Fast & heavy home hitter

So just another which vape should I buy thread..

I've owned the Plenty and currently own the Ascent as my portable.. it was meant to be my all around unit, but it doesn't fulfill all my needs so a second one makes sense.

I'm looking for something that can be used quite fast if needed - meaning the overall time from getting it started to having extracted and absorbed all the ingredients.
I'm also looking for something that creates big and heavy clouds, out of small amounts too, and that isn't profligately consuming my expensive medicine. So overall you can say I'm looking for a bong replacement. Wanna be ex smoker here.

I already decided for the E-Nano, but as I'm living in the EU I could get in trouble with it at the customs due to it's lack of a CE certification..

Any advice on that or further recommendation would be highly appreciated :*

my vote is and will always be for the DBV. i can do all the things you mentioned using different techniques. i feel like its one of the most versatile vapes out there and a damn good value for the price!!! winner, winner, chicken dinner!!

With 7th floor there is little inovation. the inovation is more in added tools than in improving the vaporizer itself.

there really is no difference between the SSV and the DBV other than the "lean" that the SSV has (which i could easily copy with my DBV on a small book or something if i wanted to) and the price (SSV costs more due to all the custom glass it comes with). oh and i forgot.. the DBV does "hands free" naturally and the SSV can do "hands free" with an add-on accessory.

i watched the versa thread and video and to me... it really mimics an LSV but is made of all glass with a different heater style. i am NOT saying its exactly the same as an LSV (since the LSV can not blow up bags) but they are very similar in usage. it MAY be better than all other vapes out there but since i never used one i cannot speak to it other than what i can "see" in videos

what innovation is needed?? its a proven product that is simple in design, simple to use, and has proven time and time again to work. heck... they even have a model at their office that has never been turned off for years and still works. no need to change what works

I'm not limited to 7th floor am I..

And I can't find the Versa thread :/

Really thought there should be more options.. but the past year I was more or less only looking into portables.

how about a flame based unit like a glass vapor genie? They hit well when you get your technique down and mimic the ritual of smoking.

if $$ in no problem then the herbalizer has the quickest heat up available.

I'd like to get away from any fire ;) - and I guess I like fancy technique too much.

Willing to spend some cash for a quality product - but the 725 + int. shipping + import fee for the herbalizer I can't afford :/

Well, we will see how long will the no-inovation needed will lead them. They are losing market share everyday and their prices keep going down. The LSV started at 350USD. They could experiment with different bowls, they could narrow the tubes or make a heater cover with smaller holes and use more than one hole instead. They could make a wand for the DBV as well. Just from the top of my head and just for the DBV.

And about the Versa, there are many differences but in the end not that great if you already have an LSV. I will say that their simple model will be much cheaper than the LSV, comparing to the prices today... let alone the prices of when the LSV came out.

I'm not hating on 7th floor, i loved my buddha but it had a few flaws that were a bit unnerving and like i said.. i never saw a proper response from 7th floor to address them except when the SSV came out.

The EU market sucks. The herbalaire provides thick hits i believe. The Herborizer is great too if you're not clumsy.

you are not limited to 7th floor by any means. you asked for certain things and wanted them all in one vape. i find i can do all those things (and more) with the DBV which is why i suggested it. you stated in your OP:

I'm looking for something that can be used quite fast if needed - meaning the overall time from getting it started to having extracted and absorbed all the ingredients - I can have my DBV up to vaping temps in 2 min if its off (mine stays on 24 hours most of the time) and if i leave it at "full power" i can pack a wand and take quick fast pulls and have the wand cashed in 3 more min. thats 5 min from start to finish. you can also lower the temp and take your time and have a 20 min session if you want to as well

I'm also looking for something that creates big and heavy clouds, out of small amounts too, and that isn't profligately consuming my expensive medicine - i can fog out my vaping room with a DBV wand that has just enough meds to cover the screen if i wanted to and have before. i use my DBV more than my cloud when i want to conserve my meds

