Cheap High Quality American Glass??

Doug

Just passing time
I can't wait to get it next week. I'll be double barreling it for sure!

Have any videos of that thing in action?

I thought ssfg was cheap for the small beaker and tube but after looking at the ones you've posted - they're relatively expensive.

Yep, inexpensive and awesome! I love those tubes and may end up buying all of them in time...
Fritted tube w/ 18mm joint
This versatile fritted tube can be used on other units as a mouthpiece or add a bowl and hit it straight up!
Price: $149.95

I'm having this made here in AMERICA.

The prices I see are like $360 to $500 for this style of bubbler I like.
It was $175 delivered to my house made to order.

Is this inline with this tread?

I would definitely say anthing by GBD fits into this thread - it just has its own dedicated thread I guess so it isn't talked about much

I loved my frit and Sam was great to work with.

I look forward to hearing how you like it with your Nano.

The size of the glass piece seem to spark my interest!

I was looking for a nice ASH COLLECTOR to pair with this unit however the SMOKE SHOPS had thin glassed imports for 3x the price of a nice domestic one on line?

I do recommend an ashcatcher with the frit, something with the least amount of restriction possible. Do you really need any more diffusion than a frit for vapor?

Its hard to support local shops when they're so expensive I have a *decent* selection of american glass in my LHS's. But I try to go straight to the glass blower now for too many reasons to list.

As long as you cut out the middle men, you'll always get a pretty nice deal. The artist usually makes a few extra bucks, too. Just need to find them on instagram/facebook/twitter and get that email address. Every one of them I've contacted have been happy to deal directly, but you do have to be patient. If you want something and you gotta have it right now...that's what the LHS is for.

Also, Lev's glass is pretty cheap for what you get. Cheap isn't a number...it means that you're getting more than you're paying for, and those pieces are solid. I've had my lattice for over a year and beat the hell out of it. Banged it on the sink. Dropped mason jars on it. Kicked it over. A girl smacked it into a metal table. No cracks. I broke the slide it came with in a week, though. haha The glass dots on it made it way to heavy. Broke the first time I dropped it.

Speaking of artists on instagram I recommend everyone keeps an eye on the work from fellow FC member @Xchadb. He's showed amazing progress in such a short time as you can see from his instagram page http://instagram.com/4mati0n_glass and personally I'm loving the colours on his latest minitubes.

He's selling these little bad boys for $40 shipped in the US and as if that's not good enough he also throws in a free dabber. I tried to embed a video from his page so you could see it in action but you'll just have to make do with a link I managed to pull using Chrome or check it out on his instagram page.

It's a shame I'm in the UK because it would mean the shipping would cost more than the piece itself so I'm not sure if I can justify getting one for myself. I'm sorely tempted though and I wouldn't be surprised if I manage to talk myself round.

I highly recommend you guys across the pond hit him up. I just get the feeling that in a few years he could be a big name and I'll be kicking myself for not getting an example of his early work.

Anyone have the 65mm Showerhead Can or the Showerhead Bub from GBD? They both look pretty sweet. How's the quality of the glass?
GBD in my limited experience has been excellent!

I have the FRIT and love it.
My next larger water pipe will be from GBD.
Great service!

Alright, so to keep in line with the earlier talk of artists on Instagram, I noticed that Swagger Glass always has spontaneous sales on certain pieces. Today, they had hollow foot fritted pieces for $200, Dewaar Circs for $100, and DI Sidecar Ratchets for $75!! I ended up scooping a Circ at $100. I just couldn't pass it up.

Do they accept the request to see the feed or do you have to email them?

It needs an adapter for an Evo or Cloud to fit. Mine is very nicely made. The slits in the Circ could be a little cleaner and more plentiful, but it works fantastically.
