Okeanos Micro Bubbler

Stuck in Dab Coma
I happened to come across this nice looking piece of equipment not too long ago while surfing the forums:

The Okeanos Micro Bubbler

Ive looked around and it seems fairly new, I'm wondering if anyone has had the chance to investigate into one of these, and I'm looking further then the new method their using to make the coils, obviously that's bad ass, I am curious about the water " bubbling" effect they claim. Is it worth it? Does there seem to be any significant sign of the water cooling the smoke at all? Is there any worry of the water expelling from the device? even when held upside down? Lots of questions and no answers... lol. I may just have to buy one to satisfy my curiosity.

But does anything ever live up to the expectations that our minds can build in the 3-5 business days it takes to receive a new trinket? Not really, but heres to hope anyways :)

This is a Persei attachment, so you'll find discussion in the Persei thread.

It's being discussed on the thread mentioned, look at the last 10-20 pages.

As far as i know it IS NOT exclusive to the persei. It is available with either a 3.7 or 7.4 v atomizer depending on the users option (e.g. power source)

Also, if you read my question, i obviously know its there and what was said and remain unsatisfied in my quest for knowledge

This kinda reminds me of something thumper's dad told him....

I believe the item itself is worthy of having its own thread for easier access for potential buyers to investigate with

But if you have anything helpfull to add in please do.

If the Sr71/74 didn't merit it's own thread, I'm confident the Okie won't either. I somewhat agree with your point. The Persei thread is getting hard to digest with its length. But if there' a thread for this accessory, it seems like all the vaporizer accessories would have their own threads. Which is cumbersome in itself.

Also, the Okeanos is spanking new on the scene. @Sleepin in CA is our resident guinea pig expert.

BTW, there's a board for the community to sound off on the site. This would be a good discussion to take there, as a suggested route. I know in some of the smart phone forums, there's a sub-forum for accessories, troubleshooting, general question, etc.

Edit: Here's my input. Be very gentle with the heater section, that you don't dry fire it glowing or mess with the wire trying to clean it. Also, make sure to get the new o-rings, which IMO are an improvement for the leaking issue.

Some of are on the sidelines with fried heaters and trying to decide about getting another (when they're available) or waiting for the Triton (which is my route).

The unit isn't exclusive to Persei because of the 510 thread option, but it is exclusive to W9 (until the chinese knockoffs come).

Hey thanks for the mention! Nice to see the Okeanos getting out there. I echo @syrupy here with the new o rings. There are also loads of other tips and tricks.

Here's some to start the thread off...

My initial review...

Some fixes....

My Okeanos after mods.....I also use two black o rings under the Okeanos labeled tube, and one above it. This prevents clogs!

And some info...
The black o rings I used are from Home Depot
Size #241 (9/16" O.D. x 7/16" I.D. x 1/16")
Center post o ring is size 005....found on eBay....Can't find link....

Hope this helps out....I'll post more as I come across it. If you guys have issues, or want to see something specific...please just tag me and ask. I'll be happy to help out.

=)

How to swap a dead okeanos kiss cart for a stock kiss cart (any kind).

1. Remove pin from the bottom post of the OKEANOS kiss cart (save this you will need it)

2. Repeat the same process for the stock kiss cart

3. Insert the OKEANOS center pin into the stock kiss cart taking care not to move the wire in the center next to bushing.

When finished it looks like this...

Now go use your (once again useful) Okeanos!

=)

Edit....the benefit here.is.....an okeanos (or modded kiss cart to okeanos cart) can be used in the okeanos, or by itself. Whereas a standard kiss cart cant be used.in the okeanos without this mod.

This is a nice little set up, out of the box and in use fast. Cleaned it and used silicone grease on the water bearing threads and o-rings. Using it on my provari @ 3.7 volts. The factory coil was 1.8 ohms, it vapes like a champ. The most difficult thing for me was finding the correct water level, the vapor really fills the glass chamber and pushes water up if you have too much.

Thanks OP and everyone else. This was the topic I joined FC for, I'm happy I did.

Solod out.
Got mine today. Extremely well made piece. I like it a lot. Much improvement than without water for me. Did not disappoint. Also I used olive oil instead of Vaseline to help with the seal so far so good.

@Sleepin in CA Dude, AWESOME! I just converted my standard KISS into an Okeanos cart so I won't have to stop tinkering with this toy while waiting for my order. Thanks so much for this! (I don't really drink but pretend those are bongs instead of beers. lol)

Oh man, I once saw two people do the cheers clink with two glass bongs (not expensive ones). Glass and frowns everywhere!

------
My update is the Okeanos is now pulled from the injured list and back in regular rotation. My dead cart was resurrected through @Sleepin in CA 's Kiss conversion procedure, and the leak through the outside has been fixed by switching from PG to oil-based lubricant via G's instruction. The Okeanos box makes a good storage if placed upright when there's water in the unit.

Edit: Deleted a question I see was already answered.