So overall you can say I'm looking for a bong replacement. Wanna be ex smoker here - my smoking friends that have tried the my DBV all have said the hit they get feels like they are smoking.

you are free to choose whatever you want... thats why i have more than one device for both home and portable.... i simply was pointing out one IME answers all the requirements in your OP thats all.... no 7th floor salesman here just speaking from experience in the vapes i have owned or tried

They could make a wand for the DBV as well.

all glass wands are available for the DBV. i actually had a custom one made by the same people that make wands for 7th floor. you can also use an LSV transfer wand too

Replacement? How 'bout a vape that you can use THROUGH your bong with great results such as the LSV?

so very true lwein... and i forgot.... you cane vape bong with a DBV/SSV too

I'd like to believe that innovation exists
Thankfully vaporization is a simple process, so the old reliables are as good as the latest and greatest for vapor delivery. They may just lack some features like digital control (although simple old analog is usually less risky in the reliability dept.), less of a learning curve, etc.

the 725 + int. shipping + import fee for the herbalizer I can't afford :/
No need to even spend half that much. I'd have to recommend the 7th Floor products too. Time tested hardware, pretty quick heat up time, and big hits. Very good value for your money.

there is a DBV and an SSV in the classified section right now... i will admit... i am not sure if they will ship to EU but they are good prices and it does not hurt to ask the seller if you are interested.

Disagree. A Solo can get you as MEDICATED as a quality table top, but its going to take a lot longer to get you there. A load may take 5-10+ minutes to vape in a Solo where as I can crush the same amount in my E-Nano in a few rips.

Also I agree... if CE certification is important and money is no issue then try looking at the Minivap. I haven't used one but it looks promising plus its made in Spain (IIRC).

That's a pretty general statement that you're making there, eh?

I keep hearing the same thing about the Solo but don't believe it. I hear the draw can be restrictive, which totally kills it for me.

Surprised no one has mentioned the E-Nano. Same type of technology as the DBV/SSV/LSV IMO, a ceramic heater surrounded buy a tube with inlet and outlet holes. Except the tube is metal, so the size of inlet and outlet holes are more controlled than by using glass (7th floor HC). Wonder if you could make a metal HC for the SSV. :science:

They could experiment with different bowls, they could narrow the tubes or make a heater cover with smaller holes and use more than one hole instead. They could make a wand for the DBV as well.

They could make there very own Mini wand like the Vapor Brothers one. :D They did come out with the Oil kit just recently, so that is nice. What do you mean by make a DBV wand?

Well while that's true literally, my intention was anyway to couple it with a bong; at least sometimes - should have mentioned that, but then there's nearly no vape that can't be coupled somehow - and as you probably know that wasn't what I meant ;)
The bong alone has no effect on how the vape works, and my needs are not fulfilled by just sucking on a bong if I want it quick and dirty.. the vape itself has got to know how to do this.

Soo, after all it looks like it comes down to either the MiniVap - honestly mixed feelings about it, just because its rivalry with the Ascent :D ..and ok at least twice the $$

..or: just any 7th Floor product - if I get you right that the Buddha, Silver Surfer and LSV are basically by one company.
Did not expect that by all the VapeX etc. theads popping up.
Also I thought there would be more convection.
I do not know the market at all it seems.

And if I have to decide for one of the three 7th floor I probably get nuts by the Xhundred pages thread each one has. Sometimes the internet sucks. Not you ofc.

Oh and to top that: the E-Nano would still top any of those above?!

Oh and btw: what specifies the LOG vapes you're all talking about.. that it's made out of wood...?! Please no..

Maybe we should forget about the 2 ohs to keep it simple.

Crap. I'm not even medicated yet.

Isn't the E-nano considered a Log vape?

Yep. All use the same type of ceramic heater surrounded by a glass Heater Cover.
