What STRAIN works the best for your condition?

I bought a e-book on strains however 2 years old seems out dated already!
So I am desperately trying to find some answers to my inquires?

For example for my SCA (SPINAL CEREBELLAR ATAXIA) I like GIRL SCOUT COOKIES for the day.
DUTCH TREAT for night. CACTUS COOLER for flavor and recreation. The other strains I've tried were just part of the search.

Condition? Strain preferred? Day/Night time?

Ataxia DUTCH TREAT GSC/DT

Parkinson ? ?

Fibromyalgia ? ?

MS ? ?

Lou Gehrigs ? ?

If you haven't seen it before, check out http://www.leafly.com . Constantly updated with new strain info, and lets you search by medical condition for which strain is best, and even the nearest dispensaries to get that strain at. No other resource like it. I always check leafly before buying a strain.

I've recently had great pain control with both Jack Herer and 3 kings. Also both have helped with muscle spasms and intestinal distress.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
Personally, I'm glad for those recommended strains out there, but they're just that.... recommendations for a starting point. I say that because its physically & chemically impossible for it to work based on the wide variance of individual endo-cannabinoid systems and personal receptor uptake feeding one's own body/brain.

But, it sure is fun experimenting for yourself though eh ? hehe

For myself it is doable however to help someone else is more difficult!

My wife has undifferentiated connective tissue disease. UCTD is like a mixture of autoimmune disorders.
She has symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, fibromyalgia and raynaud's disease.
Her top three strains are Girl Scout Cookies, Skywalker OG and XXX Tahoe OG.

The book I just read mentioned "SOUR DIESEL"!
This strain I need to check out!
Thank you for the input!
Also try 3 kings- hybrid of Sour Diesel, OG Kush and Headband. I have some now and it's awesome for pain and muscle spasms but doesn't make me comatose.

What do you think of a strain crossed with SOUR DIESEL & BLUEBERRY?

I was thinking of trying this one?

Sounds like it'd work. I have a blueberry hybrid right now as well, Berry White (blueberry x white widow), and it works well with the 3 kings. Makes me more tired than the 3 kings alone, but that may be from the white widow part.

Funny you say this.
We just got purple GDP and purple GSC here!
Dispensaries are coming to us before the summer, I'm so excited!

I kind of missed the original question when i posted earlier.
i didn't use leafly for a long time however now i use it costantly and love it!
the ability to sort by symptom is incredible and has resulted in some purchases i was much happier with than i thought i would be normally.

spaced out
i find that the strains i get are very inconsistent in the way they affect me especially sativas,
for example a few months ago i got some dutch treat and it was a nice stoney effect relaxed but
euphoric, then a couple months later got another dutch treat from a different collective and the effects
were nothing like the dutch treat i had previously enjoyed.

i seem to get this issue frequently and i know there are many variables involved in growing and in how everyone is different in how strains affect them but i believe the biggest problem are these collectives who are in it for the money and just throw jars out on the shelves and name strains anything they like.

i like to think by now after 4 yrs going to these clubs that i have a good eye and nose for different
strains and if a club has a good reputation i usually come away satisfied but here in socal many cities have
closed down storefronts and it seems like the same shenanigans are going on from club to club and it gets tiring plunking down 20 a g and 50 an 1/8th only to come home with good intentions and then get next to zero effect.

i got some jack herer strain back in nov. that looked great and had that nice jack aroma and when i vaped it
nothing, no effect whatsoever, what is it called pretendo.

anyway, as far what works best for me for insomnia it's OG Kush so around here that is the specialty, you can get a wide variety of OGs and lately these have been very good and plentiful, i have tried other indicas and they have worked pretty well gdp, mk ultra [platinum bubba kush - good for pain]. another good indica strain for insomnia is ingrid but i have not seen it around lately. the OGs are the big sellers so of course the clubs will have around 10-15 OGs on the menu and in these parts your lucky if you get 5 sativas on the menu and if you do they are mostly weak.

I've tried several indica dominate strains from Seattle area dispenceries, but have not found one that works for my insomnia. To the contrary, while fully relaxing, my mind races for 2-3 hrs, keeping me awake. It might be that I'm not vaping at a high enough temp, or that I just haven't found the right strain.

I have what the Doctors call Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. I like a strain called The Doctor. I cant tell you anything about getting it though I am sorry...

I found White Rhino a great strain for sleeping. It will make you pass out :) Do they even have that any more??

Have you experimented with lavender? I use a strong scented lavender cream rubbed into my shoulders chest and upper back to help me sleep and also lavender oil on the light bulbs. I vaporise it also...

All the white strains are pretty good at knocking one out if that is the goal imo.

I have been meaning to experiment with lavender

Personally I love it and it really helped me deal with the opiate withdrawls. I also have a hard time sleeping, as waking up is the worst so it helps me relax and get to sleep. Until I started with lavender I would just sit here till I couldnt stay awake and passed out.
