I wonder if it would be possible to remove the wooden sleeve, and glue and clamp the crack shut.
It might work without removing the sleeve.. If the sleeve were removed and repair done, it may be smaller than before, and will not accept the core back inside.
Cant he mix some PH sawdust in with some glue or epoxy and use that to spackle the thing closed? I remember that technique from wood working class wayyyyyyyyyy back when. If you get the ratio of sawdust right it even blends in perfectly with the color.
I have had good luck with log vapes using 2 substances for "body work"
I have used JB weld in very ugly circumstances. It will always be visible as a foreign substance, but works VERY well.
For minor repairs that do not affect the way the unit holds the core, I use regular old wood putty!

My Nano is here!

I didn't realize how this vape is small and powerfull!

First bowl, 0.1 or less, setting at 7, preheat 5mn and BOUM my bubbler was fully milked (I was afraid to combust cause it was so much milky) and my head was fully medicated!

Thanks a lot to Andy to offer me upgrading, the nano is better for me it produces bigger clouds and faster extraction than my previous ev-2 (I sent it back to Andy).

I can't speak about the flavor cause I'm a little bit sick and I can't smell anything...

The problem now is to find time and need to use my Cloud+ since the nano get so much power... and the size! it's like the old computer's screens inside of the last flat screens....

Now I need to test concentrates!

Indeed! However I was trying to figure out a way for him to be able to match his PH wood.

Mine's here as well :D

(Many many) thanks to a nice artiodactyl and fc member I'm a very very happy Nano owner now too.

Trying to keep it short and non repetitive as it all has been said many times, but this thing is solid, tiny and simple while being super sexy with its nicely done woodwork and hot bottom.

My first experience was like the above: heated up on 10, sucked in 0,1, dialed back to 7 and after another 2mins I got 1-2 big ass full convection clouds that weren't harsh at all and tasting well out of the direct draw. Full extraction can be done in seconds for a tiny load, so it can be used like a bong, all I wanted in a home vaporizer. Super happy.

--

..so what follows is no critics but me being a bit confused and amidoingthisrightish here and there before and during my first usage.. and yes I thought I had read the thread ^^

First thing: got two standard direct draw pinches with it.. like mentioned before they vary a bit in size and thickness.. the smaller one had no resistance when putting on while the bigger one could only be put in the right place in a special position and using some force. As it looked more massive I tried this one first.

There's a basket screen in every part incl the two GonGs I have with the basket part facing the mouth/bong side.. so I guessed I wouldn't need another screen but wanted to to narrow it down/give the herb more resistance, as I was worried about how the material wouldn't fall down into the heating element, so I put another one in, basket part facing the heater.. at first I was putting it all down to the screen already put in - and I had this perfect one hit at 7, and it felt like being fully extracted. But the material was only very light brown, so stirred and tried again, dialing up to 10 in the end. But couldnt get any more out of it and the color remained mainly the same and no combustion at all.
Came to the conclusion that I could place the screen closer to the heater as I've read sth like that here.. but before I came to this, my first direct draw glass piece just broke in parts when I wanted to remove it from the heater...ooops. Guess that one was a little too tight from the beginning..

Ok, so second glass piece with the second basket screen as low to the heater as it goes, and again cranked up to ten.. harsh clouds here, but the abv is just as dark brown as it's always in my Ascent.. close to but not burnt. omg I cant combust am I doing something wrong haha. Nah just worrying a little bit if its enough for hard hash.. also my dial stops at 9,8, but well guess that's just build tolerance, but what I also noticed: the turning on click starts at 1,5 and turning of at 0,5.. thats normal too?!
(screen and dialer position, broken glass + darkest abv can be seen in pic)

Thought I had more question marks but cant remember right now and this already took too long..

Congratulations my friend
Didn't I told you FC and the guys here are awesome!!!!?

Seems now we are two here in Merkelland, huh?
I got mine already 5 weeks ago, just had no time to do a review.:disgust:

First of all I have to thank Vakedcow and Dafni :clap::rockon:- Thank you guys !!!

Well, the nano is a very very nice little machine and worth every cent, well done Andy!
I love it. It's small (in a good way), efficient, looks beautiful, is easy to use, heats up very fast, you can blow clouds like crazy if you want to and the taste is superior, I really love it!

The only little thing whats a bit annoying sometimes is the place of the dimmer,
but that could be changed if its getting too worse.

"First thing: got two standard direct draw pinches with it.. like mentioned before they vary a bit in size and thickness.. the smaller one had no resistance when putting on while the bigger one could only be put in the right place in a special position and using some force. I just got one all glass stem and all glass gong, just like I ordered, both fit snuggly without any force or twisting! Maybe the new glass parts will be more equally?

"Ok, so second glass piece with the second basket screen as low to the heater as it goes, and again cranked up to ten.. harsh clouds here, but the abv is just as dark brown as it's always in my Ascent.. close to but not burnt. omg I cant combust am I doing something wrong haha. My dimmer works the same like yours, I dont worry about its starting on 1,5 and turning of at 0,5:shrug:
not really the temps we need here!

