I threw this up awhile ago for some other folks...

Hercules SR71/SR74 (including optional Nibbler XL) instructions....

1. Place coil(s) in chamber with rod running down center
2. Prime coil(s) by placing .3 on top and melt it into coil
3. Place additional .3 on top again after melt in
4. Close it up and vape away
5. After initial preheat...15 seconds or a couple rips....3
seconds on and a couple off for duration of each rip.
This prevents oil burn.
6. When done....continue drawing/ripping like normal
without pressing button. This is a cool down, and
should be done until unit is cool to touch.

*If using Nibbler XL after step 4 lube fittings with Vaseline
lightly and slide it on.
**If using the sr71 these directions are for a 40-60% cut coil.
***If using the sr74 these directions(oil amounts) are for BOTH coils.

Well, my 7.4v Ti KISS died today. It didn't really get too much use because my driver is the Omicron w/3.7v KISS. Probably less than .5 thru that one but my 3.7 is a different story. Probably at least 2g through each, the Ti and standard version. @THC SCIENTIFIC I need Triton!

So a lot of these TI KISS carts are dying huh? What's the issue? I recommended to a few peeps...not really looking forward to the fallout if it turns out to be a faulty product. Any insight is most appreciated.

I've used the Okeanos bout half a dozen times...tip for those with access...use snow instead of water :)

I push the button 5 seconds on, 3 seconds off, 5 seconds on and I begin to inhale. Never burn :)

Today the upper coil was "climbing" some millimeters alone (and my Hercules is always standing) :suspicious:
I pushed it downward and it's okay (I had less vapor before to push it). I don't understand how a coil can raise alone ! :mental: Someone had the same experience ? Can be haunted my Hercules ?!:freak:

Mine died after 6 days of very low use (no more than 12 times)

Hopefully not "yellow" snow....

@Vapvap the button press varies by wax consistency. The times I give are guidelines to get started. They are the recommended rule of thumb, as determined by the experiences of people in this forum....and myself. Though they will be subject to variances like coil length and material (ti vs ss), battery charge, wax consistency, personal flavor, etc.

Also, if coil climbs alone...you are sucking too hard most likely.

Can you say more ?
Many cycles of heating and cooling will cause metal fatigue which creates weak spots in the metal and it becomes very brittle and breaks. I have been very careful with mine to not let it glow dry and very careful when loading. I didn't even use this last one enough to need cleaning yet:(.

I've had my Okeanos for 2 weeks. Unfortunately in that time the glass part of the bubbler has managed to crack in half. Even when the glass wasn't cracked (/ruined) the thing never held water properly. The orange rubber seals didn't seem to be enough.

Otherwise it worked great and was a fantastic product. Huge milky rips and much easier than the standard Persei cartridges. I still swear by the thing. No issues with the TI KISS.

The glass problem is a known issue and there are o ring replacements that stop the leaking issue. You should put in a ticket on the W9 website IMO.

@NaderCHASER I have solved nearly every issue for the Okeanos to date (at least for myself). Please pm me any issues, and I will be glad to assist you. Once you get your new glass that is!

...all this talk of Okeanos glass breaking made me wrap mine with clear tape the minute I got it cleaned up from the box. I figure it will at least keep the glass together should it break. The leaking issue was addressed earlier and some kind of water resistant lube seems to be working. Vaseline was the OPs solution. I've been using a tiny bit of coconut oil (also on the threads) and it seems to work just fine.

Thank you both!

A great suggestion!

Are you folks ever going to be able to get that tape off the glass, or is that a perma-mod?

I do not use tape. I just use the glass tube. My original one broke, though I believe it was due to an imperfection. Glass is glass after all. New tube works wonderfully.

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...
I know that some of you have both, so I figured this would be the place to ask.

If you have a Persei 7.4 with a KISS cart why would you need an enail? Or any nail for that matter. I only have the OMI and it's KISS but it is very nice. As easy to load as a nail if not easier. No torch, nail or extraneous equipment needed. I can only imagine the dab you must be able to get with a 7.4 cart.

Am I missing something here?
