Hi Vape Community,

I've seen a few pre launch reviews about this product but would like to find out what the community feels about this product.

http://www.kandypens.com

It looks quite promising, not only because it's able to handle all three atomizers but I can use USB to charge the vaporiser.

What do the rest of you think?

I'm sold on the Pax by ploom but now, this is quite tempting as well.

Lol, I love how they are going the straight and narrow route promoting a substance that will kill you over cannabis!! E liquid, dry tobacco, and concentrates. What's the concentrate cup for??? Hmmn, must be all that cranberry extract people are buying up!!! We live in an ass backward society...:hmm:

I suggest looking a T-Vape if you are interested in a pen for loose-leaf. But if you aren't trying to be discrete the Hammer will do both concentrates and loose-leaf better than most vaporizers you'll come across.

If you want to do e-liquids or concentrates primarily it would be best to not go for a 3-in-1, you'll end up paying more than needed for an herb attachment that doesn't work or works poorly. From what I noticed e-liquids and concentrates only need new attachments or an adapter for the threading if you want to swap eLiqiuds and concentrates.

Hi Paytonpenn,

Thanks for your suggestion. The only reason why I would think about the 3-in-1 vaporiser is because I'm still thorn between loose cut tobacco and liquids. I'm still not too sold on liquids hence if I get the 3-in-1 I'm covered for all forms. Also, the USB charging is quite a good option to have.

I understand the convenience but I can't recommend wasting money on products that wouldn't serve their purpose. You can build or buy a device for liquids for under 20 dollars, if these are e-liquids. If you like loose tobacco I even more so recommend the T-Vape.

Hi Paytonpenn,

Will definitely do some research into the T-Vape before I make the leap into the Vape world. :)

Thanks again.

There are a lot of companies now trying to get in on the cannabis vaporizer market with flashy but crappy vape pens. If they work decently at all they don't seem to last long-pretty much disposable, like most e-cig batteries. If a vape isn't getting positive reviews here, from experienced vaporists, it's probably not worth buying unless you really are looking for a throw away vape.

It sounds like the OP has already made his mind up?

IMHO the skycloud/kandypen is a POS. Sort of a "2 of spades of all trades, master of none".

There is no magic bullet portable vape that does everything really well. There are, however, vapes in that form factor that can do almost anything with the right cartridge and/or accessories. W9 and TET really being the only two companies in that niche that I'd fuck with.

Anyway, I hope I read into the OPs posts incorrectly and that he/she will reconsider this overpriced Chinese e-pipe.

If not, have fun and please be sure to post up your experiences with it!

After seeing just how much money the Grasshopper was able to make off of literally vaporware, I imagine we are going to see several more companies try a similar schtick. The SkyCloud is just the latest is that crop and I'm sure it's by no means the last.

I found this laughable press release while I was perusing. They claim that they spent a year and thousands of man hours to create this fully branded Ellipse pen, and that this product will defy the laws of physics and engineering (their words, not mine - seriously). I also found out that KandyPens, the company behind the SkyCloud, was started by a particular gentlemen by the name of "Graham D. Gibson".

Now this is interesting, because Mr. Gibson has a bit of history in the business world, especially emerging health/wellness sectors. His companies have a history of shady business, including charging credit cards without consent and making wild, misleading statements; such as claiming his Acai Berries would cure cancer.

One of his companies, Central Coast Nutraceuticals, was fined 1.5 million dollars by the FTC last year for this behavior. It quickly folded, and I guess this is his rebound. Judging by the way this guy operates, I would stay far, far away from his company and their products.

Thank you all for your comments, advice and suggestions.

For a noob, such information is truly useful and very much appreciated.
With CentiZen's reveal, I have much more research to do on this 3-in-1.

@Bkwan23 are you still looking for a 3 in 1? I don't think you'll find a quality vape to do all three, maybe 2 of the 3 but either herb or eliquids aren't possible. Or wont be as great as they should be.

You realize that this "3 in 1" is just a battery with replaceable heaters right? There are a multitude of products which have been able to do this for a relatively long time now.

I mean the fucking Omicron and Persei from W9 and various TET units have had oil, e juice, and LL carts available for years now... and theres the added bonus of W9 (or TET for that matter) not being a shady fly by night company.

IMO the only research you need to do at this point is to figure out what other product you should buy. The case for NOT getting the Kayndieepeen is pretty much set in stone at this point.

At the very least go order the parts to make your own (or better yet a REAL mod) off of Fasttech, including all those add-on options. You'll save about $100+ over the MSRP of the "basic" Kayndieepeen... while at the same time not giving a scamming asshole your money.
