MFLB fits your criteria since it heats up and cools down almost instantaneously and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

The Flashvape won't fit in any pocket but the FF probably will and it is more efficient, tastier than the Pax. Not so small though and need to be close to a plug as the battery doesn't last more than 3-6 loads. It depends on your routines actually, your lifestyle.

My cera is my go to for that type of vape. It's a little heavy but I carry a bunch of stuff in my pockets anyway so it isn't that big of a deal for me. it gives excellent thick tasty vapor on demand. I haven't tried the FF but from what I've read, that is probably a contender also.

For your needs I would reccomebd the Pax. I have one and could be considered bias but who isn't on this site. As far as portability and discreetness the Pax is second to none. It really is one of the only vapes that is truely portable and produces goodquality vapor. The battery life is goof and the warranty is amazing. I'd explore all the suggesions on this site though as there are more experienced memebers than myself. Good luck happy hunting

While there is some bias here, I'd have to say that there is less bias here than at most any other site that I have ever visited. Most here own multiple vapes and generally, will not recommend the only vape that they own for everyone.

I was thinking biased in the sense we all have personal preferences to vapes. I'd agree that this site seems to have a loyal, informed user base.

I see a half dozen or so members making suggestions. Do you plan to participate in your thread or should we consider it to be abandoned?

Do abandoned threads get closed? Couldn't they remain valuable to otherswith similar questions.

OH COME ON NOW, YOU KNOW THE VAPES THAT I AM CURENTLY DRIVING ARE THE BEST !!

:smug:
Since his collection is similar to mine I have to agree, he doesn't display the Hammer but its in that BEST list.

Abandoned threads get moved to ABV you can search and find them if you have your own question start a new thread, even mention the ABV thread that would be related if you want.

Your point being....
You could easily read and see that most people give the same suggestions, or just figure out what are options without creating a thread.

But I'm not le ween, so maybe that wasn't his point.

EDIT:
Also the point of FC to give to out good information and keep it consistent on what is true or not, it's not very beneficial for us to take time answering questions for people who aren't going to even respond back once. And it's a waste of a thread.

'What vape should I buy' threads are mostly what Ask FC is for. Some threads of general interest stay open, but one about which vape to buy just eventually ends up as a general discussion about various models, or goes even more off topic, often with good info getting lost in threads that most will never read. They're moved to the archives (ABV). The info is still there for anyone to read.

I would think the mission of FC is pretty clear. However, it is rather likely the user created the thread got advice and made a purchase. Chances are they just don't feel the need to let anyone know or thank anyone. But if your goal is to help someone then you have done your job. No one would make a thread then ignore the opinions completely.....and that's obvious

It's also obvious many people make their own threads to avoid reading through long threads that already exist. So, you shouldn't have to worry if a thread goes off topic or what not

Uncle Tito some people open an account and start a thread asking a question, posting once. Then never log back onto FC.

While I agree with your first statement, I don't understand your conclusion with your second statement.

I take threads off topic a lot, mostly because I either want to add a bit of levity, or my randomness takes over but I surely support the idea of the mods at least trying to keep all threads on topic when it begins to stray too far off the beaten path.

No one would make a thread then ignore the opinions completely.....and that's obvious.

No one? Obvious? Not to me. I've seen people open up a thread and ask for opinions and then they come back a few days later stating that they got a vape that no one in the thread suggested. (hmmm..........maybe I'm confusing "opinions" with "advice".)

Because people are too lazy to read and just make their own threads it doesn't matter if the thread goes off topic. A finite amount of people actively observe all the opinions and take away knowledge from any single thread. Then the thread is replaced as someone asks a similiar question and a finite number of people payattention and learn from that particular thread. Orginal threads about any well know vape are always hundreds of pages that date way back and the current posts always pertain to an off point discussion. Original threads become too long and lose their value as a source of useful information. So......if you really want to spread objective opinions you will find your self repeating the same advice or opinions in all developing threads(which many users do.) So if a thread goes off topic then most people have most likely stopped paying attention to it......informative threads about any vape are used for a small amount of time and are replaced. Thats kind of how these online communities work......

The current posts of older threads do NOT always pertain to an off point discussion. If you take the time to read through these threads, you will see that there are peaks and valleys in regards to on topic versus off topic comments. Yes, many times a thread will go off topic but that can happen with very young threads as well. Your comment that current posts in old threads ALWAYS pertain to an off point discussion is not accurate for there are many current posts in those threads that are totally on point.

Original threads become too long and lose their value as a source of useful information.

That general statement is not accurate either as there are many, including myself, that have read through these long threads and found them VERY valuable, especially when either considering the purchase of a new vape, or reading though them to pick up user tips while waiting for their vape to arrive in the mail.

While it's true that many find those long threads cumbersome, there are many who not only find them useful, but invaluable as well. I know I did before I bought my Purple Days and LSV.

Thanks for the education, however, we may just have our way of doing things here, so please keep in mind that all forums aren't managed in the same way.
