Heading to Denver. Where should we stop??

OK, so every year we take a ski trip (my son and I) out west. We usually go to Utah and have for the last few years. It's an easier ride to the mountains than Colorado and it's unreal powder skiing. The thing is, I always get nervous bringing meds and devices into SLC. I always have, with no problem, but it takes some planning and serious packing, LOL.

So this year, I was researching the trip to Utah and it hit me. Why not go to Denver again! I figure that I won't have to bring anything, and I envision renting the car and stopping to stock up on all different kinds of meds for the trip!

So, I know there are restrictions for out of town folks (we are both medical, not that it matters), but there are 2 of us and I figure we can procure enough medicine for the 4 days we will be there. So my questions are:

What is a good place to go near the airport, or on the way to Summit County? Are there places in Summit County?

We would like to get some flowers and concentrates. I'd love to buy a disposable, loaded pen and also some edibles. Do these new places sell pens that are pre-loaded? I ask because we don't have that here in RI, and it would negate having to bring something to dab with!

How much are gapers allowed to spend?

Thanks for reading everyone! I hope that this is how it works out, but I honestly don't know much about the legal stores in Colorado (obviously). We just think this would be convenient and safe, as well as a fucking blast!

***If this is better of in a another thread, mods please move. Thanks again FC!

Only flowers? I have read that as well, but didn't really understand exactly what that meant...

And weed maps is cool and all, but I'm having a hard time finding shops that are near the airport and convenient for travelers to Summit County. Anyone?

My only experience with legal weed is with the quarter my roommate bought a few weeks ago. He paid $120 for 7g of bud that is maybe an 8/10. It's not bad, but nothing like the dispensary bud I've become accustomed to.

The shop he went to is called Citi-Med. Looking on a map, it's a bit out of your way (prob at least 20 min south of I-70).

This should answer your questions concerning laws/limits

Thanks. What I don't understand is... What if I wanted to buy a gram of honey oil? Can I then buy 6 more grams of flowers? What about edibles? How many grams does a soda contain?

And I guess I'll have to Google maps the airport and then each address of the shops.

You can purchase a 1/4 oz of flowers per person, per visit. Same limit applies to concentrates. Edibles are capped at 100mg servings. You can find those o-pen c02 cartridges almost everywhere it seems. Colorado has plenty of great concentrate companies, so to limit yourself to only those PG cut c02 cartridges would be a shame.

I would check weedmaps.com they will tell you what shops are recreational, and the good ones have a price list. The best is to try and go to a shop that has just turned recreational. Because of they way the laws are set up, a dispensary is able to do a one time transfer of their medical stock to sell recreationally. This means that they will most likely have a larger stock with more options that typically might only be reserved for the medicinal market.

Prices are still fairly high, but that should settle down once their is more access.

@Tstat, I know you like bubble... see if you can get your hands on some Solid Rock whole plant bubble. I have been enjoying some Diesel and some Scotts OG lately.
It has been my most terpine rich vapor experience ever when ran through the evo or firefly. I know its denver area, but don't know where. Locals should be able to tell you. I think Solid Rock is well known...
edit: seriously the tasties vapor I've had, beats any dab in my opinion. Get ready for sticker shock though.

Do you mean River Rock by chance?

Sounds like he means RiverRock  Jib's makes some nice water hash.

If bubble is what you're after then you have to scoop up some essential extracts. Of course, there are other amazing bubble hash makers in Colorado as well, but Nikka T has a hype for his product that actually lives up to it.

Mmm, that looks great! What I'd like to do is get a variety of things. We will need flowers and that bubble looks great. My son wants those sodas, lol. I will need edibles for my back pain after skiing all day. And I'd like a pen (sativa) for when we are on the slopes.

I finally looked at weedmaps.com on my computer instead of this crappy iPad and it is very cool. I should have no problem identifying a couple of stores on I70 on the way to Keystone. Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone, we are psyched. This used to be a heavy drinking vacation, but my son doesn't drink anymore (thank god) and I'm getting too old for hangover skiing. So not only are we going to ski some BIG mountains, we will have a blast shopping for cannabis instead of beer and vodka!

I certainly will. I love Colorado, but haven't been for a few years. Utah was always so much easier and you don't have to get used to the altitude as much. But now it's the altitude that's exciting, in more ways than one!

A couple that I have gone to are Dank Colorado and The Colorado Harvest Company. Dank is right off of I-70 and the people there are really chill. They even gave a me a 20% coupon for having to wait 10 - 15 minutes on a Friday night. Strains that have been really good here as of late are Critical Mass, Skywalker OG, Super Blue Dream and Golden Goat. And honestly, I've have a few folks that I buy from that I found on Craigslist, so I'm confident you'll find what you need. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

Is "essential extracts" a brand/dispensery? If you say it's better than river rock, im all over it...
