@ Berkey, any chance you can show pictures of the problem?

@ Grim Chiclets, amazing work!
Where did you get the retaining ring?
Is it stainless?
You could drill a tiny hole in one or 2 sides and slide a pin through it to secure it to the wooden stem.
Everyone, please be careful to not use any treated wood for their stems.
I will do my best to take a picture of it by the weekend and post it but I have reached out to VB via 2 emails that I have for them without a response! I have 2 PNP's and at this point, will not use them again until these issues are resolved. I hope @TherealVaporblunt or @Engineering can please remind them to respond to their angry and concerned customers who reply on their products everyday. My PNP is in my pocket all weekend long and with the weekend around the corner, I'm furious this has been ignored all week. As for OGB glassblower, any idea if they are able to make a glass MP? Does anyone know the ETA as to when the Vapor Blunt team will be releasing their glass MP and PoNG?

Hi, a week ago bought a pinneacle, but the plastic has been broken.
The quality of plastic is bad pinneacle. in less than 5 days has been broken, look at the picture.
Return is not good business for me because I live in another country and sending it cost me about 90 dollars .. I'd rather find a way to fix the broken plastic.
Someone knows some kind of glue or sealant that is not toxic and operate at high temperatures?

I found the exact same thing on two of my Pnp. I was told by Gotvape and EZvapes that its a slit built into the unit. I thought it was a problem, I contacted VB regarding this issue and never did get confirmation if that was a flaw or not. I did send a picture of both units with the slit, in fact I sent 3 emails. I was told Engineering would contact me, but never did.

I asked others on this thread if they had the same thing and nobody said that they did. I have not had any problems with either unit. I notice when the unit is cool, it's barely noticeable. When it's hot is when I can see it. Do you notice any leaks? I didn't, but I do use the WT, and this makes the WT a bit unstable.

I will be curious what you hear. I have 3 Pnps and not sure which one goes in what box, they require the box with the unit it came with, when returning.

This has to be the dumbest condition for a return in the vaporizer market and does give me plenty of reason to pause when thinking of purchasing future Vaporblunt products like "the Baker". I think they need to revisit and amend their return policy Big Time.

EZvapes and Gotvape are both online websites. I bought 3 total 2 from these sellers and 1 from VB itself. I gave up, getting any response, because my units seem to work OK with the issue. It's the same exact spot where you have your slit, it's in the front on the sleeve area where the mouthpiece attaches. I live in WA state but didn't buy either one at a mom and pop store. Very interesting.....

If you know of a fix, let me know. I'm curious if some Pnp are made with a built in slit. I would like to know. Why would both EZvapes and Gotvape both say the same thing?

I think it's a problem of plastic, heat, perhaps the PNP is very delicate.
very cute, I practice, but very delicate.
EL will be the next man purchase portable arizer only because a friend has since more than a year and it works perfectly, I using it quite the truth

I second this please =D if Its going to take too long for VB to make it I would rather just get it through OGB glassblower, so if anyone knows a referral that would be great :) I wish VB would come out with a black on black GonG, then maybe id wait a little longer unless the OGB can do that as well.:bowdown::bowdown:

Just a quick note in pure excitement, sorry! I just finished a second session on the PNP with my new prototype car charger system. In a previous post I mentioned part procurment. I received the parts, had a number of unsuccessful runs (charge only) but eventually figured out what the PNP really needs to charge and operate at same time. So warning to all you USB 5.0V based system explorers; enjoy charge only as you need more than just 3.0Amps to get operation and charge...

I will try to figure out the picture thing if people have interest in this seed post. Will give me something to do while I wait for the back ordered H2O tool...

So now I can go from the barn, plug in the car and be fully charged all the time...

Seems like a lot of recent angst with the PNP, I've read the posts, seen everyone's pictures....and baffled why I have zero of these problems. My PonG looks great, no chipping or degradation, no slit cracks in the bullet housing, and my battery has been working great. I only use it a few times a week and rarely inverted fwiw.

Some of you seem to use the PnP quite heavily and on the highest heat settings and also inverted frequently, not that you shouldn't do that, but I would guess there's maybe a relationship between these issues.

My biggest negative is I have to be in a warm environment or it doesn't seem to operate well or make great vapor, but indoors or warm weather, big clouds and great medication delivery. Outdoor or in a car during winter and it seems like I get nowhere close to where I want to be. It does double as a great pocket hand warmer!

Best of luck to all with PonG issues, I may jump on the glass version when it comes out.

I have had mine for about 4 months and I just noticed the exact same slit on mine. This makes me think it was built this way bu just for clarification, @Engineering is this something to worry about?

