"Clear Concentrate"

Is it in one of the new silicone containers? Should scrape out easily with a dab tool. If not yes, put it in the freezer then give it a go. Careful though, it might shatter and fly all over.
yeah it is one of the silicone containers. The last of it just seems to smear around. I will try fridge and then freeze

Take your tool and quickly but lightly scrape the material off of the container walls with a type of flicking motion.

I have tried clear concentrates, and honestly if I'm really spending $60 on a gram of concentrate I would rather go to elemental wellness and pick up some nug budder with %90 THC vs the Clear concentrate that had around %60 IIRC

Elemental has 90% THC BHO, LOL! They make me laugh.....

I thank you for posting this, as I live in an area where such things cannot be bought yet.

I think z9 nailed it. they are not claiming it's solventless so it's most likely isn't. I do think it's great that it's been tested, and is clearly a good technique for purging your BHO (well any solvent extract really).

if it's just the purging process they have then it makes sense that the flavor is gone. heating it up! boiled off all the terps!

On a side note of real solventless extracts:

Since getting my sub, I have had no desire to blast any more buds and make bho. Knowing that the sublimate oil is solventless has me in love with it. sublimate is my new concentrate of choice. still tasty! maybe not as much as 1st run bho, but the peace of mind well makes up for it for me. the consistency of sublimate is great too! almost thick enough to hold in your hand! you can even, if your hands are cold(for a few seconds)! it's very tacky, red, and so so good :)

They should just figure out a way to essentially, just vape mad, mad buds(without anyone actually inhaling! ;) ), let all the vapor collect in a system where they can let it sit and condense. then repeat until you have a good deal to scrape up. I'd buy what oil from them! You could do many different runs at different temps to preserve flavours and the like I bet. First run at the lowest temp, then a 2nd run at a higher temp that would also be higher in the CBD/CBN dept.

Anyone see these before? They just showed up down here in San Deigo via an MMJ dispensary that has been getting items from Harborside's menu lately.

IDK much about it, other than that it's supposedly "solvent free" (Harborside and PGP offer barometric extracted nectar/wax, but IDK if this is the same process) and it supposedly tests crazy high in THC. The BT there tells me the flavor profile is "amazing", but the consistency is somewhat liquidy/runny at anything above room temp. If hes telling the truth, I assume its not a C02 extraction (although thats still a solvent). He also said he didn't think it would work well in "G Pen style" vapes given its consistency. Not an issue with my Hercules, or even a standard Omicron cart, but interesting none the less.

Anyway, the cost is up there @$60g... although thats a deal compared to their full bud nectars which go for $80/g. They also only use glass containers, which is a plus. I've yet to try this myself. I probably will at some point, but most of my extra funding went to buying flowers so I can play with my Solo (that sounds dirty).

In the meantime I wanted to see if anyone has heard of or tried this stuff before. Heres the detailed info... looks like they have quite a selectionf. Check out the pics, the concentrate looks pretty crazy!

I'm kind of hoping this is like Pure Gold, but with different flavor.strain choices and a larger CBD spectrum while being in a slightly thicker medium.

Hey I know this is a late response, but I just picked some up last night (my roomie picked up another kind, the J1. I got the Skywalker).

first impression: THIS STICKS TO EVERYTHING! normally for my pen this is a plus, but this is so sticky that it was getting in the thread of the container, getting wasted and making it hard to put the lid back on. I gotta let it droop into my silicone container I guess. I'm not sure how thick you're expecting it to be, but you should know that after leaving the container on its side for 5 minutes in a room with no sunlight shining on it or anything, most of the wax had shifted to the side! I had to wait for it to settle again before taking off the lid (for fear of wax dripping down into the threads)

second thought: wow this smells like pine-sol! weird! (smells roomie's J1) this smells almost exactly the same! WTF?

smoking: smokes really smooth off a nail, pretty milky. no throat burn at first but you do feel like coughing 30 seconds after. got pretty high. has a nice pleasant taste, but again, it tastes almost like a lemon cough drop, which makes me think of the pine-sol smell and why it smells and tastes like this.
on a pen, it also works well. I drip a little onto my KISS, and the ceramic wick seems to absorb it just fine.

however, after doing some research on the product, i'm a bit concerned about how safe for you this is compared to other kinds of concentrates.

OVERALL DECISION: gets you high, but concerns about the way it's made (their wording is kinda vague), plus the price ($65 here in san diego), leads me to decide that I would probably not buy this again. there's other places selling crumbles and shatters that test higher in thc and aren't quite as murky in regards to their manufacturing process.

thanks for sharing your thoughts and ideas.

Still intrigued by the solvent-less idea, but if this would be possible then why have we not heard of one concrete example of how it is done? seems to me like it would be basic chemistry, and as such the process behind it should be known by many by now... :2c:

Ever smelled d-limonene? Would not be surprised if that turns out to be a 'mystery ingredient' maybe with some pinenine...

@california burrito ill try to get a vid of my technique regarding getting that stuff out of the container @ room temp.

The easy way though is to throw it in the freezer for a few minutes then chip it off.

Also its currently @ $60/g here in SD. Where are you located?

Thanks, caligula, i thought it'd be something like that, treat it like a shatter...

edit: yeah the Point Loma PA charges $65/g for their Clear

NCR formerly PGP Discounters. They go out of their way to get name brand concentrates from Nor Cal and the like which is awesome. Theres a price to he paid for it tho as you will see on the menu. Thankfully they deliver anywhere in the county.

They also have daily specials. Buy concentrate on their "Shatterday" specials.

oh okay, i found em. the prices aren't bad, only $5 than what i usually pay. that delivery all over SD is clutch though. and they have pictures of everything, nice! too bad it doesn't appear to be tested.

If it was d-limonene it would smell like orange oil, but pinesol is definitely a different smell.
Maybe something similar to d-limonene is used as a small carrier agent though.

Actually lots of their stuff is tested. Try clicking on the strains if on the WM menu.

i did, but none of them have the little testing results under them like if they had been "lab-tested"

i'm just saying if they are tested, it doesn't make it obvious that they are compared, which WM usually does show

Decided to get some again...this time the Blue Devil. I got it from NCR, which has a ton of options, but I ended up having a few problems with them. I'll list those at the bottom.

But the Blue Devil is really good, this one smells less like pine-sol. it was a tiny bit harsher on the lungs than the Skywalker. despite what I said earlier, i think i'm coming around to the consistency of it. And NCR puts them in silicone containers, which is rad! But I hate the photos of these Clears, they're all glamour shots with no way to tell what the color it is (which could tell me what the level of thc is in it). The photo on the website made it look very clear, with an almost peach color, but it's a darkish amber. I still enjoy it, but it's kinda misleading.

Problems with NCR (which i'm going to call them today to sort out): I ordered what I thought was a $70 g and (2) $60 grams. The lady told me over the phone the total was $170, but I didn't work out that it should have been $190 until later. Then when I got the delivery, it turns out they only gave me 0.5g of the $70 wax. Which, on their website, is $40. So even if I adjusted my cost, that would mean they actually overcharged me by $10. There shouldn't have been a delivery fee since it was over $100, plus I live like 10 minutes away from them. I'm not TOO worried about it, except for the fact that I don't have any kind of receipt on my end to prove what I ordered, but I figured since the totals don't add up in any way, they'll be able to see the error as well. Thanks to Caligula for this rec, I think I'm going to order from them regularly!

Talk to Frank (co owner) when you call. He will sort you out. I live in BFE and he immediately drove down himself to fix a 1 gram discrepancy.
