Marijuana Banking Regulations on the Way!

Crohnie

Attorney General Eric Holder said the Obama administration is planning to roll out regulations that would soon allow banks to do business with legal marijuana sellers.

This is HUGE, IMO. It sets the stage for the inevitable, but I never thought it would happen this fast. These proposed laws remove one of the last legal barriers to the Cannabis industry REALLY taking off. This announcement has so many positive implications for the Cannabis industry and users in this country that my head is spinning...with glee, not in the Linda Blair kind of way.

Salutations Crohnie,

...I never thought it would happen this fast.

Hummm... So it may be a lot simpler than expected after all: just flood the participating states with tons of cannabic money and then the authorities will start scrambling around to change federal laws if they must, even those that were reluctant to change them before... So, maybe 20 $ a gram isn't expensive enough after all!

Euh... Money talks i guess, so please donate generously, for a just cause!! Euh... Because maybe Harper will enter then dance when it's all set in USA, eventually!...

It's certainly going to create a split in the feds view. The substance is illegal, but money earned from it is OK.

All that money must be stacking up quick in CO and WA.

Salutations Egzoset,

It's kind of sad, because years ago Canada looked like they were going to be the first Country with legal Cannabis. Then the conservatives came into power... and well we know how that usually goes. :shit:

Canada does have nationwide Medical Cannabis though, right?

Washington doesn't start selling cannabis until summer. All of us are still buying on the down low. Washington isn't quite as quick as Colorado, but am looking forward to it, when it gets here. A dream come true.

With the banking industry on board, it will be safer for the folks working at the cannabis stores, not having to deal strictly with cash. Time to buy some cannabis related stock!

The rules in Canada regarding cannabis is pretty lax in Vancouver BC. You see people smoking cannabis in parks and walking down the street, it was that way a couple years ago. I didn't partake, I wouldn't have risked crossing the boarder with the loco weed.

Nationwide?

Hummm... At least that's what voters are supposed to think in any case, but earlier tonight i was viewing an interview of Enrico Bouchard:

... and i clearly heard the guy saying he may want to move to British Columbia because he considers application of the law isn't that uniform, nationwide... Well, i wish he could express the details himself.

Hi again Aesthyrian,

Here's a supplement of information i've found a just few minutes ago which should illustrate what it's like to trust Health Canada for a nationwide medical cannabis program, in a country run by Harper's Conservative Party:

Wow, can you believe it Aesthyrian!! Once in a while i've read here and there that PPS sold a mix of whole chopped plants in vrac but never actually realized what it meant - and now, looking at it, euh...

Well i'd say only this about the quality of such samples: is it not bits of cannabis wood we can see in the Prairie Plant Systems bags???

I mean, litterally!...

With some luck no US state will ever permit the same to happen on the American side of the border, i guess!

Holy shit! How they could call that medicinal I have no clue, you can't even recreate on that schwag, let alone medicate.

That's pretty damn pathetic.

Never thought I would see an official cannabis returned goods document though haha. When that exist you know the program is a failure.

IF folks are able they would continue buying from the black market rather than smoking that dried cow shit!
That's pretty pathetic. I would use that to start my fire in my wood stove.

I hope the Feds hurry up with their decision about change in the banking laws. Tax laws bars cannabis businesses, dispensaries from using federally insured banks ( unless they lie). What will those businesses do with all their money?

What do they do about their Income Tax? Not pay it, because in the eyes of the law they don't exist?
