Yeap! Too handy is the right thing to say! Even vaporizers tat are "better" in certain areas are doomed when the Lotus is at hand... Pick, load, hit! Minimum maintenance… Hard to beat!

So I just got the Lotus in the mail and I wanted to try it. I packed a bowl and think I got it vaped properly idk I took probably 2-4 good hits. I packed another probably vaped 1 hit i don't even remember lol and its going great. How much does one bowl hold? like .1? And I don't really smell anything even right after vaping is it not leaving a smell or can I just not sense it?
Oh and i LOVED the taste.

Glad to hear you enjoy vaping! I lose my smell briefly after vaping... only for a short time and seems strain/device independent... haven't found a way around it yet...
Lol I kinda do too except I can smell really strong odors, thats it.

Why don't you give ol' @Max Jitter a call about that?I don't see why it can't be covered by the warranty…
I don't see how the glass GonG stem is better than the SS one but kudos for the mod… Never know when someone might need to so such a mod.
Glass bowl always taste better then SS in my opinion. I think many other people here will also agree.
The SS WPA also does not fit the same in every glass piece I have while the gong always fits and seals great.

Just got my shipping confirmation today.
Thought I'd let everyone know about a major privacy concern I'm having. The email was sent in a batch, without the other email addresses blocked to me.
So, I now know the email of everyone whose order shipped today. I assume they can see mine as well.
I know privacy is an issue when ordering vaporizers so I thought I'd post here for you guys. I've emailed the Lotus team and will update my post when the issue has been resolved. I also invited Max to post on the issue.
EDIT: As you can see from the post below, the issue has been rectified. 13 minutes flat. Cheers to the Lotus team. Can't wait for it to arrive.

I seriously appreciate you still participating in this forum so much. Major reason I'm choosing the lotus. Things with massdrop keep getting pushed back, why not just offer a coupon directly to the consumers like on places like this so you don't have to go through a third party?
I'm definitely using the Lotus a iot, but one issue is I'm still combusting frequently. Not sure where the sweet spot is all the time, but about 1 in 4 bowls end up going over the line and it burns, tastes almost toxic, very nasty. I don't have to worry about that with my portables that are digital and don't require a torch. However, the taste and effect form the lotus are very unique and enjoyable and very worth the added effort.

Well , don't overfill cause the closer the herb to the cap is the more scorched it will get. Also check the cap for herb particles that might combust and then fire up the herb. Smaller flame would benefit to avoiding combustion too

There is verdampftnochmal but some people have bad experiences. I live in Europe and always order through the manufacturer instead. I hope another European store picks this up as well and give some good support..

verdampftnochmal seems prone to stoner errors, but i wouldn't call that bad support. I hope they stock the Lotus soon... getting from the US you usually end up paying your countries VAT and the price stays roughly similar so no real advantage in going straight from Mendocino except if it is out of stock.
About discounts and massdrops and whatever... a manufacturer is not obliged to supply discounts or coupons, it seems people are regarding a discount code or promotions as the norm and no one pays full price anymore.
And the advantage of Massdrop and why there is a discount is because you ensure a certain number of sales. That is not the same as handing a discount to everyone who decides to get a Lotus.
Just get the damn thing already! The massdrop discount will not be worth the wait, i'm sure.
And vapelvr, with experience you will minimize the number of times you combust. That is the catch with manual vaporizers but, it allows you a temperature control that is only matched in higher end desktop units.
You won't be able to drive a F1 car if you can't drive very well.
Some manual vapes don't provide good driving experience, regardless of your technique and most will give you an inferior experience to electric desktop vapes.
With the Lotus, it is easy to get the hang of it and it will reward you with a great experience.
Another thing, by the end of the bowl, take smaller hits... that way it will be more easy to notice if you're over the top without blackening the whole load.

I'll just put this out there for the people who'd like to save a few bucks. Picked up my lotus from EZVapes.com about a month ago and it was a very nice experience. The vape shipped very quickly, maybe three days door to door and during an intense snow storm.
They shipped the color I wanted and also included a decent acrylic grinder and an upgraded stash jar that has their logo on it. Very nice. Was lucky to catch a discount code '2014' for the month of January which also brought down the price quite a bit and picked up the wpa from them too. The only thing they didn't have was the jhook model but I was able to snag one through a seperate transaction which was still very cheap. No affiliation to EZVapes, just a positive experience.
I'm sure that somehow, MT still got their money for the sale too.

Correct. I believe they just have the pipe kit and the wpa adapter and they had all of the colors in stock when I ordered. No upgrade to the sleek lighter and no jhook. Don't think they have repair/ spare parts either.
But the free jar kicks ass! I was expecting a mini amber jar but was sent one of their pop top jars with an ezvape logo on it. Freaking love that thing!!! Ymmv tho... I certainly wasn't expecting that.

How long is the bright part of the flame mate? It should at max equal the distance between the points of the lotus leaves on the vapor cap... If with such a flame (max 5/8") you still scorch the herb you need to draw a little harder. The bright part flame at 5/8" should barely touch the hot plate while drawing or even further if you draw very slow. Check those factors and I doubt if you can blacken the load any further...