A rushed post here: but basically me too. My original MP and PONG look fine. Except I do have issues with the MP/PONG's steadfastly sticking to the PNP via resin buildup. That's my biggest issue.

I haven't noticed the weaker performance in cooler environments. However, I've mostly been using with wand reclaim w/ cotton in my bullet. I haven't used my pen since. Level 3 and 4 dry outdoors and w/ the WT at home. Hasn't let me down.

For some reason I'm not finding it as irritating on the throat as previously. It's small enough that I'm generally 'packing' though have only used a few times/week as well.
I expect that to increase as do hours of sunlight. :luv:

@ Grim Chiclets,

Now I'm day dreaming of a design for a metal housing.

My friend actually has a TAIG mini CNC mill and a mini CNC lathe... so the possibilities are endless.

You'd have fun on them making some wood pieces for sure.

EDIT: Or what about a wooden housing for a glass gong/MP?

Man, if you made a wooden housing for my glass GonG that fits the PNP and my glass piece properly, I would pay you!

Honestly, I don't know about the TVB glass GonGs. If they give us them for free to replace our dodgy PonGs as they said, then cool. I have seriously spent a fortune on replacement PonG's/mouthpieces and flavoured mouthpieces that are advertised on their website to work for ALL VB products, which they don't.

I just need to find a good filter screen for my GonG (which has a 12mm outer diameter/8mm or slightly less inner diameter stem sticking into the top of the heat chamber a la the original PonG. Then I'll be good ;)

The slit is not supposed to be there :ugh:

Looking at my parts here, the crack is forming on the knit line in the plastic. For reference:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weld_line

It's an annoying issue, and I have alerted our mold shop to the problem, but it won't have any real impact on your pinnacle's performance.

@Engineering - I may be mistaken but it appears that you never replied to my response to you. I have owned my PNP for a month now, and been able to use it for 2 weeks - due to melted PonGs! I can now use it again with my GonG, but we really need a solution on this. One of the pongs was indeed a PC one (weighed in at about 5.2 grams). One was PES and nonetheless chipped away bits of plastic, the last one I noticed was found sitting in my bullet which I was vaping - a nasty surprise to say the least...

I am not trying to be a dick here, truly, but we need to know when the official GonGs will be available, and whether the entire path would be glass. I have managed to sort myself out with a custom GonG now, but I would like to get something official from you guys so I can be comfortable it is the most suitable solution. Many of us vape for health reasons, which is why this concerns us!

I figured as such. So far I have not had a problem with it and I hope it dosnt get any worse. I don't think I will try to return it as long as you can confirm that it does not open the airway to anything that should not have hot air passed through it.

I have been using my units with the slit for months now, I didn't think I noticed a problem with performance, but I would have liked to have gotten some response back before now. I'm also wondering why Gotvape and EZVapes said to me about the slit, that it was something that was built into the Pnp.

Thank you VB for being honest. I have been very patient and supporting of the company, it's not good public relations not answering customer problems. Customer service I hope has been improved over the last few weeks. Folks shouldn't have to come on FC to get their questions and problems answered.

Looks like things are finally moving at Vapor blunt. They came through and are shipping me a pinnacle for the battery problems. Hope everyone else gets their issues worked out.

Hello all!
I did a major test of the PNP car charger Proto1 on the way home tonight. 1 hour commute with 90% usage. Best ride home in a long time...

So here is a picture of Proto1 running at initial setting. This was the first session and first time for operation and charging.
FG3h2cG.jpg

The heart of the proto is dang small (small square above my PNP) and can do 12 amps (way overkill!!) but will easily do 5A without air flow. So here is a photo of it in a box so it can sit in my glove box with 12V outlet...
HA3zA0P.jpg

I plan to make more prototypes for my friends that got PNPs and my other autos. I have had mine almost 3 weeks and use the crude out of it. Zero PonG issues! Now with my new car charger, my PNP battery should never be low...

Edit: having issues with photos from Imgur... (Fixed it!)

@ herbivore21,

I've already found someone that can get me some briar wood.

I also have an old mini pipe that is made of briar, that I might sacrifice.... after all I don't fuck with combustion anymore.

By the way, I was very curious if you had a screen in your glass gong?

I am using a cheap stainless steel screen in the top of the chamber sitting just on top of, but not in the bullet. I would love a screen that sits on the glass, but can't find one yet!

If you can seriously make a piece out of wood to hold my GonG in, I will happily pay! PM me with details! :)

Got my high temp silicon tubing. Only need the tiniest sliver to keep the glass wedged into place. My GonG is now complete and I'm very pleased with it indeed!

And I've just sent plans off to Mr Oregon Glass Blower for three new versions of GonG, one of which is a little bit over the top, hoping he'll say its possible. I'll post an update if he gives it the go ahead :)