Happy nanoing :tup:;pd;:brow::o:ko::rofl:

Yea about that... het guys, if your stem or gong is too tight to fit properly on the heater, I suggest NOT using it and contacting Andy for a replacement. Every single piece ive had fits easily over the heating element without force, twisting, or needing to find the "right angle".

See @Osn Dosn 's post above to find out why.

Oh and bro, that black ABV looks partly combusted if you ask me.

With a finer screen I seem to get consistently more even and darker, if I want it, avb . Even more extraction if that's possible with this baby ;pd;
The cotton I put in the joint is looking more golden every day soaking up all those goodies:haw:
Edit: definitely send that back the fit between gong & enano shouldn't be tight. A few times when I pulled the nano off the gong came with it ! Only because I had pressed down on it while taking a draw.

Sorry Caligula, I think I was confusing you, because my "quote" to OsnDosn's post wasn't clear!

Sorry, Im super lit right now thanks to my E Nano and some fire type Jack Herer. I meant to say that this can happen (broken glass):

Edit: Looking at that on my color corrected PC monitor instead of my smartphone, I take back what said about it being partly combusted.

Indeed! However I was trying to figure out a way for him to be able to match his PH wood.
There are many techniques.
With cold wood, we use crayons to fill cracks.. and can make any color look a match!
Because the wood gets hot....
You would get powdered Tempera paint, and work a bit of it into the wood putty.
a gentle blend of purple and tans... until. satisfied.
let a pea sized ball dry overnight to see how well you did on the color, before filling the gap.

Caligula and Ataxian have an idea, Canjoodigit!

Seriously, the purple heart looks fantastic. I would love to see that fixed! I am half wondering if I have some leftover hxtal from this repair if I should send it down to ya!

My girlfriend who hates the herb and all things related was admiring the E-Nano today, she said it was beautiful! Hahaha not only a great vape, but popular with the ladies. Maybe this isn't the Zippo of vaping, maybe it is the James Bond of vaporizers!

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
Hey, look now, I don't need you guys discussing the best ways to handle my wood. :p

Yeah I am warming up to the idea. :\
I'm getting lots of advice lately regarding my wood. :brow:

Come on mate, you and I both know that everyone of us who owns an E-Nano has serious wood ;) It's nothing we haven't seen before, or the dude on the book cover Caligula posted for that matter!

All my days in a daze...
ahaha thinking of that guy examining my wood with that little magnifying glass is terrifying!
Of course, surely he would prefer some sort of reduction lens for something so obscenely gigantic?

So I just had another session for medical research and can say that I saw quite some clouds, am well medicated, but
brownE.jpg

On the left, nano, heated up all evening, starting at 6-7-8-10, always ended up at 10, stirring giving tons of time etc

On the right, what I had left in my Ascent, same material, max heat level too.

Confused

Oh and: using a transformer, but from the beginning

Who knows of a solid website to buy oils to diffuse on the enano,
I am going to turn you on to a real solid seller that has the rarest and highest quality essential oils.
You could go to any natural food store and buy Now brand essential oils..
and I order NOW brand online from a few places (pureformulas is cheap on NOW Oils)
http://stores.ebay.com/sweeders/
Sweeders sells oils.. buy 3 get same size free.
Sweeders is great, and all oils are 100% pure.

...confused
In the Ascent the herb touches a hot surface
In the E-Nano Hot air passes the herb.
Try to not be hypnotized by the resultant ABV color.
Convectively achieved ABV though seldom as dark is still well extracted.

* Sorry for back to back post. mods can connect them if possible. I was confused and in way too good a mood.. I goofed!

Thanks, thought I ask fc first before bothering you..

Not sure if a killawat is a voltmeter. That I own. But not with me right now..in a couple of days. Post instructions here?!

Yes I'm aware that the visual of the abv is not a sure indicator and that its direct touch with the Ascent, and not saying its better anyway. But it still feels like the Nano 's missing power on the max end. Theres no real change when I turn it up from 7-10, combustion impossible even when the herb is in direct touch with the heater..which is not the same again, but still.

My solo ABV looks like your Accent ,try and put the Nano abv in the Accent and see if you get anymore out of it. I'll give you an idea.
My Nano abv looks similar but if try it in my HI or Solo even my MFLB there's nothing left to give, the Nano gets it all. Same with my HI abv in the Nano,MFLB or Solo pretty much extracted.
I also only use a basket screen facing like a top hat like yours in the picture.

But when I load I also have a small screw driver that you repair glasses with , I use this as my stiring tool and I tamp down with the weight of the screw driver only. Try only using the one screen.

If you measure the voltage coming from the dimmer at level 1 vs level 10, you should be getting close to 0 volts at setting 1 and around 120v at setting 10. Measuring voltage on an ac unit can be very dangerous, wear rubber gloves and rubber soled shoes. Then undo the back two screws on the dimmer control.

Here you will need to measure voltage from the two soldered wires that run out from the dimmer to the e-nano itself. :) let us know what you get from this test!
